I bought my Metabo 2 speed drill at the age of 15. Now i am 63 and still using it. Greetings from Belgium.
I have a 1970 grinder, has the wood handle. Had marano repair dealer put new brushes in it a few years ago an got a letter with it when I picked it up, said who ever owns this don't get rid of. Pretty cool I thought
This should have said matabo
I have to say I’m very impressed with that kid at his age to know what he knows and the excitement towards it.
Plus the way he carrie’s himself and articulates. He’s going places!
Acme has the best customer service of any tool store. A few months ago I bought a brand new saw stop table saw and I like 100 miles away from the Duluth store. They delivered it for free and they accidentally left a manual behind they brought it the next day no questions asked and apologized. My favorite part about acme is me and my grandfather use alot of special wood tools some over 50 years old and their parts guys will not stop looking until they find the right part or one that'll work it's awesome what they'll do for their customers.
Sam, beautiful description of actually happens behind the scenes of this great shop.
Best way to describe the store is "all tools, no bullshit" absolutely love this store!
I’m a plumber. I’ve been using one of those nail eater bits for a couple months now. Still sharp and I go through nails screws everything with it.
Milwaukee's is a savage insane build my whole home with them and Irwin both of are good Mill will go through a few move
Same. I find them to be extremely slow though
“They didn’t pay for it” exactly why I work alone! I spend atleast 2000$ a year buying new equipment so I can upgrade my landscaping/ lawn care business so I have reliable equipment. And I’ll be damned if Imma pay sombody money that I normally pocket my self just too ruin my equipment.💯‼️
Looks like those bits are more of a nail push asider than nail eater.
Nail taster
You saw that too? I think Bosch failed this review
@@oufofmemory Why call it a nail "eater" then?
@@oufofmemory It was more directed at the company making it more than anything.
oufofmemory and if you do hit a nail with the bit, you don’t put pex or other piping or wiring through that hole.
Ken knows his stuff!
This takes the saying “like a kid in a candy store” to a whole new LEVEL!
You bet Don, thanks for watching !
'lol the bosch clown "no pressure" almost falls forward when it cuts through
That demo was more of a magic trick. The bit was dickered after it DIDN'T eat that nail.
Haha I thought the exact same thing. If you're going to put tons of pressure on the tool to make it look like it goes through like butter at least ease off towards the end so that you're not looking like you did in your demonstration Mr Bosch man.
Greenlee has the best nail eater bits
You should do videos whereby you pester the hell out of tool stores
Brandon Knight u
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO YOU HAVE EVER DONE! You have done MANY excellent videos but this is the best one yet!
Wow, thank you, I really appreciate that!
Viral video, maybe
I agree. The video was excellent.
Wow, i got the chills. That place would put a smile on my face every time I went in there.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Great store in Plymouth. I purchased the Milwaukee battery operated air pump and it's great. Excellent product. Thanks Stan for showcasing the store.
You're welcome Don!
Metabo is great tool, one of the best in europe, i have few metabo tools and they never brake i still have my grandfathers drill, that thing must be 40 years old and it still works no problem , great grat tools.
Metabo angle grinders are awesome!!! My go to long lasting, tough, ergonomic.
Ken is a good Acme Tool's representative
I love shilling because you know the products they are selling is good. If they weren't good they couldn't afford to pay shills even one doll hair.
Legit Ken was the best you could ask for in a representative! He was knowledgeable, polite, straight forward and honest! This guy needs to be the DM!
I loved this video. Is always nice to learn about new tools and see them work from the factory reps.
I ordered my Dewalt tool storage boxes from AMCE tools. I live no where near one of there stores and had to return one of the boxes for a defect. They sent me the new one before I had to return the other one. GREAT customer service.
I wish my wallet was thicker and I could buy many more tools from them.
Thank you Charles , happy to hear that you like the video!!
yes please more videos like this. I hope that I can go to one of there stores soon.
Stay tuned Jimmy!
