We are actually located 2000kms off the coast of Australia not 100km! The capital of NZ is WELLINGTON (the most southern city in the world) and not Auckland. Sorry, just an add on to my former rant.

Please Jimmy, do your research better, you were wrong on some counts! Maori is is a widely spoken language here, children are brought up with it and are taught it in school from 5 years old. And the high percentage of our Iwi live in the North Island because more of the population live there. We even have TV and radio channels only spoken in Maori. There is no way in a fit you could see the country in 1 day and get to see everything in God's own! It would take you min of 10 days even then you wouldn't experience any of the fantastic culture that we have to offer. Perhaps just driving only!!! Finally you cannot compare our beautiful mountain ranges to Yellowstone in the US?? Sorry I'm having a vent here but NZ is my home and I get annoyed when so many people see us as a little out of the way place down the bottom of the world and we are not significant, mate we are very much so!! Finally, our National rugby team is the All Blacks you were right there!
