When I first saw the track list, I was shocked by the number of collabs, but they are all so perfect for each song. RM really did an excellent job in selecting them and working with them. Wild flower is a beautiful big song, it's definitely one of my favorites, but No 2 is way up there as well. I really love it. It's like this warm, beautiful, sweet hug. Her tone is so gorgeous, like liquid honey. Perfect for this song. And her and RM voices together are matched so well, they elevate each other's voice. This album has blown me away, a masterpiece. In many ways it's an exceptionally intellectual album, which is probably why it works so well for me. I've listened to it many many times so far and it has gotten better with each listen. He has come so far.

im so happy you pointed out how gorgeous wildflower's instrumental and production is i think its inpossible for people to go unnoticed if they listen to the song on repeat i like to imagine its like putting colours on a painting in layers and each time completing a perfect picture i find more beauty of the song discovering every little single detail they put in. and Docskim is amazing he has produced so many bts and member's songs in the past hes alsp part of Ghostband the one we usually see on npr tiny desk and bbc radio one live.
DOCKSKIM the keyboardist from Ghost band- he was the producer on Jimin's Lie, Hobi's Hope World, worked with Seo Taiji.
It's great that Nam Joon was able to choose specific collaborators who served the music, instead of having random guests who while talented, don't really make sense. I'm thinking that's part of what makes it art.
True, Docskim works a lot with BTS in general!! He produced Tear and Scenery by Tae too. And he was on a lot of BTS live performances as a member of the ghost band of course (Tiny Desk with BTS, BBC Radio 1 etc.. and they were even there during the Wings Tour and the Love Yourself Tour)
What impressed me most was the choice of featured vocalists- his taste was impeccable, and everyone fit the song and vibe beautifully, sometimes in an unexpected way. Tbh, a lot of the collabs/features I hear in pop are really meh- a session singer would have been just as good, and the feature was only there for name recognition or hype. This did not have that feel at all.

Wild Flower: Your reaction in that it aims to be a grand song is spot on, and that it doesn't pierce your heart, it slices it up, that's what I felt, both musically and lyrically. And when guest singer youjeen comes in with her desperate keening, it's overwhelming. But when she comes in with nuance and a quiet quality, it pulls you in, its so beautiful. RM's second verse, when he goes off lyrically, but has that rhythm and flow - it's incredible, he's pouring his heart out and it all makes sense but we're vibing with him musically because its in a song. It's almost perverse (if that's the right word to use??), like we're allowed to read his personal diary or hear his private thoughts, but its OK because he's written it in a song.
This album is just WoW. I love & repect our reader, RM. Congrats Namjun.💜💙

Mistakes happen
The production of each song is so good, no western Artist would match up. The new sound, it's not BTS sound, this is Namjoon genre. Absolutely incredible, out of this world production. Insane Artists to add to the Masterpieces. So Namjoonish lyrics. One he hits you with emotions or he slays you with his words. Can't but be proud of him in every way. Thank you Namjoon ah. This is a gift for life. Love you 💕
I'm here to say my opinion so it will probably be a long message with a lot of mistakes because english is not my language. Firt,I will like to say I'm always ot7,always but my bias is tae,I relate with him and other things wich I will not mention right now because it's not about him right now but I mentioned him because I feel like I'm not a huge fun of rap(not rap line,rap in general) and I was always more with vocal line even tho I have favorite rap songs and I listen daily,but I'm not the biggest fan. I really liked hobi's album,I was surprised he tried new things but it wasn't really my stile,not bad but it wasn't really my kind of music .so when namjoon was next I was kind of conflicted but also so excited because I didn't know what to expect. I will remember the moment I listened and saw wild flower mv for the first time forever. I didn't even realized I was tearing up and ibwas clutching my heart until the end. I listened the full album and even tho closer,still life,yun are very high in my top no song from the album is replacing wild flower.even when I was watching your live I had goosebumps all over and tears in my eyes,even now writing this comment the song is playing in the background and is making me emotional. I feel this song so hard because I witness every single day the amount of hate he's getting for no reason,the amount of discrediting he gets for his hard work and I feel like since they all announced this break he suffered the most. I will never forget his shaky voice at the bangtan dinner,he probably was under so much pressure so that's why i feel like when I listen wild flower it feels like he's coming through the screen and is singing those verses in my face with pure raw emotions. I don't why I feel so emotional about this song. And right now,even tho we do kind of bad on views on yt and he deserves more because the video is breathtaking I was an emotional mess all day because I finally see huge support for him. Seeing him going high on apple music,itunes,sales,on kcharts that have been so bad for us this year is like medicine because he really deserves it.He really does and I hope he will climb higher and higher on kcharts and I'm not trying to victimize him but as a makne line bias I see more often than it should how some armys are unfair with hyung line wich is so so sad. I pray for a big debut in Spotify,I hope armys did they part because really for me this right here is album of the year. I know we have proof,jitb,astronaut and all are good but namjoon just did it this time. I literally only slept one hour in this 24h because I streamed his songs like crazy for a big debut that he deserves and I don't feel tired at all,I just had so much fun streaming today. I feel like this album literally has no skips,every song is amazing. Namjoon you are phenomenal,I know it's stupid because he doesn't need my approval but I'm so fr€@king proud of him God,I was an emotional mess all day because he is so talented and deserves all the love in the universe.

