Since there are 2 hair dressers in this comment section... I’d like to ask if it’s possible to dye my hair after 6 months of highlighting my hair to honey blonde from dark brown hair & I had complete hair damage & breakage? I’d like to dye my hair one solid color & I have been wanting to dye my hair a ginger color is it possible to do so will it damage my hair more? Is it possible to dye without bleaching it? Or should I just not do it at all? This happened at a salon as well. But I’m asking because now I regret not dying my hair to ginger & did highlights.. I never ever had this happen to me even when I bleached my whole hair. I was told by another hair stylist that I was left under heat too long or possibly the hair dresser shouldn’t have put me under heat but it was a complete mess.. I want to dye my hair but now I’m so scared.. I have been dealing with this hideous look because I should have the highlights but since there was breakage most of the highlights are as short as a bob if not shorter. I’m use to coloring my hair at least 2 times in a year but I have not been wanting anyone at all to touch my hair. Please I need advice...

I’ve had so many negative experiences with paying $$$ to hairdressers who promise to do what I ask and don’t deliver. Last experience at a renowned hairdresser: I went in with highlighted balayage blonde ends and natural level 6 roots, asked for an even brown shade as close to my level 6 as possible, so I could just stop coloring my hair once and for all. I left with deep dark brown almost black hair! When I told her this is not what I wanted she recommended using clarifying shampoo 😑 I did and it never got to what I asked, even months later. Everyone loved my dark hair though so I decided to dye it dark brown for a while (had to with my root regrowth), then I went black. Fast forward to now and I want to try myself at getting as close to my natural brown shade as possible at home. I just tried the no bleach shampoo cap method (4 parts baking soda, 3 parts 20 vol developer, 2 parts shampoo) and applied on my black hair, left roots alone, and waited 30 minutes. It lightened it gently to a dark brown! I’m so happy it worked. I’m gonna give it one more round in a few weeks and hopefully that will bring me closer to a medium brown. I know the saying “leave it to the professionals” is normally sound advice. But in some cases, like mine, I feel like I could’ve done a better job myself and have many times after getting botched results from professionals. With that being said, you did an amazing job! The first thing he did was chopped my hair off when I asked him not to. I could've tolerated a 6 inch chop at most cause my hair was to my lower back. He chopped all my hair to my collar bone. Then he threw bleach onto my black tips and put foil on them. Then he said to process them faster he used a flat iron to give it heat. Then he threw orange brown on my hair and made me a burnt carpet ramen ginger color. Then he had the audacity to ask me to pay him. I cried so hard. I cried for months before I caved and I ended up putting black over everything again because my hair was so fried I had to do something to hide it. It was all for nothing. I still hate him for it. I just did an ombre on my hair with 40 developer but days before this I used color oops to get any unwanted dye out of my hair. So far I’m loving my results.
You did such a beautiful job. I currently dye my own roots (4N brown) every three weeks due to gray hair. I want to go lighter, but would like to know what would be best for color maintenance with lighter hair. Highlights? Balayage? Thank you.
If you want to go lighter I would start by doing your roots with 5N and slowly lightening the formula over the next year up to the desired base colour. Then I would add highlights for dimension. That way the old 4N can grow out and you can have less pigment to fight through when you get foils done
How do you mix the color remover with the 20 volume? Do you just add it to the two part package of the color remover? I thought you couldn't mix them! These are great results and I'm trying to go from black (box dye) to redhead!
So brilliant, wonderful. 😍 Why did you put an 8 19 over orange hair and how can it work? Orange is level 7 or 6 to use toner for, that's what I was taught. And why violet against orange?
This makes me think of an experience I had in a salon when my regular hairdresser was on maternity leave. I asked for a medium brown and the replacement stylist dyed my hair nearly BLACK!!!! It was way, way too dark. So I had to go to another salon for a color correction. First salon told me they could not lift the black in one session, that I would need several courses of highlighting over a year to lift the color. The second salon told me they could but it would be like a 5-6-hour service and I would "need to use a lot of deep conditioner." I had no idea they would have to lift me to a blonde color in order to tone me back to brown. Well, I left with lighter hair but my hair was FRIED. OMG, my formerly beautiful hair!!!! What did they (the first salon) do to me?! I spent the next three years trying to get my hair into decent condition because it was basically a frizzy mess from the color correction. And my hair was long too. 😭Any idea how the first salon dyed my brown hair black by accident??? What is the best way to handle this type of situation?

Omg the toner did wonders! It looked like she was just yellow. Can't believe that one toner worked for all of it.
Amazing work! 👏
Great video, amazing work!!
Amazing 🤩 job as always great artist love this transformation in the first sitting .. 🙌💖
That’s amazing fantastic job 🥰
I love love love the end result it’s so natural 🥰wish you was in the Netherlands
This looks SO gorgeous !!!
This is BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks for the videos . I learned a lot. As we see practically we absorb more. Great work. Having questions
Where do I ask you? Please let me know
You did such a beautiful job.
Amazing! Looks flawless!
Thank you so much
The banding is very hard to see in this ( so bloody well done)
How do you mix the color remover with the 20 volume? Do you just add it to the two part package of the color remover? I thought you couldn't mix them! These are great results and I'm trying to go from black (box dye) to redhead!
Wow absolutely stunning. I'm thinking about doing this as I have black box dye in my hair. How much would this service cost on average?
You are amazing! So skillful and great tips.
Great job
This came out so perfect
Wonderful ❤ next how are you going to apply ? you aren't going to use color remover ? Just the bleaching toning steps ?
You did an amazing job!
Omg that is beautiful. Just what I want!
So brilliant, wonderful. 😍 Why did you put an 8 19 over orange hair and how can it work? Orange is level 7 or 6 to use toner for, that's what I was taught. And why violet against orange?
Great result!
Such a great transformation ONE day!
Ya! She spent 11 months growing it but the black all came out in one day!
The banding isn’t super obvious though! Awesome job
You did fantastic job
Regardless of the banding this was amazing
Thank you!!!
I am amazed at your work and I’m just wondering if you’re ever in the Calgary area
Thank you! I’m in BC, I don’t often go to Alberta!
Amazing work ❤️
Thank you!!
Her hair was a shoe polish disaster and you did an excellent job fixing it... the color was beautiful.
Thank you so much! It’s not easy working like that in a time limit but we’re happy with the result of our first session
Looks beautiful 🥰
