I am an offspring of an anonymous sperm donor, and I can't tell you how much this was conversation resonated. You ladies do a great job expressing this paradox of being wounded by our mothers and yet having that wound be a place - THE place -where we encounter the Father and His deep desire for us to simply exist. Thank you ladies, as always!
Touching program on the Mother/Daughter relationship which is filled with emotions and feelings. I am asking for prayers for healing with my 3 grown daughters. They refuse psychological therapy with me. They also refuse spiritual guidance with a priest. I am in constant prayer, fully trusting in God’s divine Providence concerning this messy situation. I also ask our Blessed Mother to help me be the mother God created me to be. Jesus, I trust in you. 🎚💔💔💔🎚
Sister Miriam your encouragement to pray for patience and most of all the guidance to be a good mother was what I needed today. Thank you for mothering us today and always pointing us to Him 💓
Thank you so much, ladies! You do have a male audience and your series on the identity of woman has been an unexpected blessing to my masculine heart. I’m marking this episode for rewatch because while listening the Holy Spirit started to point to places where He wants to come and restore. My Mother is one of the biggest blessings the Lord has given me and I’m so incredibly thankful and blessed by her active presence and maternal care in my life. But reconciling the goodness of her gift of self in the complexities of life, our littleness and our areas of great poverty hasn’t been the easiest for my heart. As a man still single in his late 30s, the Holy Spirit has started to reveal some of the vows I made as a boy, unbeknownst to me, about woman and the love of woman and how that has impacted my story. I’m taking all this to prayer. Thank you!
I wonder if in the world people who treat women for DV and Trauma have shared these new insights of bonding with them and have offered any care in that respect to the mother and her children because I did not and neither did my children receieve this information until this episode. Its given me a great deal of information to pray on and to meditiate on Thank you Heather for sharing your story with us