I just watched Namjoon's interview with the other artists featured on this album,Docksim he who wrote the songs Lie and Outro Tear,he spoke that he would have retired from making music when he had completed Wildflower ,But he didn't because of this song.

Thanks Jino. Beautiful, heart wrenching, honest lyrics. Really gets me in the feels & hits like a freight train - BAM. Her voice is definitely reminiscent of Alanis, one of my favorite female artists of all time. I haven't gone back & focused on the music yet, but Joon has a lot to be proud of with this. Nicely done.

@12:03. The minute Youjeen screamed her lyrics? Jino almost winced...closed his eyes but it almost seemed like it 'hurt him' .......to hear it. It was so powerful? I lost it and basically cried the first time I heard that song.. Zero shame. The last song of Rm's which effected me (that much) was 'Forever Rain'. Which I've told all my family. I want it 'played at my funeral'. Ironically.....am a Sociopath. Recognize it. A skilled liar/able to charm everyone around me. Could kill if/when needed. BTS annoys me. They're tapping into my 'weak side'. Not good. Although...learnt how to compartmentalize from birth on my tiny Caribbean Island and love their Music.

Range and technique are often overrated. Because without soul there is no real music. Just nice sounding noise.
i understand Jino said about wild flower like its 100% since the first beginning and no rest at all lol but i think thats exactly their intention. the over whelming feeling Namjoon has and hes showing us with the song. feel how small and tiny you are in the storm of emotions and tear you into pieces so you cry, the couldn't breath pain but also kinda release at the end to understand and accept... thats the song try to make people feel. and another thing, put it in the album, you can really feel the journey. it makes sense the more you listen. im just discussing here 😅not arguing sorry
I got Dolores O'Riorden from the Cranberries vibes when YouJean sang in Wildflower rather than Alanis vibes. Either way it's a beautifully haunting song, YouJeen was oustanding and the perfect choice to feature on it.

i thought it'd be something that you might be interested in because literally all the comments they make in this video are incredible. especially in relation to wild flower, when you said it feels the most polished it instantly clicked for me because rm in that video talks about how this is the song that he worked on the longest, from the title concept coming to him in 2016. he also talks about how it's definitely the most important song to him rn, a song that even made the producer on it (dokskim) change his mind about quitting making music. anyway, i thought you might want to watch this because all the artists' and joon's comments are so meaningful.

@@teejay4363 the members love us so much and we benefit so much from their hard work, it's a way for us to show them we appreciate their hard work and appreciate them/their art so much. unfortunately some members have gotten more shine than others. rm specifically deserves the most support since he's been more in the background having more work/responsibilities/creative voice yet others who are the prodigious performers have gotten more attention. i just wanted his debut to be on par with the other member of the rapline :)

I have never viewed any of your reactions and this may be my last . I've listened to this album about a dozen times and have lost it. If you can't understand Wild Flower right off then take your time because out of all these songs on the Indigo album, this one is definitely 360 Nam-joon/Rm. This reaction was really flat-line. There was nothing simple about this album. Nam-joon named this album correctly because it represents the many layers of the color. The beat may be simple on some songs but the chord structures are so harmonic and complex.

You were saying you feel like some things are lost in translation, which translation did you read? Did you read it in your primary language?
There are many translators that have translations posted - some on Twitter, some on their own webpages. I have only seen the English ones so far. I haven’t had time to look for any others.
Language, translation/interpretation, and culture interest me a lot. I like to read several translations because each will be different and I can learn a lot more that way.

RM is really good at writing lyrics. He is a poet. The songs are good but honestly his rapping is the same. The tone and flows are similar to his Mono. Makes sense now that he needed these artists to give more layers to the songs otherwise it will all sound exactly the same.
Closer sounds like All Night and Moonchild. The collab really did a great job of bringing a different twist.
All Day, sounds like Trivia Love without Tablo there.
Some of his songs sounds the same from his last proj, so he really needs those feat.
It's just RM is a good lyricist but without someone who is good enough to convey the message of the song, it will be monotonous

@@milequeeny7338 no question he is a good rapper but he lacks that evolution when it comes to his style which is fine since that’s his style. That is why I said his songs needed that extra oomf from the other artists otherwise they will all sound the same. His lyricism is top notched as always but as a rapline enthusiast imagine a playlist to have similar sounds means it will be flat.
I think RM already proved his versatility. He could experiment further and bring out different stuff that focuses just on his rap but i guess it’s not what he is going for this time. I don’t see it as “he needs” but more like “he prefers” it this way. He is trying to convey certain emotions to the listener while telling his story. The different artists he collaborated with definitely play a big role in conveying these emotions as you said and i personally am really feeling it :)
I’m gonna be honest, Indigo is not really my cup of tea. Almost all tracks are leaning toward more as ‘pop’ imo my ears are craving for some electric guitar riffs and good drums but overall, the album is pretty vibey. It’s an easy listen.
