I dare say I like this more than Mick's rendition.

Oh yeah.
Into Civvie's city 🤘
And it seems to have returned in Doom Eternal.
So, ID might be looking for a new composer. 'Hint' 'hint'
I agree I would like to see him compose the doom eternal DLC since Mick Gordon is not going to do it

@@Evilshtt353 Partly Mick's, partly id/Bethesda and given Bethesda's track record of fucking things up I lean the blame in their direction.
@@Karloss00 if you read marty strattons announcement about it, it's almost entirely Mick's
@@Evilshtt353 That's like arguing that because a game gets released in a buggy, non-playable, and only 80% complete state -- because the producer thought it was an amazing idea to fuck off the opinion of the lead dev and his team and that led to the dev team quitting... that it's the fault of the dev team.
This man is doing the DLC music
Hell right you are!
You’re goddamn right.
Coming back here now that this is officially in DOOM II to say that this is by far the best fan DOOM composition I've ever heard.
Thx!

@JohnnyTheWolf You don't listen to much in the way of metal, do you?
О, дарова АйДиЭшЭлБи
@JohnnyTheWolf Yes, but nobody gives a shit. And shows would be fucking lame if people just tapped their foot instead of moshing.
Good news for you, YOU'RE GONNA BE DOING THAT IN THE NEW DOOM ETERNAL DLC
@@novaseer Nobody really gives a shit about what you think too. People can listen to music they like the fucking way they want.
0:00 > The opening starts off as a black screen and as the music ramps up, the screen is shown moving upwards showing a city in flames, a city corrupted by Hell's influence, massive tentacles wrapping around the tallest skyscrapers. Ashes fall, the skies burning as lava flows in and around the innards of the former populated metropolis. Cacodemons, Pain Elementals, Lost Souls and legions of Hellspawn fly in, march towards to join with the other Hellspawn that ravaged this once beautiful city.
0:24 > You load both barrels of your fiendish double barreled shotgun with demon splaying 12 gauge shells, activate your newly acquired grappling hook underneath your trusty friend and with a firm nod you zoom forward, sprinting towards a massive gap in front of you. You launch your grappling hook onto a far away imp, unaware of your seething fury and swing into action! Upon reaching the now surprised imp, you pull your trigger, blasting it into a bunch of gibletts and alarming all of the demons of your presence. With a grin, you power through them, blasting away, chucking grenades, zipping left and right before suddenly crashing down through the ground and into a massive pit.
1:12 > As you crash down, you find four elevators in this slimy murky hole and as you look upwards, Cacodemons and Pain Elementals fly by either unaware of your presence here or gathering forces to meet you in this gladiator hell pit. You switch your twin-barreled nightmare for a spicy Plasma Rifle that the UAC were oh so nice to let you have and proceed onto one of the Elevators.
1:52 > As the Elevator rides you up, you feel the presence of demons getting closer and closer. Your heart beats with excitement as you charge up the Plasma Rifle, making it zing with a high pitched noise. As it reaches the top, the music slowly builds and you approach a heavily damaged blast door. All you know is that there's danger inside. But the danger will recognize *you* as the real danger. You take the doors into your hands and raise them up and enter the room.
2:15 > You turn to face the room and you are now being completely surrounded. A trap! Oh those poor motherfuckers! 2 Painelementals, 3 Mancubus and a pack of Pinkies meet you head on. You punch your hand into the retarded feature of a safety of the Plasma Rifle and start reigning blue bolts of death and divine punishment into the foes as you spring into the masses! Blasting away with your array of weapons, explosives and brutal rage of your own hands and feet.
2:56 > The foes dispatched, you zoom towards a nearby Exit door, flip the switch and the elevator takes you back up onto the Hellish surface of the City once more. Returning back to where you started, you switch back to your 12 gauge equalizer, grapple hook up onto a nearby platform with fresh Hellspawn ready for combat and start blasting away! This time with zombie soldiers, cacodemons and even the most technologically enhanced demons in the form of Arachnotrons have come and a Baron to boot to add to the party!
4:08 > With so much carnage left behind you and at your feet, adding to the already chaotic landscape of the City, you turn and look at the center of the city where you spy a certain demon-resurrecting fiend, a certain pain in the ass that had total command of Hellfire at its beck and call and a total bastard that needed extermination. You already just terrorized a block of the city, now for the rest of it!
As The Doom Slayer grapples a nearby lightpost and speeds off into the center of the city, the screen rises upwards into Sandy's City, a portal beam suddenly streaks upward into the now swirling sky as more Cacodemons, Lost Souls and Pain Elementals teleport in and flies downward to meet and quell the Doom Slayer in his effort to save the world from Hell's grip!
Andrew Hulshult, you magnificent bastard, you have done it again and this time, with a stunning rendition of a particular UA-camr's favorite song and I must say, quite a lot of people's favorite song within Doom's stellar and ball busting soundtrack; Into Sandy's City. Well done, can't wait to hear more, I'm already melting of what "Bye Bye American Pie" is gonna sound like, or better yet...

So I’m here to make sure this Andrew Hulshult is good for Doom Eternal
He is good too, but i still prefer mick...

Charlie Craft Andrew Hulshult’s music feel so much like old school 90’s metal Doom remade while Mick Gordon’s style is better for the new Doom. His music wouldn’t exactly work for old Doom. They’re both perfect in their own ways.

