Jim Kirkwood is never boring, discovering his music is going on a quest.
I think Kirkwood is one of those underrated artists-nerds, who didn't get the prominence he deserved. Maybe his works are too good for most of the people. I never heard of him anywhere except this channel, which is very strange, his music is so unique and creative
this has some beats that are pretty unusal funky for dungeon synth :) I really like it, but I guess it not pulls you completely into fantasy dreams like other dungeon synths do without these funky beats. It's a bit more humanoid.
I'm always on the lookout for his music on cds or tape. Sadly, it seems impossible to find.
It’s cuz a certain overrated somebody stole the credit due to Kirkwood for creating DS (wouldn’t be the first time)
@@OneTrueVikingbard It always takes some greedy jerk to ruin everything. What a shame.
@@OneTrueVikingbard who?
dungeon synth can be a slow paced, sleepy genre (which is not a bad thing by any means), but Jim Kirkwood somehow manages to add high intensity and energy into his recordings and it gets me every time.
All hail Jim Kirkwood. Greatest among men!
Kirkwood is in a class of his own!
This is dope, it's like fantasy themed 80s Tangerine Dream. I'll have to check out more of his work
Jim Kirkwood, every minute of this work is amazing.
I feel these vibes on a spiritual level
King of the Golden Hall is amazing!
MONOLITHIC.
Very great ideas and balanced mix between ambient, orchestral and electronic with unique sounds
This is huge whole new world to me! By listen to it I can easily picture it! It’s world and everything! That’s what music should be! Not like these day
People are making just as many atmospheric pieces today as they were back then. You only have to look for it.
damn i wish i could like this twice
* *UPDATE* * I unliked so I could like again
jim kirkwood my beloved
This is amazing! Very closely resembles the 1970s kraut rock performed by the likes of Tangerine Dream or Klaus Schulze

Amazing!
Both Uruk Hai Tracks give me some vibes of the resident evil theme ... great stuff, thank you so much for sharing!
I would say some vibes of John Carpenter's stuff
fell asleep and woke up to this feeling a happy/sad/heartbreak from a dream about epic roleplayers who rp'd since kids only now after all these years reuniting one last time as it comes to a end.
/I think you will like it , truly unique ambient album ua-cam.com/video/CvgHzNHSROo/v-deo.html
this is incredible
Amazing! Never heard of Jim Kirkwood before - strong stuff indeed!
cool
epico 💯
Great for lucid dreaming.
17:13 I am HOOKED
Dungeon retrowave
the flute inserts from the first song are reminiscent of the tune from "Shrek Forever After" when the ogres danced to the pipe of the Pied Piper. I'm even surprised that I remember it, but there was a similar musical motive, only here it is more accelerated.
Remembers me berserk music
this is the fantasy dungeon synth you seek. Jim Kirkwood is a name to be remembered.
wait a second, Jim Kirk??? Captain Kirk??? Dammit Jim!
shit i would love to own a cd of this
Where can I find these pieces besides UA-cam?

Would love to download it but can't find on bandcamp.
Buy it. The Artist deserves it.
That's what he's saying he's trying to do. Have you never heard of Bandcamp?
I would buy this on any media. Too bad its all on CDr and out of print.
@ourworlds atwar Well, none that I care to use.
Buying it is better but pirates are ok too. Don't always listen to the good catholic boys round here
It's from 2004 though?
/By the way, how do you like it , ambient album for almost an hour ua-cam.com/video/CvgHzNHSROo/v-deo.html

Read the video description 😅
You came here cause you watch Xisuma's streams and this record slaps
This sounds more like a Mega Man X soundtrack than anything related to Middle Earth
zombi ripped off jim kirkwood
I'm really torn, cause I really love the sounds and fonts of dungeon synth, but I can't stand ambient kind of music