Metabo makes great tools. We used them in the locomotive rebuild shop all the time with every few issues.
I'm a Union Steamfitter and Metabo grinders are the best in the business. Definitely recommended for everyday use. But if you only use it once in awhile and dont you it to extremes I wouldn't get one.
The best.. I've burned up all of them but the Metabo not even comparible they are the best.. only thing my Metabo ever did I had to replace the cord with a Dewalt cord and dewalt cords ain't the greatest (all I had handy off a burnt up dewalt).. But Metabo IS THE BEST PERIOD.... but now Hitachi has bought Metabo and it sucks the table saw is a prime example
WOW1 Isn't that where Wyle E Coyote buys all his stuff?
The one item that I didn't see was the box of assorted sizes of 'ACME INSTANT HOLES" . lol .
Do they have anvils and explosives?
Watch out road runner acme just got better stuff
Awesome Thank you for showing me this
TOOL WORLD !!!!!!
Had they had such shops in norway i would be poor and i would not need a house cause would be living on popcorn while looking at tools every day :)
That iron worker is awesome 👌
Right 😀
19:15 Oh man, when the Bosch guy demo'ed the nut spinner that jammed and it turned out he'd just used the wrong size socket, lol
I immediately noticed that, wrong size socket.
Them bosch guys are something special eh
@@tleonard410 just as special as the guys who actually use bosch tools.
Tyler Leonard No just him
@@eliskjartansson2907 Bosch tools are great. Just like Makita, etc.
My credit card shutters everytime I pull into the parking lot. Bismarck, Fargo and Grand Forks locations are even larger. Great customer service with very knowledgeable staff.
The exact opposite of auto zone
Name brand version of harbor freight. Lol
Looks cool !
Amazing store
This is where you drop your hubby off and you know he will be busy for an hour or so. Pack him a lunch and he will be good for the day. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol!
Need one in the 805 slo
Yeah I was gonna say an hour or so! Hell I'd be days!! Too bad their not on the east coast!!
Coastal 805 only an hour? More like 2 hahah
Drop him off there, then go to the fabric/craft store. No time constraints, no husband rolling his eyes and saying "Are you ready to leave yet?". Win/win.
I’ve purchased from them online before. The store tour was awesome.
Thank you.
Thank you J R !
I absolutely love these types of vids. Thanks and keep up the good content!
- from BC, Canada
Thank you and thanks for being here Isaac!
This guy is so freaking smart! Acme Tools better do everything they can to never lose him. HUGELY valuable. I wish there was an Acme Tools in Chicago
Cool video. I had no idea what a great company this is. Now that I know, I won't hold back on purchasing online. I avoid buying from unknown online stores and this certainly cleared them from that prejudice. Cheers!
Thanks William!
Metabo = industrial and metal working industries . very good brand. The iron worker makes life easier in the metal fabrication and job shop world! cool video! love tools!
Cool! Thanks for sharing Wesley 😀
This is the most amazing tool store I've ever seen!!!! Wow I wish I had one of these near me.
It is Keith, appreciate you watching!
I'm a mechanical welder that builds stands for pipes all day and we all use metabo grinders and man do they shred, awesome build quality. Personally I use my dewalt grinder (sorry I forgot the model) mainly due the fact that it has a non-keyed pinon gear meaning if it fucks off on you it slips instead torquing your wrist it has great power and pretty good and straight forward build quality. Other than grinders I don't know much about Metabo sorry.
"they just do tools" as you walk by the yeti display. 🤣🤣🤣
It's a "tool" to keep you hydrated... lol
Yea and a portable coffee maker photobombs Stan
Hey they need to keep the works awake also, otherwise there wouldn’t be a need to sell tools in the first place!
I've used mine as a hammer before.
Ya, you have to be a "tool" to own one.
That Bosch demo was hilarious!!
As a fellow MN metro dude I can't imagine how you've just recently made it to acme for the first time.
Also metabo grinders A+
Wilton sledges awesome
And acmes service is pretty good.
