Woo, under $1,000 per Month. I am going to put a middle finger to my manager and packaging up and hitting to Nha Trang Vietnam in August or September. Good for you. Enjoy while you can. Good Luck.
You cant compare the rent prices in vietnam to the ones in Canada/USA, the reason why things are so cheap is because people do not get paid that much so they have to make it affordable to what people make here. My 2 bedroom is $275 plus $110 on Utilities, I can make it for less than $600 USD a month. I shop at the Mega Mart or get street food
I've starts to follow your videos and watch it daily : thanks for all the info's , visit Vietnam is on my bucket list - back to Vietnam I mean ( i'm a older Vietnamese living in the US for a few decades )
Good video, I am also working in a budget for Vietnam. Actually most of money is wasted in having fun… dates, dinner dates, drinking, “les balloons” and women… If u remove all the “nocturnal fun” activities you can definitely be in that range of 17-19 million VND… but then again you need some fun.
The cost of living in Vancouver is skyrocketing but you can choose to live at another city that is more affordable in Canada. You can get a job with high pay in Canada to pay for that. In Vietnam, I don't think you can find a high pay job.
I need the Vancouver Canada Survival guide too bro. It is so hard to live in this country with all time high costs, unaffordable prices , such a most expensive city in the world.
I'm moving to Vietnam in less than a month and your guide is what I've been wishing for. However, I'm moving to Hanoi and I am afraid that after purchasing it, I won't find much relevant information.
Hi! Thnx for the vid, very informative. How about health insurance - do you pay for one? (HMO or do you use travel insurance) I'm glad that your health is better. I'm curious - why Saigon? Are you employed by a company there or are you self-employed/ digital nomad? I was thinking that if you're self employed, you could choose another place where the air quality is better, e.g. Da Nang, Nha Trang or Da Lat. TIA. Cheers & take care!

Can you elaborate? Anything I should watch out for when choosing a gym in vietnam?

I hope you found a home here. Viet kieu is a viet at the end of the day. If it’s too tough out in the world. Just come home.
Man. Most Vietnamese make less than $1k per month. So yes. Absolutely you can survive for less than $1 k per month.

Hi Pete, Just subscribed to your channel. Planning a trip to VN in August traveling by myself let's hook up.
How much would the rent be if you have a 12 months lease?
It all depends on type of house and district/city range from 250$ - $1200 (high end) I talk about it in my guide.
You can get a Vietnamese style house with Vietnamese neighbours for around $50 pm in cheaper areas
People shouldn’t compare the rental rate between countries.
Vietnamese making $500 a month.
Canadian making $200 a month in Canada.
But what if you're making USD and spending it in Vietnam?
@@brokethehabit yep British Vietnamese here and that’s my plan too. Pounds+Dongs=💵💵💵
how much is 100 canadian dollars to vnd
You should make a Discord for digital nomads in Vietnam bro, would be a vibe
Hmmmm
@@brokethehabityo bro. Help me make this my reality.
I spend 200 dollars a month. 100 for rent. 100 for food and everything else. You should learn how to budget.
What do you do for immigration? I thought 30 days visa run is common?
dont need to, everything is in my guide.
if you really tight on money, 6 millions dong or 330 Canadian Dollars you could still "survive" ... in some extent.
what district is your appartment? can you share a link looking for a spot.

Is it illegal to be a homelessness person in Vietnam? I want to go back to Vietnam and live a life of a hobo.
