I always liked tomboys personally. Maybe it's because I grew up in the countryside but I always found it weird if a girl DIDN'T like to hunt or fish. Everyone in my town did that. Gender was never a factor. I was always the weird kid because I didn't hunt/fish. I'm a nerd who likes his office and I'm not a fan of dead things personally. Instead I liked to cook. My father is the most grizzled man I've ever met, the kind of man that'd 100% fight a bear with a knife if he had a chance just to prove he could. But he also loved to watch Iron Chef. Some of my fondest memories as a kid were our cook-offs. We almost never went out to eat because everyone in my family could cook better than any resturant and we litterally couldn't justify the price when we could make it better. To this day my brother-in-law sends me venison every hunting season just so I can smoke it for him. If my girl wanted to bring home some game, I'm more than happy to play around with it.

Yeah I've really grown tired of the current click-engagement game being run. Creators that I respect have to engage in the vaguely-worded titles, and use really obnoxious thumbnails, and I can't lie and say it hasn't been frustrating to see. It really makes it clear that all these content creators are brands, and are making brand-oriented decisions to maximize their engagement. It's not just on twitter, it's all over UA-cam as well. And it extends to the topics they cover. Drama sells super hard, people enjoy watching the fall of influencers / 'exposed' videos, so there's a bigger focus on negativity then ever before. And the video creator is incentivized to put their thumb on the scale in how they present it, and try to make someone's fall from grace as dramatic and meaningful as possible. It just really sits wrong with me, that we're in a period where negativity and engagement-drive is guiding what we watch. I think it's gonna have a gradual, lasting effect on people and how they see others and themselves. It's probably a big part of why everyone feels miserable.

I created a Twitter account YEARS ago but never used it. Then I started seeing just how ridiculous people are on there and I'm so happy I never used it. I don't know much about the in depth history of America but from what I can gather, a few of them have these weird elitist behavior towards the people in the South. It's like there's these constant attacks and stereotypes of them being dumb or inbred or superstitious. While I can't really confirm if it's warranted or not, it's kind of weird to hate on a group of people based on that. I'm pretty sure some of them in the South are the same and hate other people as well but the masks slids off for a second when it's just a lively young girl sharing her life, not showing off or telling people what to do and the first thing people wants to criticize about her is her "manly" accent. Also yes she does seem like a decent and cool person. Even if they don't believe the same thing as you do, it's just stupid to hate on a person based on that. as for inbreeding, apparently it's a common thing (my stepmom is Czech, she studied abroad in Mississippi in the 80s and apparently her host family was just openly incestuous... she says they were nice people though!) and to clarify, i'm not hating in any way. the accent just grates on my nerves, personally. i dated a girl for a couple of years (a long time ago) who had a thick-ish southern accent, and she was a great girl, but when she would say sweet or 'sexy' things it would always sound so ridiculous/goofy to me, which just made me feel judgemental and bad. that's why i can't do it anymore.

I always liked tomboys personally. Maybe it's because I grew up in the countryside but I always found it weird if a girl DIDN'T like to hunt or fish. Everyone in my town did that. Gender was never a factor.
I was always the weird kid because I didn't hunt/fish. I'm a nerd who likes his office and I'm not a fan of dead things personally. Instead I liked to cook. My father is the most grizzled man I've ever met, the kind of man that'd 100% fight a bear with a knife if he had a chance just to prove he could. But he also loved to watch Iron Chef. Some of my fondest memories as a kid were our cook-offs. We almost never went out to eat because everyone in my family could cook better than any resturant and we litterally couldn't justify the price when we could make it better. To this day my brother-in-law sends me venison every hunting season just so I can smoke it for him. If my girl wanted to bring home some game, I'm more than happy to play around with it.

Yeah I've really grown tired of the current click-engagement game being run. Creators that I respect have to engage in the vaguely-worded titles, and use really obnoxious thumbnails, and I can't lie and say it hasn't been frustrating to see. It really makes it clear that all these content creators are brands, and are making brand-oriented decisions to maximize their engagement. It's not just on twitter, it's all over UA-cam as well. And it extends to the topics they cover. Drama sells super hard, people enjoy watching the fall of influencers / 'exposed' videos, so there's a bigger focus on negativity then ever before. And the video creator is incentivized to put their thumb on the scale in how they present it, and try to make someone's fall from grace as dramatic and meaningful as possible. It just really sits wrong with me, that we're in a period where negativity and engagement-drive is guiding what we watch. I think it's gonna have a gradual, lasting effect on people and how they see others and themselves. It's probably a big part of why everyone feels miserable.

I created a Twitter account YEARS ago but never used it. Then I started seeing just how ridiculous people are on there and I'm so happy I never used it. Now I consistently avoid people that say they have Twitter and use it. Twitter and Reddit are the most pathetic social media sites I've seen. People try wayyy to hard to get approvals, validation, and acceptance to the point they say or go along with anything to "fit in" with a certain demographic.
