when i started watching anime, Nurarihyon no Mago was one of my favorits because supernatural beings are very interesting. and then i found the manga to the anime, that was a little bit different. so i dont remember if it was just the manga or in the anime included too. but i remember it quite good. the explantation to get an inugami is to bury the living dog up to the neck, put a bowl of food right in front of it, so that it cant barely reach it and when its about to starve to death, cut its head of. the anger of the dog about it turns the head into an inugami, wich gives it the power to posses humans. but if it fails (for some reason i dont remember) it befalls the one commiting this ritual. this alone is evil enough. no one needs to believe in supernatural but that ... its just ... just no. and i can imagine that some people are able to do that.
The 'Doudou' story reminds me of a ' practice' that I don't know the name off, but the gist of it is that if you keep wishing something was a thing, it ends up becoming a thing. Maybe A LONG time ago, this Doudou game that kids started to play, became real down the line.
Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Which was your favourite story from this week's episode??
Considering the cruel method of creating an Inugami, that may explain in part why the family is hated.

Thanks Tara! These types of videos are super interesting. I love anything to do with the Heian Era. Otsukare 🙏😔
Now suddenly I wanted to make a compilation of stories from where I'm from...I lived in many places and even have a few encounters myself

Kotodama... Saying things aloud makes them manifest or come true...
@@chunellemariavictoriaespan8752 Yeah, sounds like that is what happened in that story
I’ve heard that described as a “Thoughtform:” that which is given form just by enough people (or one person) giving it enough thought!🌹
Imaginary friend>tulpa/thoughtform>egregore>standalone deity or youkai
Woohoo!!!
Yeah🎉
Couldn’t help but imagine the kids in Naruto City running like the characters in the show with their arms stretched out backwards 🤣🤣
WOOHOO!!! (2)
Is it odd that the story "Sutra" uses "6 feet" as a measurement? I don't normally hear the imperial system used in these stories.
They say it is bad if you do the pilgrimage backwards or something
