Honestly, if Infinite returns (somehow), I hope they actually play into his character in Forces, but consciously this time. Make him an insecure little bitch baby with a massive ego and much more power than he deserves (sorta like Tighten from Megamind). Better yet, make him into Shadow's Shadow. A punk anti-hero who has emotions and an actually tragic backstory vs a self-proclaimed badass with a backstory that only he thinks is justification for his actions.
They literally killed the best part of Forces, all Infinite wanted to do was kill everybody and I can’t say I blame him for it given how lackluster the mainline stories have been… hopefully this is an end to a era, and we get quality writing again. Hell I settled for a decently simple story.
I think my biggest gripe with Forces was how the character of Infinite was treated - especially when seeing what Sonic Forces Overclocked did with him. I would love to see what Ian Flynn would’ve done with him.
I think one part of Infinite that was handled pretty well is his relationship with Eggman, even though we don't see much of it. I think it's one of the main reasons why their plan has failed. They didn't get along and didn't listen to each other. If they did, Infinite would know that Sonic shouldn't be underestimated and would have directly eliminated him in the Mystic Ruins. But since these two don't get along, this constant misunderstanding between them created a lot of flaws in their plan and ultimately caused their defeat.
@@mendiefamily1367 It's explained how Eggman tortured him for months. Of course because the writing in this game is bad, he's just fine and is still cracking bad jokes. Sonic having his spirit and attitude crushed could have been really cool. Well it would be awful, but it would be a cool concept.
@@Oceane1803you know what would have been a better idea? During Sonic’s beating, he’s beaten to the ground and instead of being captured, he uses everything he’s got to run away. This would justify infinite letting him go, as we know infinite loves to see people run from him. And instead of being in captivity, sonic is in a comatose state after the fight with infinite, and is being kept back at the resistance base. The resistance would legitimately not know if sonic is alive or not, or even if he will wake up on the off chance he really IS alive. And during this coma, sonic would have dreams about how he lost the fight and had to run away. Not just from the fight, but from those he had to protect. By the time sonic wakes up, he would be a changed person (and not for the better). This would force sonic to be absent for the first few levels. Now of course this would make the oc the only playable character for the beginning portion of the game (classic sonic doesn’t deserve to be in this game), so what if the first levels involving sonic are set in those coma dreams where he’s powerless to do anything to help his friends?

In the Sonic compendium that was released it apparently reveals that Infinite was consumed by the Phantom Ruby at the end of the game...I really don't like that, makes him such a wasted character.
Just like Infinite was leaving all the time. Sonic mocks and then beats Infinite up, then gets shot and lies defeated - Infinite just leaves for no reason. @YousefSonic
I get that, but they should’ve given him a more subtle name.
@SONIC BATTLE PLAYER!
I have the same opinion for that thing, and the Darkness from Skylanders Superchargers. The name is too obvious and one sided.
take a sub
thanks man
Infinite is so weak
Weak The Jackal.
@YousefSonic Yeah if Infinite was more of the stronger villains he would need to push sonic to the point were he uses the chaos emeralds and turns super since sonic 06 they've always been seen kept the chaos emeralds so infinite was not weak then sonic would have used his super form rather then an optional DLC were infinite gets beat up as forcing sonic to go super is much better then getting beaten by sonic and the Avatar
@@BlackPanther-fn7kzInfinite ruby is stronger than the emeralds 😂. He was defeated after he was weaker for creating the sun and with the help from 3 characters.
Overall the writting just sucks.
