@@YungHerbGaming I never watched Wiggins play before he joined the warriors and honestly it would have been a win for the warriors if it was just a dlo and Wiggins switch
Some players make it out of that pretty well. Kyle Lowry ended up a multiple time all-star, not to mention champion, same with Rajon Rondo. Hell, even Mike Conley became a late all-star. All those three players have something in common, they had an edge to them. Their skill sets allowed them to do really well in their later years, some even flourishing in their early 30's. I love D'Lo but I don't see as much longevity in him, injury concerns aside. D'Lo isn't the defender those guys are, he isn't as consistent shooting as Lowry or Conley, he can make plays for others but a guy like Rondo can just summon opportunities for his teammates. D'Lo has the potential to shine in his later career, he already has the shiftiness and the confidence needed, he just needs the consistency and honestly need to just find his purpose.
I think that all the moving around hurt his mentality a lot, going from NY to Cali and then to Minnesota, that’s a lot of moving around for a young man like D’Lo

He has been incredible, this is just what happens when you don’t play in a big market and people only look at his shooting. Meanwhile Wolves look so much improved, largely because of defense, somehow with DLo turning it into one of his strengths because he is actually a very high bbiq player who watches a lot of tape.
With everyone talking about so many guards being in the league, it reminds me of players like Mike Conley, and Goran Dragic. They both became all stars because of other players getting injured. I’m not saying they don’t deserve it, but it sucks to see a good/potentially great guard lose or regress because there’s so many PG’s and SG’s out there. D’Angelo is becoming one of them despite him being already an all star
He's got one of the best +/- in the whole league and has been a key feature of one of the youngest teams in the league going on a 5 game win streak which included the heat and the grizzlies by 40+. How is he been left behind? He might not be filling up the stat sheet like he used to but hes still a quality player
Honestly, that point guard comparison made me think about Zion, because he's in New Orleans and people are STILL getting a little impatient with him. Imagine if the Knicks actually got the #1 pick in 2019 draft.
He's been great since coming back from injury last season for the Wolves. Especially this season. His shooting splits haven't been great but he's impacted the game in several other ways. He gets easy shots for others around him. I don't know where the Wolves would be without him tbh. He's been an above average defender, one of the better off-ball defenders for this team. He's got the highest +/- in the league that just shows you how much he means to this Wolves team. I can see why people might think he should be a 6th man based on his box score stats but from the eye test he's having an all-star impact to this team.
Yeah can tell no one in the comments actually watches him play haha he hasn't been left behind by anything he's still a better player than half the league
Crazy to see people give up on him because he is struggling shooting the ball, meanwhile he is having by far his biggest defensive impact of his entire career. If he keeps this up and he finds his shot… lots of crow will need to be served in the comments
they’ve done him dirty, im calling it and always will say it, if he goes to a situation that actually utilizes him properly he’ll be back yk all star forgot
Honestly, idk where this narrative is coming from. This guy is having one of the best years simply because he has become a defensive impact player. The best on/off numbers of everyone on the Wolves roster. Somehow the Wolves developed DLo’s defense and the team is thriving because of his improvement.
clearly you dont watch timberwovles games because Dlo is acc a positive defender and does an insane job running like a free safety. Great defensive instincts. He has been good on that end
excellent points swish. D-Lo will find his wings in the later half of his career on some Euro-League Spanish point guard type of shit (i.e. jose calderon, ricky rubio)
I’ll never forget when he was on the Lakers in his rookie season going against the Nets and he hit the dagger 3-pointer from near the logo. Scored 39 points and hit 8 threes that game. He was the one that started the “ice in my veins” celebration and then other players in the league started doing it too
I mean... it was. Cheating isn't excusable but he told Dlo that in confidence. He betrayed that trust. He sold him. Once that occured it was going to be impossible to have any semblance of chemistry. People didn't know if they could trust him, and no one was going to take the chance to find out. What he did jeopardized the whole team. As bad as Young's cheating was it was an issue that wouldn't effect basketball (if it did the damages would be minimal). Dlo affected basketball so he had to go.

Idk how anyone can call themselves a DLo fan if you don’t love what he has become this season. Honestly incredible leadership and massively improvements on defense and somehow he got “left behind.” He turned his biggest weakness into something he can brag about now.
