I don't think they're ghostwriting for their grandfathers, it's just that the beats they setup put all four into a very similar lane. Am I alone on this one?
The writing seems really similar tbh. The way they come in on their verses, how they set up punchlines and the flow when they decide to double up is sooo similar they just collaborate on the writing for Pete & Bas. I get a feeling we all really they fans all along because the beats and writing are so good.
I think it's a given at this point that the writing sessions are a collaborative effort, but I don't actually care. Pete & Bas still got to perform those bars and we all know how fire they are on flow wise.
I honestly just think it's a case of these young lads are helping them with a bit of the lingo and they probably showed them a few flows, but Pete and Bas are more old school east end gangster type of lyrics
People have been talking about how Bas sounds like one of the old guys from Frank and Maury, and I always thought that while similar....not the same. Now THIS GUY, sounds pretty close to Bas but dead on whoever from Frank and Maury. So for the conspiracy guys, I'm all in these two voiced frank and maury. I still don't think he's doing voice over for Bas. Now they are producing their voice virtually identically.
Just listened to Frank and Maury for the first time becayse of your comment. The song was Sticky, and the Bas voice is right, but the other one I'm hearing the PKJ voice big time.
Yeah they produced Frank and Maury. It’s all part of Sindhuworld. Frank and Maury were just actors for the videos, while Pete and Bas have actually had to learn how to rap and become rappers in their own right (even if they don’t write / produce any of their own stuff)
@@stephenphillips8792 interesting, to be fair I was just in on the Bas side. Bas and OBVIOUSLY his kin here sound alike, but their is a difference. With Frank and Maury, it's dead on this guy (sorry bad with names).
@@awesomefrankrapid I still am 100% in on there's no way Bas at least isn't part of the writing. I'm not even sure he doesn't have a role on the beats. Bas is after all a well established attorney who taught music on the side (despite being the founder of his firm) and has his own piano album too. An alpha male like that who's already rich, he isn't just taking a back seat like people are claiming. Pete...his history and career are less obvious. But I can't imagine they brought him in if he didn't contribute. So while I'm sure these guys are involved, I don't buy for a second two guys who were in their 20's when Pete & Bas started are the master minds. Just sorry, Grandpa Bas didn't leave full time at his own company to do this unless he wanted it! Maybe I'm wrong and this was all about helping the kids out. But I've never met a guy who on paper had to be worth millions and he went this far. And it isnt like they blew up right away.
These guys are obviously coaching p&b, but any similarities with f&m are because of n&d. Dex is the comedian of the two, I'm sure he writes many of the funny bars. nine has to be the genius of the two, but they are both geniuses. Let's not discount p&b from anything, they have to be involved in the writing process (not with this track of course), but these two here are the masterminds that are making it all happen.
These guys are only in their 20s. Pete & Bas have been doing this since 2017. I think they help with lyrics but they aren't performing the music on the albums. Anyway you can easily find Pete & Bas live, blowing the roof off the house in a room filled with 20 and 30 year olds that know every word
"You know, because white people eat that hummus with flatbread" Arabs, Jews, Turks, Persians, Indians, Berbers, Egyptians, East Africans, etc: 🤨 lolololol this podcast🔥

I’m 💯 convinced… the Pete and Bas might perform it, but these guys definitely writing it! The cadences, inflections and even the production is virtually identical. AND it’s more than decent yo!😂😂
Then you're 💯 wrong boss. Even if they spent a year with you, you would still sound like YOU. In your scenario, these guys write all the music, then sit and teach the words and phrasing to P&B who repeat it just like them but slightly off and then live it's all them? Come on man, think it through brother. (Some are saying they're not even rapping like they're MilliVanilli which is super insulting it a ton of ways.)
@@adamcboyd aight man hold up, I said nothing more than what I have said. I didn’t say it’s not them performing, I LIKE their performances. And I can see they’re talented and well-seasoned performers. I read that one of them was an actor back in the day? That true? I just wanna hear the story of how it came to be! They wanna leave it mysterious…keep everyone guessing, that’s their prerogative. That just makes the questions more valid, imo. Also, it’s not “teaching someone how to sound like you.” It’s the structuring of their flows, how they like to switch back and forth with schemes and rhythms… And after the BARS I heard tonight from these dudes, I know they have the talent to ghostwrite from the POV of an ol Cockney gangster (considering one was a lawyer, the other a mailman.) Plus, they’ve admitted to “getting help” from their grandsons with their drill music so, I’m sure you have a better explanation for how they fell in love with rap?
