I could imagine it playing during a "get to the portal" bit where a scientist has stayed behind and triggered a nuclear meltdown to detonate the facility, and Doomguy and his crew have to escape the facility before it blows.
My favorite fun fact about doom was that it was actually supposed to be a _horror game_ somehow. I've never seen someone fail so successfully at their goal as ID software did. If anything it's the literal opposite, you're the horror movie monster in most doom games. It's funny that they made such a great game when their basis would have looked so utterly different from what we got.
@@fusrosandvich3738 The original game (shown in a few betas) was going to have you and three other AI companions fighting off demons with limited amounts of ammo while you get to watch your friends die alongside you, I believe that if someone died they wouldn't revive in the next level either. They decided a fast paced, ammo packed adventure from Mars to Hell and back with a heavy metal soundtrack would be an easier idea for the team, instead of the original survival horror idea. But I do believe the original idea was the inspiration for the canceled Doom 4, to which they decided it "didn't feel like Doom" so they opted for what they released in 2016. Probably a good idea all in all, who knows what kinda name Doom would hold today if we got the first product.
GBA Doom was my first experience with Doom (my first FPS as a kid was Quake II and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II). I liked Doom so much on GBA i bought Doom II and it is f'in cool. FPS is my favourite game and having it on a portable so super cool. After comparing a few tracks between PC and GBA version, it is clear the GBA version is better.
@LieutenantLousyshot It goes to show you, the real GBA games didn't even begin to challenge the GBA's capabilities. Just imagine if there was a GBA game that pushed the thing to it's limit. All my GBA games are 2D Scrollers (Yoshi's Island/Bruce Lee). I only bought Doom for GBA recently and as soon as i played a few levels, I bought Doom II for GBA. IT's F**king Wicked!
@0neDoomedSpaceMarine lol yeah it is a special card that works like a R4 it uses Micro SD cards for memory then you load it with GBA Roms or Movies... and the GBA played them pretty flawlessly.
if you know how to edit wad files and what not you could easily do that. just download all the songs from UA-cam (yt to mp3 sites are a dime a dozen) and put them in the wad file appropriately titled for each level. If I get the time I might even do that myself and upload the file ;)
Am personally astonished that Nintendo’s toy handheld actually could run doom faithfully well and being allowed by nintendo ,am mean who had ever tout that a game on a non-nintendo machine would be ever ported to a nintendo system, considering nintendo was always farious about blood and gore in games on their systems.

@QullVideo there is no lack o grammer dude i plainly told you what i do with myGBA i watch movies on it. plain and simple. as a matter of fact im watching predator on it right now and no im not flaming. i have a special cartridge that acts as a USB adapter and lets me put my own stuff in it
@deadspace53 games today have alot of blood like gears of war-f.e.a.r-cod:world at war (which is the goriest cod game ever made) and team fortress 2 (very bloody game)
This mix has no business slapping this hard
Nice to see you here Trav
ikr
Same with this port. It has no reason to be so good. Especially compared to Doom I on GBA.
100% agree
Whats up trav?
This version of Sandy's City seems more epic, as if some kind of alarm or escape sequence has started, with hoard of monsters going on you!
I could imagine it playing during a "get to the portal" bit where a scientist has stayed behind and triggered a nuclear meltdown to detonate the facility, and Doomguy and his crew have to escape the facility before it blows.
That snare is badass. That cymbal is badass and that steady hihat sounds like a badass snorting demon!
I agree: That's the one word I thought after listening to this- badass.
I kinda like this version of Sandy's City. Seems more fast-paced, and that right there fits DOOM quite well if you ask me!

This music rocks on the GBA!
I love this version of the song more than the original
Honestly I love this version the most.
WHY OH WHY WAS THIS ONLY USED ONCE?
Spie812 Productions it was used twice in the gba port
The GBA Version of Doom II was better than the GBA Version of the first game
Yup if only they didn't find the Atari jaguar version of doom
I don't know why, but I thought otherwise.
What are you talking about?
It sounds terrible. I would prefer the original one. From PC.
@@ItsUnfoldingasitshould Well, yes, but for GBA, it's pretty good, quite honestly. Especially compared to Doom I's OST on GBA.
Yes
Years later, still kicks ass
Even more years later, still kicking ass
i actually prefer this over the original. the fact they managed to pull a soundfont from the original SC55 version here is insane, too!
Bro WHYYYY does this go so hard 😂 love it
I unironically enjoy this
still my favorite track of any doom track now to get this remade into hd conversion.
i loved these two maps just for this song i was happy this had this gooda music
Oh god I’m stuck in compression hell, still not as bad as I thought tho
Best soundtrack on gameboy advance
XxStarFoxWolfFalcoxX That title belongs to mother 3, but this is up there
This actually sounds bloody damn awesome!
This sounds fast and lively
this sounds like a christmas song. merry christmas from the city levels of doom 2
Wish there was a high-quality upload of this theme.
This is the straight rip of the song. A remixing/remaster would be awesome though.
This is about as high quality as it gets
It's basically the OPL3 PC version
@@johnfortnite1987 Remaster (not remake) of the song is basically the high-quality version of the song.

I have no idea why but I listen to this a lot.
Because is DOOM! ❤
Those damn Pain Elementals.
This is my favorite track for this version of doom2
Damn, that beat

Sounds like a ending theme

God that's a rough start but it gets so good
One of the improvements of the GBA port was that they used this song twice.
I have this game on my GBA SP
Congrats bro
Got like 4 comments on this video thumbs up for that 👍
I also love replying to 5 year old comments
Let's all reply
Keep the comment alive you know?
doom 2 is way better than doom 1 on the gba
With the original "Into Sandy's City" it feels like you're escaping a predators. With this - YOU'RE a predator!
So awesome.
@QullVideo your preaching to the choir the GBA is a powerfull little machine i watch freakin movies on mine. and it never lags or anything.
Wish Space Funeral 5 wasn’t cancelled.
?
The cooler Into Sandy’s City
Yea, In my opinion I think this one is better than the PC version.
banger
love how it says (only for gba) when this is a port of doom II lol

Can we get this game for virtual console for 3DS?
Please?
But I own a 3DS and I'd rather wait for Pokken tournament to get a WiiU
So no. Not Wii U until I get one.
Virtual Console.
I didn't know that. Still I can dream can I?

You're being cynical aren't you?
This has way better songs than doom 1 gba

If you converted it to midi, it would sound like the original. It's just made to play through the GBA's instrument set.
this sounds like its the music to a flip phone J2ME port of Doom lmao
Kinda sounds like Tim Follin music
DOOM 1&2 on GBA are the best ports of DOOM!
doom 3 gba LOL
also final doom wasn't made by the same dev team as doom
Space Funeral 5

i want a pc mod for doom 2 with the doom 2 music in it

Don’t forget to also install the Doom II textures and sprites, it will make Doom II look even more like Doom II!
This doesn't have nearly enough views. Should have another two 0's tacked onto the end.
It sounds better on 0.75x
Zumba doom
is there an extended version?
Why did "Between Levels" get left out
To save space probably.

Doom was on the SNES and N64.
Gore? They tonned down Mortal Kombat but on the N64 Turok had its fair share of gorey moments.
