Eggman sure dialed up the fear factor with his virus. This was creepier than the nanite encounter in the Archie comics.
It's also the inverse of the Mecha Sally Arc.
Hmm, kind of makes you wonder how this would have impacted the Freedom Fighters and Archie-Verse as a whole. This would have been Sally's worst nightmare.
Remember the ADAM from the Archie comics? Nearly had a character death because of that.
@@hunterkrovac UH, we had 2. Mecha was commanded to self-destruct and Tommy took an armada salvo to his everything.
@@mechasaurus Bunnie was nearly killed by A.D.A.M. who tried to absorb her metallic parts with his Nanobots.
@@mechasaurus
Yeah they wiped that boi tommy off the map☠
Even super sonic got blown back
Why is that radio sequence so horrifying? That's seriously much scarier than any Sonic creepypasta...or creepypastas in general. Nice work!
Because the characters are actually likeable instead of just an excuse to write about _hyper-realistic eyes_ and _blood._
@@syweb2 That and the audio sounded like something out of Alien or Resident Evil. Characters through radios that are scared out of their mind, and the low quality sound...very chilling for Sonic the Freaking Hedgehog!
Yeah, you don't have to show blood and be edgy to demonstrate fear and terror, just look at Metroid Dread.
creepypastas are like meh
like :
ooohoohohoho
blood! and Dark eyes and Red Pupils
ohoohohohooo scary!
Two words, my friend. *Godzilla NES.* One of the best creepypasta's I've ever read. Give it a shot.
I’m actually very shocked by how dark this is…no wonder it’s called “darkest hour”
This was very interesting to see the view point of other mobians during the metal virus.
I loved the metal virus saga, and still do!
I really like the voice acting, it’s so on point and the voices I think fit the characters perfectly!
The music- the editing-
EVERYTHING!
This channel will forever be one of my favorites.
The fact that Nite has Crush 40 album in his studio shows how much the IDW does their research on the series before creating the comics
I really love the character design in these comics. Every original character manages to look distinct and memorable while still blending perfectly with the OG cast. Such masterfully crafted artwork.
I know!!! The Archie comics didn’t even make an effort for their characters to blend in: like Sleuth Dawg or Mammoth Mogul who just looked out of place to me. In this series all the original characters made for this universe all feel like an authentic part of Sonics world
The va's who did the callers really helped show the desperation of the Metal Virus. Awesome work to the people who did the voice works!
This would make a good horror game. A game where you at the podcast try to give the right advice to survivors in a zombie apocalypse.
Killer Frequency is kinda like that but you're dealing with a serial killer situation instead
I remember how much this issue had me on the edge of my seat at 0:56 to 2:04. But with this dubbing? Holy crap it's just even more terrifying now. Great work guys
Damn I love that this is going on during the metal virus. It shows us perspectives that we didn’t get to see in the main comics and this was out right chilling. Hearing people scared, trying to get to safety but the metal virus has already spread too much that it’s impossible to get out and Sonic is dealing with zombies at a other town so he cannot save them like he always does. I love the metal virus sega it has such good writing and character
This feels like something you'd read about online. like "How one radio station saved millions of lives" There's something very real and down to earth about it
Oh my gosh, I’ve never had so many chills before the end of the year
I'm telling ya these Dubs are fantastic :)
@@zeroddor2665 Agreed, Also Hi Zero XD
This gave me chills! The voice acting is on point, amazing work! The voice acting really does amaze me each time you guys upload and the voice acting here makes the situation seem more terrifying. It shows a different light when it comes to Sonic, a game mostly made for small children. You guys inspire me!
the callers sounded way too realistic
You say it like it’s a bad thing.
@@infinityheart_tm9270not a bad thing, just scary, which is good 👍🤧
That was some straight horror movie scenario. Your chilling doing your usual routine then you start hearing what’s going on in town in the middle of the woods. Do you leave your radio house or stay inside because your far away from it?
This part of the comic honestly hit very different.. probably cause they were oblivious of the outside world and got a really rude awaking there. And the two characters there was just amazing one wanted to leave but was brought back cause he didn’t wanted to leave the only person he has right now as company that get heart warming but shit that last part
You managed to turn the fear factor up to 500% with this dub. I actually got terrified by the sounds of a whole city panicking and the silence that followed. Good job!
It was a really nice detail that some of the lights started going out in the city
the fact that we dont see whats happening makes the calls for help even scarier. just sounds of panic and then silence.. its nerve racking. Excellent Job guys
Yep, it’s like what some people say. What’s scary isn’t when you see what’s happening, but when you don’t see it
Really like how this takes perspective from the common folk
This.... this is genuinely chilling. There is still hope in it, but without even a single drop of blood, it makes you feel like the world is ending. And it very well could be in this setting.
There are more feels and intensity in this dub then there was in reading the entire Metal Virus saga. Honestly gave the chills; the voices, the backgroud noises, the sound effects, the panic, the background music, all of it is just incredible. Awesome dub, this one.
