@@luckydominguez2654 All we will be hearing from Hetfield if he tries to sing and play Megadeth songs at the same time is the sound of him shitting his pants.
lucky dominguez nobody betrays of doing better than Dave Mustaine. I think it's more about the emotion. Where James is just a good singer country or metal. Two completely different styles of music.
I love Nick l, but Gar's drumming on this is superior. Nick obviously is playing faster and has that live energy. But, he misses a lot of intricacies and subtlety Gar does. Nick's is more thrash, Gar's is more progressive. I love both, I prefer the original. That being said, Nick is untouchable on the songs he recorded.
The tapped harmonics are cool. I actually think this sounds better than on the album. That lineup gave the song a different energy. Thrash metal at its finest
I have to say that I love the studio version of this, but I can't help noticing that it's almost a speed metal song. This live version, though, is bonecrushing. Nick's drumming made this song (and many others too) an actual, super-powerful thrash anthem. Don't wanna start arguing about Nick being a better drummer than Gar or vice-versa, their approach to the instrument is so different that it cannot be compared. Jazzy on one side, pure thrash on the other.
I don't know how to explain it but in a era of listening to everything from King Diamond to Metallica, this album was very fresh. It has soul and rhythm. It was very similar to the first time I heard the live version of Phantom of the Opera on Live After Death. It isn't just thrash metal, in my mind it was a complete game changer, enlightening.
Kory Graphic My guitar only has 22 frets, but I can still do it tapping the same way. The frets don't matter, I just tap it where the 24th fret "would be".
@@ktw70 I'll agree that I like Gar far more due to his jazz style, but sometimes Nick fits in just right. Nick's style is more straightforward but hits hard, so it really depends on the song.
11DNA11 he did for a rust in piece reunion tour but Nick claimed he could no longer keep up with the Megadeth drums due to heart conditions and stress of touring involving sleeping pills. Nick was a star that burned out way to quick. I honestly prefer the drums of gar anyways. the first 3 Megadeth albums were the best Megadeth put out
@@arkhamlovecraft5592 There was no Rust in Peace ruinion tour with Nick, Shawn Drover played on that tour because he was in the band for when it was the 20th anniversary of RIP. Nick almost rejoined twice: in 2004 and 2014. In 2004 he was hired then fired right away for treating the bandmates like sh*t, then he in 2014 he balked at the contract offer and Dave decided to go with Chris Adler instead as a session/temporary guy. Nick died shortly after.
best megadeth song period, every live performance ive watched have been fantastic (this one being no exception) also it may sound cheesy but i find funny how you mostly just see mustaines hair moving the whole time
This is magnificent!! I wish Mustaine still sang like this. He sounds like a maniacal, wailing banshee! I love it. The low growl he does today dampens the energy in the newer songs.
One of THE best Thrash albums of all-time. Man! It seems like just yesterday I saw them @ Clash of The Titans with Slayer & Anthrax in 91' in OC. Sorry you younger guys missed out on all the great Thrash bands of the 80's & early 90's while they were in their prime. I'm 42 & it's still All about the Metal.
in my opinion the best performance of the conjuring ever performed live by megadeth dave mustaines vocals rarely sound so evil , the guitars sound insane and nick menzas drum performance is unbelievable
@sweetrobertos fuck yea man my dad's into NWOBHM instead of thrash but he still takes me to all of the concerts. The world needs more older men like you and him.
Thanks, Metallica... for Megadeth.
That riff in the middle of the song is maybe the best thrash riff of all time. Freaking killer!
at 2:50
probably my favorite riff ever
I like Hook on Mouth's riff better
That riff may rise the undead
Hard to beat Good Mourning Black Friday's main riff
there are those who sing (Hetfield), those who tapping (Hammett), and there are those that do both at the same time (Mustaine)
\m/ MegaDave \m/
Dave don´t really sing XD he just frnts and squeels
@@luckydominguez2654 All we will be hearing from Hetfield if he tries to sing and play Megadeth songs at the same time is the sound of him shitting his pants.
Christ RattleHead Hammett doesn’t even tap he just does the same blues pentatonic scale every song he’s so unoriginal. Nothing will beat Mustaine 🤘
VoidFever Kirk Hammett the masturbating house plant LOL

Whoa. He taps, sings, AND plays the chords for the intro? Pretty impressive multitasking.
Ohhhh, My God this is the best conjuring on youtube!
Cee Cee indeed

The 1988 live version from Essex is pretty close !

Dave literally conjures a spirit singing this live

tapping the intro with singing, the riffs and the solo's... Goddam it Dave..!!!!

this song has soooo many epic riffs in it.....

best live version
no,this one is way better

I admire nick's drumming, its so powerfull

One of the best songs to train hard. 30 years later and forever strong riffs.

I didn't know the into was played with tapping
I only think thats how it is live on the recording its not tapping i believe
You need a guitar with 24 frets to tap it, but u can also play these notes normally.
Bahadır Aksoy hes not tapping hes causing harmonics to happen by just barely touching the string
Kory Graphic My guitar only has 22 frets, but I can still do it tapping the same way. The frets don't matter, I just tap it where the 24th fret "would be".

Whoashit, Nick really gives this song a new, more awesome feel!
That's because this audio is really good. Gar's interpretation of this is definitive.

They're going to bring it back on to their setlists soon! At least that's what Dave alluded to in a recent interview.
