Oh that was lovely, Darrell. Very relaxing to watch and listen to. What a beautiful little duck. I'm sure you're right about that one being a teal. The kingfisher was the icing on the cake of course. And I have now learned the sound of the water rail thanks to this video!
Thanks May. It is nearly four weeks now and I am almost back to normal. Need to build my fitness back up. I went for a walk with the camera on Friday and was knackered afterwards.
What a lovely way to spend a few hours and thanks for taking us along with you. I would agree with your ID of the Teal-they are much smaller in size compared to a Mallard. I did wonder about Garganey at first but the bird in your picture lacks a light eye stripe and the base of its lower bill is yellowish orange in colour so that would indicate Teal.

Glad you enjoyed it. It is good to have the Kingfisher back.
Hi Darrell It’s good to see you are feeling well . The Kingfisher photograph was a great shot well worth waiting to see. Thanks Jon and Sandra
Yes. It never gets old seeing it so close.
Glad you are recovering well, Darrell. Loved this video and the great shots too. Am deeply envious of your kingfisher hide!
I am lucky to have it and only 5 mins walk from home.
A wonderful way to recuperate. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Glad you're on the mend Darrell. Would love to see a Kingfisher in real life ❤

Nice to know I wasn't too far off the mark with my ID. I do enjoy being in the hide.
Glad you’re feeling better lovely situation sitting in the hide next to a pond with the kingfisher 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Looks like a female Teal to me Darrel, nice little hide you have there 😊
That was my suspicion. I am lucky to have the hide and only five mins from home.
Beautiful pictures and hope someday I also capture a kingfiisher. What settings you use for filming.
Set the frame rate to 60 fps and the focusing to full time. All exposure settings are on auto.
@@DarrellOakdenPhotography Thanks, setting in 4K?
Yes I would agree with your id of Teal 👍
Great vlog Darren are you impressed with the 180-600
I really like the lens I am getting sharp images with lots of detail from the opposite side of the pond.
