Pete and Bas have improved a lot over the years, always been Fire but something hit in 2021 because they levelled up for sure after that Plugged in joint
That "Pig farm out in west" bar by Pete was absolutely fire. It's referencing a scene from the Guy Ritchie film Snatch. The basics is that you should never trust a man with a pig farm because pigs will get rid of bodies without a trace.
Maybe a football reference as well? Arsenal and pig farm in west (west ham)? They are standing in Millwall thats why I have the question.. no idea tho...
@@bryantellezsalas3498 I seriously doubt it, odds are it's just because Guy Ritchie mostly makes films about crime, and they tend to be both excellent, and set in the UK, so it's just excellent fodder for references in lyrics. Other UK artists have made Guy Ritchie references before too.
Bas hit every beat,,,he hit every note perfectly with his flow,he switched it up effortlessly..he just bounced all over that beat..that's hard to do...alot of young rappers just don't be talking like THAT...period
Late to the party but M24 saying "shave shave" is cutting throats, and "chinging" is a gnarly British slang for slashing someone. Knife crime bars basically, and he means it too.
Binge watching all your pete n bas reactions lol good shit man...comedy plus good breakdowns and obviously a lot of hip hop knowledge.. you guys are gonna get 100k i think
5:20 - Yeah, M24 was getting straight to the point there. "When I let that bang, it ain't a party pop" (double for his gun and his pistol, so to speak) "Shave-shave, swing it (yes) Tryna ching it Approach with caution Cah you might just end up swimming" (talking about a knife, a lot of UK Drill Slang has to do with weapons and violence (obviously)- nenk, shave-shave = knives)
the laughing at the beginning made me crack up. You guys should look up the UK slang maybe? I'm Canadian so I get a lot of it as we use some UK lingo up here as well as American slang. Keep on going guys! You're positive energy for me.
I found Pete & Bas reactions before I found Pete & Bas... spent weeks watching loads of them. I thought I had scratched that itch, but randomly found you guys and I've watched almost all of your Pete & Bas reactions. Absolutely top tier reactions. 👌
11:52 nobody ever catches how do the bar about snatchin ol’ dude up by the necklace && stealin his phone is and I just feel like I need to be the person to advocate for that INSANE bar
I used to rap back in the late eighties to early nineties. I used to always love going last because I would always shut it down. People might have thought I was trash until I grabbed the mic. Because of the UK slang, you missed some good bars. Example: Did you hear the bar about Pete having a pig farm? Do you know what it means for a gangster to have a pig farm in the UK? Let's just say that hungry pigs will eat ALL of the evidence!😉👍🏿
The Sicilian mob probably did that quite a bit, it’s not an unknown concept. In fact, I just finished playing a game on Xbox called Adios where you play as a pig farmer trying to get out the mob 😂
From Pete entered with "YEAH!" we forgot that M24 was on the track! Props to him for having the foresight to use these two Masters to get him more recognition. But there's the difference. They are Masters of this game! 🐐 🐐
Remember geezer doesn’t mean the same in uk. Geezer doesn’t mean old in the Uk. It’s similar to lad/bloke. Usually cockney. It’s usually a term of endearment. Eg a ‘diamond geezer’ is a top lad/bloke. 🔥 reactions. You’re both ‘honorary geezers’ - respect from the UK
And Pete said I can't stop no bullets so I got myself a Kevlar vest, and referenced having a pig farm out West and if you know don't no pigs eat hole bodies!
I recommend you do Pete & Bas 'Shuffle' too. Plus 'Plugged In W/ Fumez' Every song they do sounds different and you're never bored because of it. After that I recommend 'Mr Worldwide', 'Lightwork Freestyle' and if you're willing to go back to their earlier stuff (where production quality was not as good and they were still trying to find their voice) 'Quick Little Freestyle'. 'Bermondsey' is alright too. 'You Know It's Christmas' is a nice song too. People recommending 'Window Frame Cyphers' are right to do so but they aren't only just Pete & Bas, they have their friends on it too, which based off this reaction you might not be into as much. The same goes for 'Golf' and 'Grandpa', they're not all Pete & Bas. Still good songs as I said because they sound different but might not be for you. Or do them anyway who cares! Keep up the good work lads.
Don't knock their old songs. Since 2018 they only perform live their first 8 songs, plus their 2 biggest tunes, Plugged In & Mr worldwide. I reckon they might add Gangster shit for future live shows.
Its very very hard for anybody to show the technical skill bas did on his verse...love the team but flow and cadence wise?bas is one of the best rappers...EVER,he left earth on this one
Geezer in the UK doesn't mean old necessarily by default, they call young guys geezers too. It's similar to the way you might call someone "bro/bruh", "dude", or one of those hip-hop words white folks like me never say--you know which one.
let me help u lads out , pete was saying hes too old to dodge bullets so he wraps himself up in a cavlar vest lol , also geezer here in England is slang for tough streetwise guy. And yes rap comes from America but this is grime and drill and they are from the u.k
Part of the enjoyment we get from watching Pete and Bas is learning a completely different culture. Makes it even more enjoyable. Im still getting used to the accent at moments but it's getting easier

Boys , please check out Potter Payper real back in style. It’s track from self titled new Album . This guy is British but he has many nice flows some similar to the real essence of US rap and beats too. He’s incredible. Also please check Potter Payper gangstaritus. It’s that pure essence. I’m fact it’s would be great to see you react to both tracks in same video. Honestly, he’s smooth the beats the flows the bars. He’s incredible and he has many tracks. New album real back in style and many mixtapes. He really has it all. Story teller, real descriptive, crazy flows and bars. He deserves the world. Check them 2 tracks and tell me I’m wrong. His beats are usually pre rap essence so smooth with it.
Ay you'll do golf yet? And plugged in session finale that had them last year I believe 🤔 most of them dogs are so cold the bell is mentioning a dead or critically injured op that they have to censor cuz it's illegal to mention that in UK Media
Only if it's other ill nuggas. Then it's a badge of honor to go last ... but if you know dudes spitting huff you never want to go last. Nobody going to hear you
I think m24 recorded his part before hearing Pete and Bas' part. I don't think he waited around to hear the finished track 😅 Anyway, his part grows on you after a few listens.
I'm wondering... Pete and Bas talk a lot of smack about other UK rappers. And no one claps back. So either the community doesn't take them seriously and just ignore them--or--they take them very seriously and know their real reputation and leave them alone. Idk. Just been wondering about this
Pete and Bas have improved a lot over the years, always been Fire but something hit in 2021 because they levelled up for sure after that Plugged in joint
I think the evolution started from Quick little freestyle, then Lightwork freestyle 2020. but bas really transformed on the old estate and golf
From Do One to...sindu sess. You can see the level ups
Jesus...golf is bananas.

For anyone curious "ching" comes from the sound a blade makes when it hits bone.

The line about a pig farm is a warning, that after he takes you out your body will be pig food
Nah bro it’s about the football team West Ham
@@SwampHead-bc2nvOooh, I never thought of that one. Nice reference. 👍
Chingin means stab
I figured swing it meant slice someone and ching it was like chucking it and the blade hits the ground and makes a ching sound
Slicing and dicing more like 😅😬

How many rappers can flow like Bas? I'll wait!
You missed Bas on his scooter after the credits.

Best part of the video 👌
Bas spun his boots off on that verse.

Pete and bas lightwork freestyle