I'll go out of my way to buy there because they carry full lines. And supporting them means that they're still there on the days that I need that one weird tool that'll save me time on a job.
Joe Ritter metabo grinders are weak I’ve bought about 40 of them and burned 20+ of them up in less than a week. I’m currently looking for something better.
I had a problem with a dewalt tool box not locking. I called acme and in two days had a new box. Great service. I buy many tools online from them, great store.
Man... I wish I Work here. Seeing all cool tools everyday 😀
I'm glad, and kind of sad, that I don't have this big of a tool store near me. I would have been broke. Holy moly.
I get it Andy, thanks for watching!
you are providing a service to the guy who needs a new tool to do the right job good on ya dude keep it up
I was thinking, meh just another tool store but that was a cool tool store!! Thanks for the mad vid!
You're welcome Sam, thanks for watching!
A toy shop for man.
I bought a metabo jigsaw back in the mid 80's and it still works as good as the day I can bought it.
Wow just wow. I'm so mad...
...that I don't have an Acme Tools store near me. Lol I've heard about them but never knew they were that awesome!
Lol, they are !
Those iron workers are awesome, we had one at my old high school which we used for cutting metal for welding, it cut through 1/4 inch steel like a hot knife through butter
Where are the chairs for the wifey to sit down and wait for you too shop.😀
That's why you say "Sure" when she asks you to go to Hobby Lobby, then mention that you need to run to the tool store afterwards. Turnabout is fair play :D
YES!!!! That would be hilarious!
@@ColonelK0rn1 the local Harbor Freight is right near Hobby Lobby. She longer asks me to go to Hobby Lobby anymore.
Hector Pujols they are next door at the spa
I don’t clothes shop with my wife and she won’t tool shop with me. Perfect marriage
Awesome store
For sure Elmer, thanks for watching!
At my welding shop we only use metabo grinders and have never had a problem with them.
David Bouchard my buddy has a metal fab shop, only use metabo and a few Bosch. Metabo for all the big stuff
Hitachi makes metabo
Stan, videos like this are golden for those of us who may not have such tool stores at our disposal. (Such as me in backwater rural Ohio. )So with you out there doing the legwork, we can make decisions based on your information, and buy the best tool. Yeah, that may end up being online, but it's a valuable bit of information before the purchase.
Done alot of business with acme tool co when I get started on my own great prices awesome service unbeatable
For sure Jonathan, thanks for watching!
Men thank you for all the good videos!!
Metabo awesome 👏! Little more expensive but well worth the 💰!
Hell yea man can't break their angle grinders...well worth the money I agree
They had the best price on a job site table saw online so I got one . Wasnnt aware that they had stores . Very happy with the saw and they sent it quick and the best price .
Good to hear!
Metabo makes the best cordless framing nail gun on the market today. Milwaukee just made one pretty comparable but you can't get it yet. I saw the demos. Thanks for the great video. Al , Remodeling Contractor in Maryland.
You're welcome Al, thanks for watching!
26yr Pipefitter Welder,; Metabo is the go to grinder on every job site. Durability, speed, safety guard, & simplistic lock up method…… hands down the best. They purchased Hitachi recently. Metabo-A Great Tool.
Acme is bomb. Just bought a Dewalt kit last week. I try to avoid going in there. It’s $500 every time!
Happiness has a price.
How do you control yourself to only $500?
When Stanley was walking into the store I swear I saw Wyle E. Coyote loading a road runner trap in his car!
"A little bacon never hurt anybody!" Good on ya mate, what about the pig?
Pigs are nature's garbage cans, not food.
😅
wish they had this store in Massachusetts. loving these new videos like this one and the builders show.
Glad you like the videos Jeremy, thank you!
