That little “shot glass” was called a pony glass in the 60’s and was used to sip liqueur for a sweet after dinner. I remember crashing my parents parties at their home bar when I was little and they would give me ginger ale in a pony glass. I would feel like I was soooooo grown up! Thanks for the memory!
What.............. That BAR is THE center for entertainment. Gorgeously designed and the most beautiful formula for a well constructed room for Entertainment.
Until today the bathroom was my favorite part of the house. Never took a bar into consideration but this makes me want one. So luxe and functional. Glad you stuck with your vision. Great design as always. Sorry I can’t choose a favorite piece everything is so nice.
Hi Nina, my favorite part of your bar is the Murano vases, so Gorgeous! I love collecting crystal wine and champagne flutes and vases! I grew up with some of the glasses in your bar, everyone had those smoky colored gold glasses. My older relatives still have them in their china cabinets. I think I had some in my first apartment back in the 1970's. Nina you've created a beautifully well stocked bar! Take good care.,🥀🌷🥀
There's a great little shop in Chelsea on 18th Street in NY called Authentiques Past and Present, selling antique glass sets and barware, kitsch entertaining and holiday items, plus the most original antique puffed tin and glass Christmas ornaments. The place is filled to the brim with one of a kind vintage glass. It is quite an experience, feels like entering a jewelry box. I personally love 1930s-40s cigarette 'boxes' especially the heavy fluted glass ones, they were popular in silver as well, so useful for keeping small objects, with a deco flair. The metal ones sometimes came with Ronson table lighters or wand lighters around WWII-era. I don't smoke but I love these things, they add a touch of Jean Harlow. I've had great luck finding midcentury glass, not Murano but let's call it 1950s art glass; just know the style to look for, and you don't have to have a lot of money to collect unique things that bring you joy. Bowls and vases from the 50s-60s in abstract colorful style, thick and swirling in odd shapes, can be found at antique malls, garage sales, flea markets. Turn them over and check the bottom to see how they were made; they will often be mass produced but always check for numbered or initialed/stamped pieces (you may have extraordinary good luck! If you do and the seller is unaware what they have, keep a poker face, calmly pay for it, and leave, hah ).
Nina, what a great idea! Having a bar area, seems like a must for entertainers. I'm curious where is your bar placed in your home and how it ties in with other areas (like kitchen, dining, living room) and how you designed the flow of your home. If you ever have a video about home layouts I'll be first in line to see it ;)
Tina Zivkovic Hi Tina. Thank you for your kind words. My Bar is placed in between my kitchen and family room. Your question is very a very good one as placement is key. I will have a full tour of the house soon so please make sure and keep an eye out! 😘
I agree bars are great I always recommend them! I bought a big bronze 100 plus year old antique cash register to put in my bar, hoping to add a victoria Arduino venus bar espresso machine soon as well! I think it may be a virgo thing...virgo here too!
Thrill for the hunt!! Definitely my thing too! Also love the way you combine materials/textures/colors...it would be really helpful to see future videos with this type of content.
How chic snd classic! I loooove those little shot glasses you have found. But most of all, you made me want to throw a party or attend your next one! Fabulous! 😊
What can i say i love everything about ur bar the sink ,lip bucket, the shot glass😍😍..kindly do a video of how to arrange a barcart for a living room..thanks for sharing the video with us..❤️
We’re in the process of building our house & im glad I told my architect to include a bar & he designed just about the same as yours. Your Murano glass finds those are beautiful I love that I wish I can find things like that in a bargain I own a Murano set of wine glass I bought it at a glass hand blown manufacturer in Italy & it’s expensive. For now, you just give me an idea on what to put in my bar . Thank you. 😍
I love this approach to the home bar. Yes, have your glassware visible with nice cupboard doors. But please keep your beverages stored. We are not competing with the nearest public house trying to sell the most liquor.
Those bar stools! holy cowboys girlfriend! Great find! I was an estate sale rep. For five years and OMG! I always tell my people to go to those sales if you want to find some really cool things for your home 👍
Loving this video! Those bar stools are FABULOUS!!!...I would have bought them also! Love your Estate Sale collections :) The sink, faucet and everything looks wonderful!!! But when you came on with that CUTE LITTLE Glass and Drink!!! OMG!!! I stopped the video, went to kitchen, poured myself a fake Martini (Grapefruit wine with Grey Goose) and came back to click play! LOL! I have a love of glasses (I have to stop myself from buying sometimes cause I have NO ROOM for any more)...but that cocktail you have looks sooo tasty in that cute little glass. Ok...now I can press play...and join you with a drink. LOL!...Please commence. :)
What a fabulous bar. Great vision Nina. Would you mind sharing how and where you were able to find the bar stools please? Is there a site which posts these type sales?
Love, love, love all your shows! I watch them over and over again, you have such great style! I have a question about your bar, it looks really thick, what exactly is the thickness? 4”/ 5”? I’m going to remodel my bar, would love to have it similar to yours. Thanks in advance!
I think we need to go shopping together! I enjoy so many of your videos that I even informed my stone person about you! I sent her one of your kitchen video and she too loved it! BTW, I too collect somewhat the murano glass! Please continue the awesome videos Nina!
My home came with a bar that has glass shelves, but I cant really put anything in them that can break since I'm scared theyll fall, specially with earthquakes. I like your idea of cabinets.
Thank you for replying however the gold banding is intact but looks dark, all the brightness gone. They are old Italian glasses left in a cupboard for decades. I am reluctant to experiment in case I ruin them altogether,
I Loved this bar so much, so many great ideas. Muslim here also and these bars are a staple in houses just substitute alcohol with* coffee, tea, and other non alcoholic drinks! Nina’s ideas about the beverage fridge, soda maker, glasses etc. all apply to non alcoholic drinks! It was really helpful, thanks.
hello i have a home bar and dont need to talk shite about it , it has 60,000 grands worth of product people dont come over to mouth off like you do here its a fecking home bar not a glamour most drink and want to learn about cocktails, wiskeys and so on this is crap and i run 5 level (thats five bottles deep) shelves , really how this turned up in my feed ,,,i really need to feck face book
Nah not a fan of bars in houses either! I mean it’s totally personal preference but I’d rather have space for something else. I don’t like to look like I’m an alcoholic or something lol