@emerj101 forget the acting. Bas has 5 credits on imdb, only 4 for acting, and all are shorts. The oldest 2017. The same year they started rapping 🤷♀️ Basil Preuveneers is known for Age Cannot Wither (2020) (credited as writer, producer, director and performer of the music). 🤯 James Bond Faces Sexual Allegations (2018). Facing it (2018) Over the Hill (2017) Positive Result (2017). Shut Ya Mouth was released 2017. Hardly proof that he had a acting career before rapping lol
I don't think they keep the hot bars for them...they keep the appropriate bars for them...think about it...70 somethings talking about Beavis and Butthead or Simpsons...nah...P&B talk about baggin snow and hitting the coffee shop.
You probably been told this already but they produce the beats with a little input from p+b on a couple of tunes like longhorn shotgun and pete and bas write there own lyrics to the beats, with a little help from grandkids with modern day slang. And they taught p+b how to spit
re: whether P&B write, look it's impossible for anyone under 50 to write 100% of the lyrics for P&B. it's not just lingo, it's time-based references that you couldn't write about unless you were alive. e.g. "simply the best i ain't tina turner" from lightwork freestyle. how many of you would know that "simply the best" was tina turner's hit in 1984, but not one of her famous songs? the answer is 0 unless you were alive at the time. conversely, it would be almost impossible for P&B to know what "monging in a coffee shop" from bish bash bosh means. it's also impossible for anyone under 60 or 70 to sound like someone 60 or 70 without AI. the voices just get different as you age. so......relax, it's them rapping, it's them writing, and they get a ton of help from these two as one would obviously expect.

11:29 - That Springfield bar is even harder because there's a "conspiracy" behind trying to figure out where Springfield really is in The Simpsons (though it doesn't match the maps you see, it's based off of Springfield, OR because Matt Groening is from Portland, OR (I went to the same HS as he did.)
Went to see Pete and Bas in Manchester recently and mine was on decks. Me and my mates ask came back convinced it was nine writing for them. He sang every single lyric, kept Pete and Bas up with timings and just generally looked proud of the music. Personally glad they are now doing it themselves
Personally I just don't think it matters if they write or rap for them. It's great rap, period.
Its hip hop bro. Oh it most def matters
I think most fans of rap would naturally prefer nine and dex
Gotta confess as someone from london you caught more bars than i did XD
91 shots is nine, dex is handsome dexter
Great reaction, i didnt pick up some of the things that you guys brought up! Agree with the whole situation with Pete and Bas, it was clear that the lyrics and the flows were by their grandsons (or whatever ther elationship is) but i always thought that it was genuinely Pete and Bas vocals as well, now i agree that its probably Dex doing Bas vocals, Pete's vocals on the other hand seem real.
I love y'alls reaction. I'm surprised Nine and Dex aren't getting more attention from reactors.
"They rappin BRO!"
They help Pete and Bas as they're their grandkids, Pete and Bas said they write their own bars but get help for slang from them
I don't think they're literally their grandkids. 9 and Dex are likely the brains behind the whole thing and would have sought out actors for Pete and Bas.
12:03 - The exact moment when Dash resigned himself to the fact that everything he has done up to this point needs to be scrapped and start over because he now knows the new standard to meet or beat.
Dash, as an artists and a creator, we've all been there. :) Now is you time to be a Phenix and rise from the ashes anew. I honestly would love to see you make an attempt, and honest attempt to follow the New Grime Towne sound (my term for all the Sindu label music and the current emerging genre we are witnessing the birth of at the very moment) and push yourself harder than you ever have and do just one NGT song with Sincere. It is the natural progression for all of this: the couch, the music, the friendship, and I know you studying this shit and not just hearing it; you're listening. Take some time, think about it, and break the fucking mold. The key is to be calm and let the words do the talking. You're just the messenger; a vessel that the story (and there always must be some story) flows through.
I'd be happy to chat sometime. Worked in TV and now own a VR studio. Hell! I'll scan both your faces and put you in the damn game if you want!
Do this brother. I promise, if you stick to it and do it honestly, you will only succeed from this.
Besides, we need an American version so we can call it New Grime City. Let them have the town(e). :)

Yes bois been waiting for this one, a banger tune too
yall aint even catch when they said the car isn't a carpool but the girls diving in, cuz of the diamonds my neck[lace] is flooded in
that was one of the last lines...it was a madness
The white air heads is random flavors 😂
Other then that. You can tell both families have mad music in their blood.
