    3:08 actually, for me it's the exact opposite: Small bits tend to create bulgy uneven lumps, while larger clumps fill out the piece much more evenly. I learned this back when I used to make handmade (i.e. completely hand-stitched) teddy bears, and it's even more true when it comes to amigurumi. I had heard "use small bits to stuff" when I started making amigurumi, so I tried it -- and the results were a blobby mess. I pulled out all the tiny bits of stuffing, started over with larger clumps, and my amigurumi's looked much better.

      Maybe it has something to do with whether you yarn over or under your stitches? Yarn under creates stiffer result

    I’m doing my very first amigurumi and it’s a zombie (looks like a one-eyed ghost to me) for my grandson for Halloween! Thanks for a very informative tutorial! Now I know what not to do! 💗🧶

    my circles are always lopsided when I stuff them
    It’s annoying because I work hard to make the stitches neat and clean
    Idk exactly what is wrong, and no one else seems to be having this problem so I’m really desperate

    Hii!!
    I use 3mm hook for 4ply cotton yarn?? Should i size down the hook?

      Hi! I would say that's probably a good size! If you can still see stuffing, size down another 0.5mm :)

      Also how to find if its over stuffed.. if it's tightly stuffed I like how stiff the toy becomes.. but don't like the gaps it makes..

    • @sherinchristina
      @sherinchristina 8 місяців тому

      Should the toy be stiffer or a little squishy?

    • @littleworldofwhimsy
      @littleworldofwhimsy  8 місяців тому

      @@sherinchristina hi Christina, the toy should be stiffer (polyfill naturally compresses over time so it'll become squishier later). If you can still see holes, that's because your stitches are too loose. Trying sizing down a hook size or just pulling the stitches tighter to eliminate the gaps!