Thx for the vid Stan, very interesting & wish had an Acme Tool Store in my town.....would be a kid in candy store. Do like Acme Tools, when I order new tool; they get it out to me in about 3 days, & I’m in Florida 👍🏻 (sometimes it does take 4, it that’s still quick). The other great thing, I’ve never had 1 issue from them of packages arriving damaged. They do a great job at shipping stuff out & making sure they are packed tight & great within shipping box (it’s frustrating when a store ships a “tool” in the retail packaging that they just slapped a shipping label on...REALLY! Do they not know how carriers transport this stuff, not exactly “gentle”😅), Also appreciate the customer support/service from Acme. If something is wrong when you get your order, they WANT you to be happy & will make it so that you are. Great company to work with, & wish started working w/ them sooner; b/c think would have saved myself some headaches over the years....
Thanks for the comments and for sharing your experience!
The Acme store is great and their online pricing and service is just as good like you mentioned. Thanks!
No problem, thanks for watching!
I found a new toy store thanks Stanley
The "demo" chainsaw I think is a terminator chain. Its $200 for the chain. It's used by firefighters to cut holes in roof. Streight thru shingles to vent and to save. That bosch rep is a pencil pusher. 🤣😂🤣😭
It seemed to have "blocks" for teeth, as a diamond blade chainsaw blade for concrete would have, particularly since it was positioned with the concrete saws. I don't doubt blades like you're thinking of exist, but they'd have close to normal teeth for cutting wood/sheathing, but in a manner to not be destroyed by shingles or metal roofing/flashing.
Also, look at it again 6:34, it has a water hookup like a normal concrete saw.
This stool is heaven
Metabo is a German heavy duty industry tool company, we have used their 6 inch and larger grinders in the steel mills for the last .20 years.Rugged, and high rpm is,tool less disc changing.
Some clever entrepreneur needs to build a steak house / sports bar right next door to that place, not waste the site with "World of Floors & Rugs"... sheesh.
Loved the video, maybe buy something next time? lol
Lol, maybe!
Yes! A good steak house would absolutely flourish there next to that, I go to the steakhouse every weekend that I can to kinda reward myself for going hard all week but it's hard to justify doing it every single week.. On the other hand, I do love steak and ribs!!!
horse1066 Oh I thought I saw Food and Drugs! LOL
Make it a coffee shop and all the gals can kill time while we dream, that rug store has to gooooooooooo.
Put a Hooters restaurant next door
Very nice as always
Thank you!!
Wilton Sledge hammers are the BEST! Like no joke....
They ought to be at 4 times the price of a regular one! Lol
Awesome, what a store and sounds like good price!
I hit up acme at least once a month, sometimes just to look!
Was on the R&D of the STIHL GS461 ROCK BOSS concrete chainsaw chain developing & prototype. Fell in love with this machine, unlike other machines on the R&D plant.. if you're artistic enough, learn this machine well and appreciate it enough -- you'll be a master and a virtuous with this machine.
Wow. What a store. Thanks stan. I needed this video today. Severe pick me up. Loved it!!!!!!!😁
Metabo is Hitachi. Pretty good tools from what limited exposure I have to them.
Have the hand held grinder used lightly in industrial environment ,broke down twice and was made in China not so German after all switch gear problems never dropped or abused, not impressed.
Metabo is not Hitachi. They are owned by the same parent company.
Metabo is a German company, very respected in Europe. Hitachi is a Japanese company.
Hitachi power tools are now called Metabo HPT in America and Hikoki in Europe. This has something to do with the rights to the Hitachi name.
Both very good brands but not the same.
Ken knew his stuff
Poor Dewalt and bosch guys. The Milwaukee lineup is crushing the competition with all the offerings
Milwaukee is on fire with all of the new lineups and specialty tools. It seems like every few days or at least weekly they are releasing an upgrade or specialty tool that I didn’t know I needed next! I thought the other brands were keeping up but that’s not the case. The only tool line could give them a run is Makita and I don’t think they’re interested a drug out turf war and so they keep to themselves and specialize in what they know best and every once in a while they kick out something new to the lineups. Stanley/Dewalt/B & D are trying to give big red some competition but their tool allergies keep slowing them down. I’m glad to see Milwaukee acting like the old business even if they are just a shell of what they were when they were Wisconsin based and building bulletproof hole hawgs & the original sawsall. I would be all over their new battery lineups now that they make 12 Ah lunchbox batteries with super chargers that recharge the largest batteries in just 1 hours time! Unreal!