Those callers are straight out of a horror movie
I remember listening to this over the livestream and getting chills. The music makes it so much better. Awesome job!
There was a livestream?
@@DSmith3279 they did a charity stream just after Thanksgiving and a preview of this was shown during the stream.
BRO!! The fact that they made a comic insight in the citizens is so freaking cool!!
This is so raw, genuinely scary, genuinely sweet. I love how small the story here was. Dawn and Nite are great characters, lovely designs!
I’ve always loved this part of the annual and I’ve always considered it essential reading for the Metal Virus saga. Stuff like a call from a confused woman hiding from the infected, or a call in from a worried mother about to find that her son has succumbed to virus… it really puts into perspective how real it is. Dropping Sonic characters into a heartbreaking and horrific scenario like a zombie apocalypse and seeing how each of them will react is such a cool idea for a comic storyline.
Dang, this dub was fantastic! The voice acting really makes things a lot more tense. Way to go, as always!
That part where nite was getting all of those calls from people who were about to be infected by the metal virus was just sooo chilling.
Wait, three dubs at the same time?
Anyway, love the new voices, sadly they don't appear too much :(
Final Christmas present for us! 😆
4:24 "AND I'M TRYING TO SAVE *YOU!* HAMMERS DON'T COME WITH A "MUTE" BUTTON, YA DIVA." Hehe. That is so damn funny! 🤣
AMAZING VOICE ACTING OMG- I GOT LITERAL CHILLS
Awesome job you guys!
Well this gave some horrifying chills , it's just a normal day at a radio station and all the sudden your day turns into a living nightmare from a call
Another masterful batch of dubs - with this being my first time experiencing the IDW stories, I've refused to read the rest on my own before I've experienced it in this format first, because it just makes it so much more intense!
Gave me chills! So Eerie and traumatic! Once again, great job on the dub! Happy new year Adrenaline Dubs!
Shivering the whole way through, just two guys getting snippets of disaster alone really brought up the tension. Excellent work!!!
This one was chilling and voices make it much creeper. Love those to birds and you're crew.
I like to think that those two birds where the only ones who survived the whole ordeal without being infected.
4:13 that zombot most have heard the truck and went over there because of it.
The voice acting, the ambience, music, sound effects, holy moly, it all gave me chills!! For a second, It felt like this wasn't even in the sonic universe, well done!!
This is my absolute favorite episode of dubbed IDW series. The voices fit perfectly, everything is high quality and the sequence where all the chaos cuts off into eerie radio silence gives me chills every time. Fantastic work!
I hope we see more of them in the future.
I have an idea, they could appear in a small comic whenever there’s an big storyline that happens, showing it from their perspective. It would be like the much loved comic book “Marvels”
im not even being ironic when i say i think this is one of if not the best comic dub i've ever seen in my life, congrats to the gays for preventing infection ig
The incredible voice acting is what really made this scene
everyone: //describing how chillin' the performance was chilling and amazing
Me: Wow he sure does sound like a radio broadcaster!
As always, this is so incredible! Great job to everyone involved! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this as one of the callers! It was an honor!
We like how the cover is so happy fun times but the comics is dark and thought provoking especially around this time
I'm honestly shaking right now, keep up the great work
the terror in Galas voice is more scary then almost any horror film i've ever seen
Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
Creepy how this arc came nearly around the time of Covid 19
the first one got my heart racing holy shit
that was amazing great work you guys!
And that, friends, is how you write a proper kid-friendly HORROR story. This gave me CHILLS.
HOW THE FREAK DID I MISS THESE COMICS??!??!?! HONESTLY IM GLAD I DID THOUGH BECAUSE DAAAAAAAAANGGG. THE ANXIETY I FELT AND THE FREAKING EMOTIONS OH MY GOD AAAAAAAA
YOU GUYS ARE DOING SO MUCH FOR THIS I CANNOT
god damn this gave me the chills. the voice acting is so damn great!
1:44 When Nite and Don (Night and Dawn, in Sunset City. Nice one, Evan (Stanley)!!) are listening to the calls, you can see the city lights going out as it gets later, which is normally the other way round. So, my headcanon is that when people are being cornered by zombots, they turn their lights off to hide, probably unsuccessfully, and then those who get converted never bother to turn them back in. Or, the zombots are just going around causing destruction, including the lights. Either way, I believe that the idea here was for the lights to represent those not converted, so the less lights there are, the less people are left....
If intentional, that's a great attention to detail, but we already had the Crush 40 album in Nite's studio (K-TBR 199.2 (number is probably a reference to when Sonic the Hedgehog 2 debuted on the Genesis, and if I'm not mistaken, this story is from the second STH annual released by IDW)), so we already know that Evan Stanley is pretty good at this!
I should go to bed as it's well after midnight, but I've got the on-edge twitches from this series, and I just can't stop!
I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be in this situation
I heard of this short story, I'm so glad this has a dub with great talent, great job guys!
