- Hello everyone! Welcome to another video of my Adjustment Of Status journey!
How my husband and I organized this Adjustment of Status packet, sent it to USCIS then I've got a conditional Green Card Within 3 months.
GREEN CARD TIMELINE:
AOS Filed on & mailed on October 20, 2021
Received package on October 22, 2021
Biometrics notice i797C received in the mail on October 29, 2021
Biometric scheduled on October 30, 2021
Case approved on January 21, 2021
Card is produced on January 27, 2021
Card is mailed and delivered by post office on January 29, 2021
NOTE : USCIS fees will be changed in April 2024.
Started April 2024 : The fees for I-131 & I-765 is not free anymore when you submit with Adjustment of Status application.

Since there's a fee for the I-765 and the I-131, do i need to include two G-1450 forms for each to my package, if payment method is credit card?

Is this really that easy to do? My fiance will arrive here in March on the k1 visa and we need to do a change of status after we're married. Most attorneys here in Florida are charging anywhere from $7,000 to 10,000 just to do a change of status. I really would like to follow your process and do that for us because this is so important to the both of us and the journey of our new lives together. I've been living in the USA about 3 years. And yes, I didn't need medical examiner when I arrived in the USA. I had a medical examiner in my country a month before I flew to the USA. That is form DS3025.

I’m on a k1 visa too and we applied all of these form about 2-3 weeks ago, but still didn’t receive any notice or anything and they still didn’t charged me. Is there anyone who knows how long it might take for them to Start processing the case? We applied in Chicago

The usually send the NVC letter through your email as a petitioner. Please double check in your email or it might went to your spam email just like my husband did before. The email went to spam.

I sent the copy of all documents such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, NVC letter, I-797 NOA, SSN, Medical Check Up, etc.

Thank you for the information. I have a question: Do we need to complete all of these forms just to change our status? Or, is it sufficient to fill out Form I-485 and wait for the process to unfold? I understand that once you receive your Green Card and Social Security number, Form I-765 becomes less relevant because you are then legally permitted to work in the United States. Also, if you do not plan to travel outside of the U.S. while waiting for your Green Card, why is Form I-131 necessary? Your input is greatly appreciated.
In my case I applied all of these form since that time was free. But actually it's just an options. I prefer to include two those forms (Travel and work permit) in case if I want to visit my family in out of USA or have a job soon or later as we never know how long will we get the Green Card.
And again, I'm not attorney or a lawyer, what I shared here base on my experience. Best of luck for your immigration process!

I'm not really sure but my personal opinion a copy of passport and driver license could be enough. but again, I'm not really sure. I suggest you to ask the attorney or lawyer.

.. i did a mistake on my k2 mother date of birth on Ds 160 ,Can I use the new date of birth on the i 485 or I should still retain the old date of birth on i 485 form

I have a question, the DS 3025 wich is the worksheet of medical, the immigrantiant officer took from me when I arrived in USA , so my question is I don’t have a copy of it? do I need to book another medical appointment in US now? or
If you remember when you have a K1 Visa interview, there's a copy of document that they return back to you. So I suggest you to please take a look on the documents that you have. I've got the copy of my medical check up they returned when I had a K1 Interview. Another document given was sealed, that's the document I gave to the Immigration Officer in an airport.

Hello, I131 you stated that the reason for the trip would be to visit family, and was it approved?
I applied this form together with my AOS packet and I got my Green Card approved within 3 months. So I got the notification that that they closed my I-131 application once I got my Green Card as I can use my Green Card for traveling.
What name should I use on thr AOS...Marriage name or My wife Maiden name...all her documents has her maiden name but it be a problem if I out her marriage name?
In my case, I used my marriage name by adding my husband's family name when I filled out the form. (even though at that time, all my documents have my maiden name while filling this form).

I submitted a Copy of Vaccination Documentation Worksheet, Form DS-3025 as this form was not expired yet. It's fine and I've got my Green Card within 3 months.
Good day, do you think it would be ok to include Tax Return and W2 transcript instead? That's what I did for my application back in the Philippines and I didn't have to get a 1099 anymore because of it too. Followed an agency guide and they said that NVC/USCIS prefers transcripts.
I've ever heard that Tax Return Transcript is good enough for the evidence. but I am not sure, hopefully it will be fine in your case. Best of luck!

Hi ..my k 1 visa packet was taken from me by immigration officer at Dulles airport but it contains my medical report but i later contacted the hospital where I took the medicals and they sent me a copy of the DS 3025 to me thru email ,much more I have had more vaccinations when I got here..Is it good to send it to USCIS
Yes, you will need that to attach with your I-485 Adjust of Status packet.

Hi, don't we need the form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination? I noticed that from all the videos I've watched none included this form. However, online articles kept mentioning it. I'm just a little confused. I'd really appreciate it if you can clarify this. My wife is here in the US on her K1 visa and we got married here just recently.
In my case, I married to my U.S husband base on K1 Visa, I didn't need form I-693 with my Adjustment Of Status Packet. The medical check up that I attached is a copy of Vaccination Documentation Worksheet, Form DS-3025. This is the report of medical check up before my K1 Visa interview. The officer of the US Embassy (in my country) gave me the copy during my K1 Visa interview. So at that time, there are 2 document I've got. One document was given during K1Visa Interview and the second one was sealed, that was the one I gave to the Immigration Officer at the Airport when I enter the USA. So if your wife had the medical check up recommended by US Embassy in her country before her K1 Visa interview, she probably has one. Congratulations for you both and wish good luck for your immigration process.

As I know if you want to submit AOS packet, which is include with form I-131, you need to pay.
Before I include form I-131 added to my application, that was free. Since April 2024 is no longer free.

Yes you should never add all fees, each form should have its own money order/check/etc
Hello po, I just watched your video and then the same time I also read the I-485 instructions online in the USCIS website but as far as reading the instructions there it did not say to put some photos or wedding photos. Is that okay NOT to include some wedding photos? Is that necessary? Looking forward for your answer. Thank you
In my case, I attached my weddings photos with my I-485 application, that would be a good evidence to show that the marriage is real. So for my personal opinion, that is necessary. Wishing you good luck for your immigration process!

Every applicants have different case, in my case I don't apply for Form I-130. I'm not an attorney, I share base on my experience. I suggest you to get an experience immigration attorney/lawyer for your case or maybe other channels have feedback for your case. Best of luck!

It's an options. I send all those form at that time because the other two forms were free. but, since April 2024 the fee rules are changing.

Yes, since April 2024 is no longer free. So you can check on the USCIS website for the filling fee.