@@xavwill4807 I think people just look at his shooting percentage and now don’t watch as much since he isn’t playing in California or NY. Now he is in Minnesota so they don’t watch the games or look deeper past his shooting percentage.
DLo deserves credit for the Brooklyn nets being what they are now. If he didn't get them into the playoffs in his final year, it's possible that KD picks the Knicks over the nets.

Your take on point guards in the NBA especially on big market teams? Was spot on!! As a 43 yr old man, I've been saying that for years. Not only as a New Yorker but as a once Knicks fan..! I'm also a bid D-Lo fan. Meaning I pull for him to do well because he has game but injuries hinder his growth immensely.
It's been frustrating seeing him have as many bad shooting nights as he's had so far this season, but, his defense has been 1000% better than at any point in his career. I believe he just needs one solid stretch of games in order to catch some consistency with his shot, like what was implied, shooters need to be on the court for their rhythm to catch up.
Dlo is my favorite player and as a Warriors fan I appreciate his time with us but he needs to grow in Minnesota cus he's a great player and he still has a lot of potential hopefully he can improve
Interesting point about large market teams and the pressure that comes with playing for them. I think more directly It's about the fanbase and their toxicity more then the size of the market though. Case and point to me as a cleveland area native is the Browns. Here in Cleveland we have a perfect storm of a legendary history, followed by decade after decade of trash. The teams history has created an intense fanbase, even though most people weren't alive during that time they were raised by people who were and were ingrained with love for football. Everyone thinks they are an expert when it comes to football in this town and thinks they know how to fix it. The fanbase turns on players (baker, odell) and becomes that players own worst enemy. We destroy their psyche with our constant criticism and jeering and then almost force the team to release or trade players the fanbase has turned on because they are crumbling under such pressure and furthermore ticket sales will ultimately be effected.
Broo you're very talented, you need to upload more videos if you can. Doing videos about players that the general media don't cover. There isn't much basketball content we can watch on UA-cam nowadays, ESPN is pretty much dead, can't stand them anymore they be talking nonsense about same shit every day
This is what happens when you play for the wolves. He honestly is better than people think but yet not as good as he should be this far into his career. Definitely a starting PG in the league though
The Wolves unlocked his defense. He has become a defense quarterback for the Wolves leading them to be top half of the league in defense currently and at the time this video was put out they were near the very top of the league in defense. Has the best on/off numbers on a team with KAT and Edwards. He has been a leader for the Wolves and when he plays their record is incredible.
I am not a fan of the NBA, but I used to follow all sports as my profession a few years ago. No matter what sport you play there is one constant. It doesn't matter how great of a talent you are on the field/court...if you can't get on the field/court. You also need consistency when you are playing. You can't be red hot for a short stretch and then be ice cold for a long stretch. Best case scenario for him right now it seems is to be on a rebuilding team. A team where if he's healthy, he can get a long look, try to stay healthy for an extended period of time, and then maybe once the team that has him is ready to move on, he can get onto a contending team's roster.
I disagree with the NFL being more lenient in terms of proving worth. Your argument boils down to numbers but the reality is, most NFL players never see the field. The nature of the sport essentially calls for there to have to be surplus, but surplus is exactly that, surplus. In the NBA, if you're one of the 17 on a squad, you're going to get a least *some* visibility. In the NFL, you could be saddled in the practice squad and never move your way up. The NFL seldom makes substitutions because the manner the sport is played typically allows for ample rest. The reason why the draft is so bloated is because teams need to be able to still function in case of injuries, but technology is getting better, and injuries are becoming less common. Most teams have third and fourth string quarterbacks you've never heard of. How often does a lineman get hurt? There's reserves for those too. The NFL has open tryouts for the very reason of filling the roster just in case whereas the closest thing in the NBA is the G-League. Getting a callup from the G-League guarantees an opportunity; moving from the practice squad to the reserves is just more waiting. If you erased all the players on NFL rosters that either don't see the field or have only seen it a couple times, you're going to get numbers much *much* closer to that of the NBA. Still a solid video but I don't know if I'm willing to give you the point about leniency in the NFL over the NBA. Oh and... whats good fellow Georgia native? 😂
Wait wha??? Tim Tebow doesn't ring a bell? He literally left the sport to go play baseball to come back as a tightend. You never hear a guy leaving the NBA to comeback to a new position. Also the NBA has become alot more postionless sport. Pretty much your asked now to possibly play with couple of positions depending on size.
