Just watching this again and saw a cat called “Tranquility”. Back in 2003 for my 50th birthday this was the boat I chartered from Cumberland Charters out of Airlie beach. So today is my birthday again, 18 years on, and I see the boat where I spent my 50th! Spooky stuff!
Stuart we're so glad our video brought back some great memories for you. Tranquility is now owned by a lovely couple who are living aboard and cruising fulltime so she's out doing what she's meant to. Cheers!
@@Dreamtimesail On our second to last day we were anchored off Daydream island and our chain got trapped under a rock which even some friendly neighborhood divers couldn’t move so we had to drop the chain and attach a buoy which the charter company retrieved later, at no cost to us as they said “accidents happen”. This was my first go at bareboating and it was amazing, a spectacular part of Australia to be sure. Tranquility was such an easy cat to sail but I’ve moved onto monohulls now. Love the layout of your Whitby 42.
@@Stuart.Mckenzie glad to hear you joined the mono club. Yes the very liveable layout of the Whitby was one of the big attractions of our Whitby when we were looking around the market. Cheers!

bugs and mozzies...we definitely do not like them! some serious crocks out there!
Thanks guys. The bugs are the price you pay to enjoy the wilderness but the big lizards are scary. Cheers!