This sounds like a scene from a horror movie. And it’s Sonic. So COOL!!!
Wow this is a horror scene. Nice work! I do like horror storys.
The voice acting in this one is outstanding!
Awesome Comic Dub
THANK YOU FOR THIS !!!!!! You're guys voice acting for these specific characters were absolutely SPOT ON !
I was praying you guys would do this one! You guys made this chilling! Even though it was released on December, this feel like something I would suggest people to watch on Halloween! It's just that scary. Well done!
Okay, I am getting chills from the radio sequence, and I love it! Amazing work here!
This scared me so much, i actually started crying for some reason holy shit
The dub gets better with every video, keep it up!
This was so incredibly well done, especially the radio sequence. You guys are amazing!!
Yoooo this dub was so chilling! You guys always do an amazing job! Keep it up! Can't wait for the next issues (because that's when things get REAL intense)!
Scariest thing since Mephiles
Well done!! I love this!
Seriously imagine if this was a game. The 8 year olds who call you trash on COD would eat this up!
and I bet they wish they never called you trash to begin with since COD would have zombies in it and they started to like playing games with zombies in it.
1:36-1:45-1:52, I don't know if I typed this in earlier or if anyone had talked about it, but notice how the number of lights on the pages begin to diminish. It's very subtle, but it's SO EFFECTIVE! At least, in my opinion. Especially when combined with the voice acting.
I love the voices its so intense and awesome. Its also sad because the people on the radio was getting infected, its really sad if you ask me😣 I wish I was a mobian so I could give help to Sonic and the others to help the restoration.
Don the rooster. Oh, like Dawn and Night, Don and Nite Owl, that’s clever
Oh my god that’s clever.
👏🏻🤣
It's like what you would hear in a zombie movie
Sonic doing horror and the dub makes it that much more vivid and scary. Good work, dub team!
This annual did something the main comic couldnt do for 19 issues - make the Metal Virus scary! We all know what the Virus is by the time we read this story, but Nite's POV gives it a new sense of horror. Just imagine. You are one the outskirts of town, in the small shack that usually gets calls from people who just want some friendly advice or to say some kind words, and then one night, without explanation, the entire city starts calling you in terror. One caller hangs up with a scream, another reports about some illness from her son, the next dozen call about some monsterous beings roaming the streets and all vanish like the first caller did. They all call for help, thinking that you are the only person who can do something, and you can only try to comfort them in what sound like their final moments. This issue perfectly combines dread with the fear of the unknown. Cannot believe that we have such incredible writers behind Sonic comics today.
Yeah. That's what is scary is not knowing what's going on as you hear the different calls from people. It's definitely easy to imagine how scared Nite must have been
F in the chat for those new buddies
This part pretty much predicted #KillerFrequency, the very first horror game I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish last year, especially when the voice of the caller/listener from this comic dub sounds believably frightened beyond belief just like how the voices of the callers/listeners sounded in Killer Frequency.
I should REALLY get back on the air. 📻🔘
always good to see ya upload
This one was crazy! Nice job, you guys!
Happy anniversary to this issue that brought us Nite and Don🎉
TechnoCinema's done a fantastic job, letting a foreboding, but ambient theme slowly drift off into distorted, fearful off-key tones... Just, muah. Chef's kiss.
Its so Inspiring, and motivational to have people to help people now since were in the pandemic right now.
The sirens during the radio call part really let me know how everyone was feeling while the metal virus was spreading. Hope was about as real as the chance of any old sonic shows being continued. Lives weren't being taken, but not in the way you think. 24/7 people were heard being infected on the radio and perhaps you, sitting there, could be infected next, if a zombot managed to break open your door.
TL:DR it just in general put the situation into perspective for me
2:31 LMAO for a moment I thought that blacked out panel in the bottom right was a “censor bar” as if Don the Rooster was in such a rage that he stormed out forgetting to pants on or something!
DANG BOI that was freakin good!!!👍
Happy New Year 2022!
Loooooord hearin' this dubbed was WIIIIIILD. I haven't had a chance to read any of the comics and these dubs really bring'em to life. Bravo~ 👏👏
Holy shit! This is the darkest Sonic media I ever come across. Scarier than .exe!
Never before has one panel filled me with more dread than that last panel
This is really well made. It actually gave me chills.
THE VOICE FOR "GALA" IS TERRIFYINGLY CHILLING.
Sydney voiceacted like her life depended on it
Aww, thank you! That means a lot!
@@LandyRShambles Haha! I had a lot of fun with her. Thank you for the opportunity, Landy! It was a pleasure! ^_^
it's pandemonium out there and awesome job on this.
HOLY SHIT this is so freaking scary in audio form 👀
Dang Metal Virus we are on the darkside already
Just like CoronaVirus we are facing now
Damn, Gala’s voice actress was amazing
Thank you so much! 😭💙
oh man, that was actually scary and wholesome at the same time
Woah that was...really good