@@Chargers4Life76 but that's the point though, in the nfl you can get chances to come back. The nba doesnt work like that. No bullshit allowed. Look at lance Stephenson, jeremy lin. They'll never comeback.

Always love dlo for his time on my nets. Short but legendary run. Id love to see him back one day
With everyone talking about so many guards being in the league, it reminds me of players like Mike Conley, and Goran Dragic. They both became all stars because of other players getting injured. I’m not saying they don’t deserve it, but it sucks to see a good/potentially great guard lose or regress because there’s so many PG’s and SG’s out there. D’Angelo is becoming one of them despite him being already an all star
That should make him go harder🤷♂️.
He's got one of the best +/- in the whole league and has been a key feature of one of the youngest teams in the league going on a 5 game win streak which included the heat and the grizzlies by 40+. How is he been left behind? He might not be filling up the stat sheet like he used to but hes still a quality player
Exactly bro, he is statistically one of the best defenders in the league right now. Surprisingly.
We gonna see all-star D’Lo soon 🔜 🙏🏽
My guy with that One Train instrumental in the beginning 👌
Honestly, that point guard comparison made me think about Zion, because he's in New Orleans and people are STILL getting a little impatient with him. Imagine if the Knicks actually got the #1 pick in 2019 draft.
It's not impatience with Zion, it's frustration that he looks like Shaq in his final years. He can't control his weight.
u hit the nail on the head with the drafted by a major market argument. i cant think of any major market drafts turnin into superstars
He’s shouting %38 percent he’s trash lmao
@@reese1k625 through 18 games. Shooting far below his career averages. Let’s see what his percentages are at the break and end of the season.
box stats are what make hall of famers and all stars, not “off ball defense” and his “+/-“
Dlo's nets were fun af
I didn't like when the warriors traded for wiggins at first, but now I see why.
You got the best nba coverage on youtube (next to JJ) and your from the A, couldn’t be more proud of you bro.
And just tonight he had a game tying shot to send to OT and the game winning steal to win the game
He's still one of the smoothest guards out there. Fans appreciate his game.
they’ve done him dirty, im calling it and always will say it, if he goes to a situation that actually utilizes him properly he’ll be back yk all star forgot
he would be best utilized if he was used as a 6th man , way too inconsistent for a star player or 1-2 option
Like where. It's clear the nets where all around a great team and Allen is already a better and more valuable player than him
Who’s done him dirty?? Mans very talented but he’s not a star or anything
@@gabrielantunez7642 if he had a less expensive contract he would be very beneficial as a 6th man
Honestly, idk where this narrative is coming from.
Rubio has been pretty respectable since he got on the jazz
I’ll never forget when he was on the Lakers in his rookie season going against the Nets and he hit the dagger 3-pointer from near the logo. Scored 39 points and hit 8 threes that game. He was the one that started the “ice in my veins” celebration and then other players in the league started doing it too
false, dirk started that in 2011 finals dude 🤦♂️
This has not aged well
I will probably never give up on D’angelo Russell cuz his versatility makes him one of a kind
This one is gonna hurt
The way you provide relevant context to prove your point is UNMATCHED!! Great vid
I still can't get over how they made DLo "snitching" worse than Nick's cheating
I mean...
@@ParanoiaKeepsMeWake it’s not. End of story. You can’t say cheating isn’t worse than being morally right and doing the right thing that genuinely makes no sense. That team was already trash didn’t matter about chemistry or not
@@firelordzuko5535save me the sanctimonious bullshit man. This isn't about right or wrong as you so desperately wish it to be. It's about business. Thank God you ain't a GM. The world just isn't that black and white. At the end of the day the NBA isn't about morals. It's about putting the fucking ball through the hoop. Morals don't win rings. Neither does pretentious righteousness. Hooping does. Morals got nothing to do with that.
End of story.