Bruh. I was heading back to Anor Londo because I was wondering why I hadn't obtained Emit Force yet, guessing I must've somehow not advanced Siegmeyer's questline. After killing the second Silver Knight on the roof, the music starts picking up and as I turn around to enter the stairwell, Siegmeyer just stands there and was aggro'd to me. I suppose I accidentally hit him the first time I was there and forgot about it.
Anyway, so I walk away from him while he literally slow walks towards me with epic DOOM music in the background. And the moment the beat drops, he takes his first swing at me. I felt compelled to fight him at that point, shit was way too epic. lol After getting him to low health I used a bone though.
Ok thats awesome and badass!
"So why not call it the double barrel? Because it's better, because it's super." -Civvie 11
It's awesome to know that IDKFA part 2 is real. Keep up the great job Andrew!
Yup, definitely music that would play in a city that's in total chaos
Jesus this is incredible.
I listen to your score the majority of the time I play ROTT Ludicrous Edition! I remember when you put that score together, and we were all thrilled at launch!
This genuinely amazing! I hope this guy composes the soundtrack for the DOOM Eternal DLC and future games.
I love it. Both this one and the original are top notch. My favorite soundtrack from Doom 2. I hope they continue using you and your talents for future games
I've never paused a Doom session so fast!
Was there when you did IDKFA, sadly i got in late listening to ya, waz overjoyed finding out about proteus, and then doom eternal dlc even?! Not bad for a dallas boy. Keep on showing tgem how its done down here dude.
FYI: This one is missing from your Doom Remakes playlist.
I found myself humming this song today and hoped to see you'd remade it. What a pleasant surprise.
Mick Gordon sadly left ID and we now need you to save the DOOM fandom from Eternal Damnation
You fucking prophet!
I think you will be a good replacement for Mick Gordon in next Doom games
That's the shit I want to hear in DOOM 1-2 remake.
I have been waiting for this one for longest time
I played this while walking down a hallway. My footsteps felt heavier.
I wonder if Sandy Petersen jams to this while he's driving around in his home city lol
Man it's so bizarre and awesome to have known and loved Andrew's Doom covers since way before Doom and Dusk, and seeing him grow so much.
Still rocks hard and sounds like the original! Andrew Hulshult never dissapoints.
You can literally hear DUSK in this soundtrack. It's so strong.
I don’t even like metal that much but i can’t stop banging my head to this
WAD replacing Doom 2 music with your remakes when?
well, he has made at least half of the soundtrack, so, soon
There's one for Doom 1, but he hasn't done all the tracks for Doom 2 yet.
I can’t wait for when the makes The Dave D. Taylor blues
This is the product of years of exprience
You have this.. something that makes those remakes so badass I can't listen without headbanging!
I’m going to be nice… I know how to play a simple version of Into Sandy’s City on guitar, though it’s easy for beginners, and good to build up to getting better at guitar as well!
Here’s the chords:
(Note: This is primarily on the D String, if your left handed, it’s the third bottom string, if your right handed, it’s the top third string.)
Starting off, you’d want to play a Open D, But only once as you then want to play the Third fret of the D String twice, But not too fast, then twice on the Eighth fret, then twice on the Seventh fret, then once on the fifth fret, and then a Open D, then play the Third fret once, then go to the Fifth fret, then back to the third fret, and finish this with the Second fret, and there, you can play Into Sandy’s City on guitar!
this makes me want to cross the street without looking both ways and not hold my moms hand
Doomslayer/Doomguy: “Who are you?“
Interlopers-Chara: “I'm you, but younger.“
Magolor _ âh cùltër. edit i'm stoke man
I eagerly await the day when we have another complete Hulshult OST for Doom 2. The IDKFA mod is godly.

Yup, I like Andrew's work. No need to compare Andrew to Mick to Robert. They all have their own distinct sounds. Andrew's is much more "modern metal."
I wish to hear a version that uses Harpsichord
I know - that backing harpsichord ties the whole thing together.
I guess the softer section near the beginning was meant to tie in the variety that the original had, but it feels the instruments used just didn't service that purpose and made that part feel like a drag that should've been a measure shorter or so. The harpsichord portion seems to really make a metallic cover of this track difficult and that's the only thing I think Andrew missed the mark on. Other than this this was great and brought plenty of variety to make up for it!
i really like it
POV: You just found out Andrew officially released this metal remix.😲
(Made some changes but still.)
I just hope they don’t screw him over like Mick
Congrats on your new position!!

This is my first one of these remakes I’m watching… and I like how on the right it looks like the demon who gets shot has green blood… and on the left a revenant is getting shot because revenants have green eyes, nice touch. Also I love the remake so much

Number one video game music composer. Congratulations on everything you've done dude. Really appreciate it 🤘
I kinda wish it had the harpsicord, but it's still a great track.
Ah yes, the other GOAT. Hulshult is fucking fantastic at his job, those snares fucking slap, and the tone. You don't need a 9 string just to sound awesome

This made me like Into Sandy's City.
Also, I absolutely loved the music you and David Levy did for the Ancient Gods part 1 and 2, especially Blood Swamps, that one was a real head banger
Will you do the rest of the OST too? I hope a new album is made from of them all as well, I'd buy it. I'd love to hear a new rendition of the ending/text crawl screen especially. It's one of my other favourite 3 tracks in the game and I consider it one of two themes of my old school friend. (The other is the CD version of Leela from Marathon) I think it would be the kind of song she'd like if she heard it.
Man! It's just awesome! When I've listen to original one I imagined it exactly this way. Keep up good work!
