  • Taking care of Rainbow Sharks is pretty easy. Rainbow Shark Care - Tank Mates & Full Grown. I advise buying a descent quality food like Omega One brand.
    More aquarium thoughts:
They are at it again, this time kept them separated but opened up the bottom of the divider about a half inch... he still seems initially interested in just trying to eat the eggs, but this time his “manhood” is showing and he is doing the “wiggles” near the eggs. I still don’t have high hopes as he doesn’t seem like the brightest male when it comes to breeding.
Side note but kinda related. Something a customer brought up to me the other day. They said, love how you can make some fresh bread tastes much better right? well its just yeast, flower, egg, oil lil salt only 5-6 ingredients then go to the store and look at some regular bread like wonder bread for ex.. the list to make that bread is about as long as this list above. Big diff in the 2 and taste PLUS most important I'm sure MUCH better over time for you just like our fish.
So while I was at work my baby cousin came over my mom let him in my room long story short he gave my fh a pellet I feed my sulcata tortoise and know he seems to have an organ out or somthing help did a water change added esepom salt to food ect help pls.
ebjds and platinums 15$ each plus overnight shipping!!! half are gone already!!! these are 5 month old Jack's strong line and not those lfs ones that die. everyone who has got these has had good experience. I am a member of jack Dempsey enthusiasts and you can check my name out on there. hope to hear from you soon! thanks Bosman aquatics. I'd like to know size too. I have 1 out of 7 left out of a batch I bought back in March from someone else and it still hasn't broke the 3" mark, but my bg's are 5-6" and same age.
He did the vid about Richard Brices ebjds. aka tarmacks. Chris Weber you dont know who sent you those 4 ebjds you got for free in that video. and Peter showed you how they are not garbage fish. Peter taught me. I was curious as to the video. This was the batch I lost 6 out of 7. I kept up the tank meticulously and they still dropped 1 by 1. The one that's left still hasn't hit 3". It's a bummer because they were beautiful fish. So you have any males around 5"? I still have a few blue gene females left.
It's the little things like this that makes the constant grind all worth it. Only gives me even more ambition to continue and improve no matter how hard some times are here in real life and in the hobby. Providing hobbyists with fish they desire at an affordable price and Breeding are my two biggest passions in the hobby. What are your passions/goals in this hobby? And what are your plans to achieve them?
I just love anything marine related. It’s peaceful and a get away from the stress and anxiety of life. So the past couple years I’ve been working on trying to collect some different, high quality beautiful fish with personalities. ( I had only bought from the LFS before, so my EYES were open to what I was missing out on quality) So I guess the fish and I have been working together to give me some inner peace. My goals are in breeding, eventually if everything goes how I want it I hope to be breeding a couple dozen species to provide for my local and online hobbyists. Also been recently diving into breeding clownfish, have 6 different species that are confirmed pairs I'm working with.
Since adding plants and mopani wood to my 10g the ph has dropped from 7.8 to 6 or possibly lower. If I put the wood in my 29g would the ph drop be as drastic? I'm kind of confused because I was told it'd be a gradual drop. I'm also using Flourish to fertilize. (No fish in either tank yet btw, still working on a fishless cycle). I’m not sure the proper ratio for it but it’s based off of the size of driftwood vs the gallons. A 10 would need a fairly small piece to drop it slowly. How quickly did it drop?
I'm honestly not sure because I haven't tested the ph in a while so idk where it was before now :( I've been so focused on my cycling I didn't think to keep up with the ph. It was 7.8 3 weeks ago and my 29g that hasn't been altered is still at 7.8. I got plants 3 days ago and added the mopani yesterday evening so I can only imagine it's been dropping for up to 3 days.
Yeahhhh I saw a betta at Petco on Sunday with a big ole bubble nest in his cup. I don’t buy into them being happy just because they built a nest. There are several different species of bettas. The majority are bubblenesters. There are a couple of species that are mouthbrooders. No. Not all males make bubblenests. Making bubblenests is an instinctual behavior that indicates sexual maturity. They have no correlation with health or happiness. In other words, bettas will make them when they feel the urge to make them. Even some females will make them.