@@firelordzuko5535 The man in your profile literally cheated on his wife. Multiple NBA players are not monogamous and have side babies. Nick cheating on his fiancé, Iggy would’ve been a quick blurb on TMZ Sports but your teammate recording your confession and posting it on social media is obviously 10x the news story and is an overall bigger distraction.
@@ParanoiaKeepsMeWake am I saying that it wins nba games? No. I’m just calling your bullshit cause you said his “snitching” was worse than Nick young’s cheating. And at the end of the day Nick young was a scrub compared to dloads up and coming talent. I understand your sentiment about the whole team chemistry issue but just don’t say that bullshit about being sanctimonious it’s legit being a decent human being
For a DLO fan it sure doesn't sound like it. Talk about his improved defense, how he's top 10 in the league net rating right now, or talk about how willing he has been to mold his play style for whatever is needed to win.
Idk how anyone can call themselves a DLo fan if you don’t love what he has become this season. Honestly incredible leadership and massively improvements on defense and somehow he got “left behind.” He turned his biggest weakness into something he can brag about now.
@@basedoz5745 Either ppl rly don't know or nobody seen this comment...
@@xavwill4807 I think people just look at his shooting percentage and now don’t watch as much since he isn’t playing in California or NY. Now he is in Minnesota so they don’t watch the games or look deeper past his shooting percentage.
this video aged terribly. Timberwolves success this year is so much because of deangelos role
Here after he led the wolves to a double OT win. Love me some dlo
DLo deserves credit for the Brooklyn nets being what they are now. If he didn't get them into the playoffs in his final year, it's possible that KD picks the Knicks over the nets.
Dlo is one of my favorite players
Pat bev looks like he affected him on defense he’s way better defender than before hopefully he can shoot now
Dlo been my favorite player sense his 2nd year in the league, I luv the way he plays and he's just cold asff😭😭 it hurts seeing him and how his career is turning out and how people r viewing him. I just hope he can find his way back into the spotlight agian
I THINK DLO SAW THIS FAMO LMAO HE JUST DROPPED 28-5-4 AGAINST ONE OF THE PGS HES “COMPETING” WITH RN LOL

Fr I moved from Indiana to Atl last year and was shocked at how little hype there was around basketball or even just the culture
I feel like if he didn’t have a thousand injury’s we would be talking about him as a multiple allstar guard
Coming back here after his clutch performance against the Blazers🥱
Damn u went to school with Fultz?! Thats dope
Love your story telling and structure. Keep up the good work.
Damn bro…I used to think it was all about Jimmy High roller…but you really that dude fam! Salute.
Haven’t even watched but this a banger
Derric Rose was the last #1 pick point guard in a big market that was instant success. Drose was special.
Dlo is my favorite player and as a Warriors fan I appreciate his time with us but he needs to grow in Minnesota cus he's a great player and he still has a lot of potential hopefully he can improve
I sadly agree and I have followed him through everything
There isn't much basketball content we can watch on UA-cam nowadays, ESPN is pretty much dead, can't stand them anymore they be talking nonsense about same shit every day
one season wonder that's paid like a superstar
Overrated af
I seriously missed that 2019 Nets squad. 😔
my man swishout out here putting out videos that he doesn't want to make... much respect
I honestly want the d'lo Nets back. Dinwiddie, Allen, and Lavert was such a fun and good roster
I see you with that One Train instrumental 😤💪🏿
man D'lo was and still is one of my favorite players ever, someone who made me fall in love with the game I hope he can turn it around.
We all happy for him when him and kat join
Imagine being a number two pick and playing for four teams in three years without ever requesting a trade. That must be pretty demoralising
I can see dlo having a "ayo KAT they say I gotta come off the bench" season coming soon
Delo’s been really good for the wolves this season
He’s been just okay. Something is off.
He’s been solid tbh, some nights he’s inconsistent, but overall solid
This video is aging pretty well. He is having a terrific season for the Timberwolves
Lonzo did the reverse. He’s BALLING
He wasn't traded 5 times but respect to Lonzo for staying consistent and working on his weaknesses
That 1 train asap rockey in the background is fire
@@unclerico1106 Tebow got cut before the season started
@@Chargers4Life76 but that's the point though, in the nfl you can get chances to come back. The nba doesnt work like that. No bullshit allowed. Look at lance Stephenson, jeremy lin. They'll never comeback.
