While this town is busy sleeping, All the noise has died away. I walk the streets to stop my weeping, 'Cause she'll never change her ways. Don't fool yourself, She was heartache from the moment that you met her. My heart feels so still As I try to find the will to forget her, somehow. Oh I think I've forgotten her now. Her love is a rose, pale and dying. Dropping her petals in land unknown All full of wine, the world before her, Was sober with no place to go. Don't fool yourself, She was heartache from the moment that you met her. My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her, somehow. She's somewhere out there now. Well my tears falling down as I try to forget, Her love was a joke from the day that we met. All of the words, all of her men, All of my pain when I think back to when. Remember her hair as it shone in the sun, The smell of the bed when I knew what she'd done. Tell yourself over and over You won't ever need her again. But don't fool yourself, She was heartache from the moment that you met her. My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her, somehow. She's out there somewhere now. @DalekWindmill It would be impossible to prove that the Judeo-Christian God exists because if He does, He is an immaterial being/mind Whose domain is in a spiritual dimension or realm that isn’t viable to us. It would make sense that if God exists, that He would reveal Himself through our conscience and nature. There are many arguments and bits of evidence for God’s existence that would be rational to accept, however, evidence and proof are not the same thing. It is important to distinguish between the two. Many things that we take for granted cannot be proven via the scientific method or otherwise. Here are some examples: *WHAT SCIENCE CAN'T PROVE: Dr. William Lane Craig explains to Dr. Peter Atkins:* ua-cam.com/video/BQL2YDY_LiM/v-deo.html&app=desktop Additionally, one must understand the nature of evidence. For example, criminals are often not convicted based on incontrovertible proof. It is the cumulative evidence that points to their guilt. I think there are many bits of evidence that point toward God’s existence (I can list some, if you would like), but there is no knock proof that God exists. It doesn’t logically follow, though, that because we cannot prove God’s existence that He doesn’t exist. It is a question that is open to debate and I think it is quite plausible that God is real. Let me ask you something: Do you believe that George Washington existed and was the first president of the United States of America?
@DalekWindmill You’re missing the point about my George Washington example. It doesn’t matter whether you care about America or not - that’s neither here nor there - surely, you believe both aforementioned things about George Washington. America has given you far more than Jeff Buckley. The computer or gadget that you’re using to communicate with me is likely an American invention, but I digress. “Let me ask, do you believe that there was a talking snake, or that a single boat could hold two of every single animal on earth including dinosaurs?” It is imperative to understand that the Bible is a collection of historical documents and stories written independently by 40 authors in various literary genres that require a different understanding.