I know i wasn't tripping 😂
yea those dudes are sick. music man, the great uniter. love seeing you guys crack up
BEST react by far, fellas you have yourselves a new sub that can't keep the smile off his face, blessed. Props. (BIG L RIP)
Tinky winky - Teletubbies show for kids.
Pete, Bas, nine and dex are carrying the torch and will save this scene from the scandals and pedos
Yay! You guys did it! I'm so happy 😁😁 and loving the dread growth SL very nice
Bas makes reference "moe sizlack"(the simpsons) in window frame pt2 proper geezers these two.😎🤙
Which is why it’s clear that the grandkids write. Super random
UK be bringing the barz.
Anyway you can easily find Pete & Bas live, blowing the roof off the house in a room filled with 20 and 30 year olds that know every word
you guys missed one : side ride in/ridin' in a porche n' a portion of fries on the side
Best reaction to this song by far. Do it proud ❤
Great reaction. Nine and Dex are fucking amazing.
I’m still thinking about these bars… UK drill scene is popping!
"You know, because white people eat that hummus with flatbread"
Arabs, Jews, Turks, Persians, Indians, Berbers, Egyptians, East Africans, etc: 🤨
lolololol
this podcast🔥
WHAT if those are the grankids we always hear about that help them??!?!?!!?
12:42 - Don't know if this will get pulled for "privacy" but Bas is Basil Preuveneers, a Notary Public in the UK with an imdb page.
Nine and Dex - Ignorant Sh** Just dropped
Yooooooo that twins bar is fucking wiiiilllllddddd
bro pete and baz literally play, ive seen them live. its them
Been Waiting for you boys todo this!
Who do yall think these grandkids learned from? From their grand dads!
If Nine & Dex are writing for Pete & Bas, at least it's their own people's.............I personally dont think they "write" for them. I feel it's more of a family gathering to go over some fire beats and rhymes 😊
Also, it’s not “teaching someone how to sound like you.” It’s the structuring of their flows, how they like to switch back and forth with schemes and rhythms…
And after the BARS I heard tonight from these dudes, I know they have the talent to ghostwrite from the POV of an ol Cockney gangster (considering one was a lawyer, the other a mailman.)
Plus, they’ve admitted to “getting help” from their grandsons with their drill music so, I’m sure you have a better explanation for how they fell in love with rap?
@emerj101 forget the acting. Bas has 5 credits on imdb, only 4 for acting, and all are shorts.
The oldest 2017. The same year they started rapping 🤷♀️
Basil Preuveneers is known for Age Cannot Wither (2020) (credited as writer, producer, director and performer of the music). 🤯
James Bond Faces Sexual Allegations (2018).
Facing it (2018)
Over the Hill (2017)
Positive Result (2017).
Shut Ya Mouth was released 2017.
Hardly proof that he had a acting career before rapping lol
These lyrics are several people in a room scheming. The wordplay is thick.
well technically pete and bas could have taught them music, having brought them up lol
They look so like them 😂
Awesome reaction
Also please react to Burnin - Pete and Bas, its one of their earlier tracks and if nothing else the beat is 🔥 🔥
Best track in 2024
Thay sizlack ima fanipakm🐐
Boys repping for the uk 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
These are pete and baz.. grandsons .. i know them personally .. no b.s
You got basically every bar of a uk vid. Gets a sub from me
they are pete and bas.. Just turned down the octave on vocals and added some gruff.. ITs then same style and talk the same stuff.
They clearly write for them but it's all good
Everyone assuming the grandkids write for the old heads who have been fire for 6+ years, and not the opposite, is really interesting to me.
Nahh "mystery" is always watermelon, and the best... Idk why the color makes it different, but its better and also always watermelon.
pete and bas have said they produce their music but they write there own stuff the word flow is closebut the vocabulary is very off imo
Another banger reaction
It's amazing what you can do with AI and good music producing well in lads lol
Wretch 32 - Fire in the booth 5 pls ❤
🎉🎉🎉. Fire.
I don't think they keep the hot bars for them...they keep the appropriate bars for them...think about it...70 somethings talking about Beavis and Butthead or Simpsons...nah...P&B talk about baggin snow and hitting the coffee shop.
N & D going on the background for sure.
FUCK ALL OF YALL OPINIONS, PETE AND BAS WRITE FOR NINE AND DEX!!! 😆
its actually unfair to judge this on reaction, literally every bar needs braking down
Have you reacted to aitch- straight rhymes?