Truth!
Tool paradise! I just want to spend hours in this place...and I would love my own personal Ken the tool guy rep!
Too bad the "Nail Eater" was dieting during the demo, though. 🤓👌
Metabo grinders are the best in my book
Im in the mowing and yard maintenance work but I really like to hear about new innovations in tools. Thanks Stan for another great video.
The nail eater is cool but it still deflected off the nail and moved the hole.
It's different when your not using it on a loose piece of wood, easy to sit on your ass taking the piss
Aren't these stores incredible?! I visited the Acme in Fargo ND. Wow! What a store. It was just a few days after I won a full Makita OPE set from a tool review I submitted to them. Bought the new Milwaukee rear handle saw while I was there, and the Makita model soon after. Could have spent a full week in there. Sadly had to get to work. But I'll make it a point to stop in their locations whenever I'm in the area. It's a must visit, bucket list kind of place for tool junkies like me. Two highly enthusiastic thumbs up!!
I agree Mike, thanks for the comments!
I've been using Metabo tools for years in metalworking industry industrial Construction they're almost the best you can get German engineering
They are with Hitachi now I'm worried about quality going down
That's all we used back in the day, but they started breaking on us all the time. When I stopped is when I bought a new hammer drill and the cord had a short in it right out of the box.
That's all we use at the metal shop weld/fab shop I work at and you can't break those angle grinders. They last 5x longer than the other brands I've had. Great products
One of these...one of those... Oh gotta have this....! This store is dangerous. LOL. Thanks for the video.
Haha right!! Thanks for watching man 👍
Very nice store that's like my dream come true kabooooooom
I love Acme equipment. Its the store I miss the most after we moved.
No tool store is worth the twin cities terrible traffic due to their hilarious undersized junk roads and even worse freeway transitions
@@pryme2013 luckly my store was in a smaller city I lived in. Have to agree with you on the twin cities traffic though.
Ken needs a raise 👍
The shop is OK we have the same concept here in Australia, There’s not a tool shop retailer out there that carries EVERYTHING, from EVERY BRAND. This one is the same.
I still need a one stop tool shop that will cater to EVERY TRADE in the business.
I'm kinda glad they dont have one of these in Tucson. I'd be broke.
Lol, thanks for watching Tony
Im lucky enough to live right down the street from the home of Acme tools
Awesome Jeff!
Metabo is formerly Hitachi tools which is top of the line bro
I have a store close to me like this, but they sell all building materials as well and are open 24/7.
Sounds cool!
You welcome to drop by, it’s just a small flight away, to a small country called Denmark.
Iron works are a very valuable tool for iron work. We had a Scotchman at the fab shop I worked at. You can punch round, square, oval, slots. 10 times faster than a drill. Not portable like a drill though. You can cut angle iron, round bar, square bar, flat bar, some plate, notch pipe and square tube, bend iron, make U-bolts, and square u-bolts.
In new Zealand metabo is the top range gear with better product support them milwaukie they replace rather then repair good brand
Thats because milwaukee actually makes a better tools with better parts that can be replaced. Metabo is ok but will never will be a Milwaukee or Dewalt
That sprayer is bad ass
What good are those bits if they are splitting the wood, now if that was a “real work piece” we would have to replace the wood!
The splitting wood had to do with the nails being driven along the cleavage grain of the wood. It was the nails that caused the splitting not the bit.
Loved this tour. Great video again.
Thanks Max, happy that you liked it!
That nail-eater looks as if it will go through copper water pipe and electrical conduit with no effort (or warning) at all.
I ran one of those concrete chainsaws they’re pretty sweet they will absolutely go through anything
No nails were harmed during the filming of this video. Smh lol