Those BAR stools are amazing. LOVE your interior designing and architecture. GREAT tour.
Kudos to you for saying the word vase correctly!
A home bar corner is a must-have during these Covid-19 times with little or no public places to gather in the evenings.
LOL I could not agree more!

Hi Liz, The bar stools were a vintage find from a Las Vegas old school hotel bar!!
I should also let you know that I have seen them on First Dibs from time to time.

Beautiful bar!!! Was wondering where you found those unique wine glasses from?
Thank you! They were vintage finds. xx
Nina I am curious about how you hold your parties and arrange the china you have? Do you always have, sit down parties?
good morning Nina
Beautiful bar. Dennis Hopper is buried in a cemetery in my community 5 minutes from my house.
Hey Nina, would you mind sharing where you sourced the Jane Fonda black and white photograph from?
Hi it was an original gifted to me by Marin Hopper whose father actually took the photo. It’s truly a treasure ❤️❤️

Those bar stools...💕
Do you know how to bring back the gold lustre from gold rim glasses? I have some glasses that the gold looks discoloured & dark.
Dana sadly once they have been worn off there is not much you can do 😢. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for replying however the gold banding is intact but looks dark, all the brightness gone. They are old Italian glasses left in a cupboard for decades.
I am reluctant to experiment in case I ruin them altogether,
I can’t name one thing ... everything in this small space is awesome. Can I use this counter and chair look for my breakfast counter?
Absolutely! It would look great as a breakfast bar.
