- A friend of mine sent me some items as well as links to some d2jsp threads where the jsp community was posting screenshots of D2R's assets and items. Quite a lot of people don't like jsp for many reasons, so I assume a lot of people haven't seen these yet, prompting me to make a quick compilation. Shoutout to Hyperdimensions and Penguins0690 for making the threads and the other jsp members that contributed so we could see some of these cool assets that weren't available yet in the alpha test!

is the herb graphic also remastered?
Can we access these assets outside of JSP?
I like how much love they‘ve put into the item designs. It doesn’t mean much to new players, but it really means a lot to players like me that are used to the old graphics. It’s like they‘ve rebuild my childhood in a good way

People who work on Diablo 2 resurrected are POG GODZ!!! Our patience paid off!! I almost cried when I saw the results. Damn seeing the things that we only good image in the game feels amazing

Agreed we can now rejoice my jaw literally hit the floor the first time I saw the in game footage it looks better than I ever could have imagined. It needs some adjustments to the animations and some skills but man I ain’t mad one bit.

@@crisnmaryfam7344 I think he's referring to the waste of using botd in a Halberd, there is much better weapon bases to use

Skulls except chipped and perfect are hard to distinguish,
topaz and of course diamond looking amazing, on the other hand chipped ametyst and chipped saphire is looking like garbage. Especially chipped ametyst right-bottom edge. Child drawing. Also normal ruby looks cartoonish.

@@vladimirbaran115 I disagree. It's very easy for me to distinguish the skulls. Maybe there is something wrong with you?
They look great blown up but check them out actual size, the detail is lost and they look muddled. This could also have to do with the quality of stream or video. I am guessing it will look good when actually playing the game
For me chipped topaz looks bad and rest is great. Diamond is the best of all.
Are these the latest? I feel like the runes and some equipment look better here then the alpha gameplay I saw.
alpha is shut down... these are taken from the files that were cracked.

@@kwmcgreal These organ pieces are from before D2 got released. In an interview, David Brevik said they planned to use the organs as crafting materials, but the team ended up scrapping them from the game. I guess they were still in the files and VV decided to remaster them just in case.

These items aren’t from OG D2.
Strange, but gives me hope that they will be for something similar to the pandemonium event, maybe even DClone
they are in the mpq files. They had some functions in the older version but they cut out. Like you could make a potion or something from them.
Gems runes and charms looking just awesome! Btw. the font is too thin on the items for me. I hope they change the font in the game for more bold.
Yeah the font is bad i agree too , especially if u play D2R on WIndows mode as me !

A lot of inconsistencies with item colors.
Are there more videos or photos out there of NPCs close-up ? I really wanna more of the Resurrected NPCs. Akara, Kashya, Charsi, etc...
Sigons looks fuckin badass now lol. And god I hope d2jsp doesnt get resurrected with this game. Blizzard needs to come up with a trade site like POD or PD2 has so no one uses d2jsp anymore. Or preferably an in game search for specific items people have listed. Anything but jsp.
d2jsp wouldn't be bad if the currency didn't go over seasons. I mean if you have a lot currency you can buy anything from start and no need to grind. You wouldn't be able to buy currency for real money. Some universal currency for the game would be nice. Ok we can say HR-s are but I kinda disagree. I mean you have bad RNG all season you can't find any decent item or runes you can always grind like pgems, jewels, crap runes and sell them for currency and if you grind a lot you can have enough currency to buy HR-s etc. But there are no universal currency.

Lol everyone complains about colour like they want to play d2 in black and white.... These are fine, D3 was even fine just not the rainbows, they have kept to the dark "theme" which is good.

do anybody know what are the flag 7:33 , and what is it for? Is it usable for anything?! also don't know what are the quill, soul, spleen, jawbone, horn, tail and fang.

why dont they make the resurrected a separate game and make a story progression. i think almost everybody loves the new graphics. dont need the classic one
This is what D3 should have been and looked like, not that utter garbage we got 9 years ago.
There is very little storage. It's something that looks really bad.
The item colors from gems are horrible they need to make them truer to the real colors, i always put gems in my armor to change the color but not these ew

I don't avoid streaming out of laziness, I don't stream because I'm as interesting as a bowling ball, and it's hard to be "on" for hours. Maybe when I get beta and D2R releases when I try for 99 or something!

Yep, at least we don't have to drop it in-game and risk losing it though, or in the case of single player, it's actually possible without modding now!
@@Stormsong93 hopefully there will be even more thought put into this for holy grail oriented players, maybe a library of items, or one non-playable character with an infinite stash, to give items to through the shared stash

Love the graphic updates plus the details on weapons and adding color too the game :D Also having unique items actually look unique on your character is sucha buff. :D !
I wish the original game had better models rather than just colored base armor for some of the unique items like harlequin crest. Cause we know people would flip shit if they changed them now lol.
How did you manage to get all the exceptional higher level items working? I've tried to load my old chars but they don't work.
With somethings I like the old version and some I like this. I feel in its current state it does need some more changes. I would wait another year if it ment making stuff a bit better. Hate on me if you want but that's my honest opinion.
With all updated, beautiful 3D models for shields I wonder if the Blessed Shield will be changed to adapt, instead of that ugly neon sign?

Dunno about the Sigon shield. I get that they tried to replicate it as it appear in the inventory but it doesnt seems to fit with the rest of the set.

It looks like the organs that were planned for the original Diablo 2 before they were scrapped by the original Diablo team. VV must've decided to remaster them just in case.

How are people higher level than 30 that was the alpha cap
I read that they were able to get a hero edited char to work, and then started mfing. Some people were also able to get the other classes to work as well, which is why we now know what the pally/sin/necro/druid skills look like as well.
There was no level cap in the tech alpha.
D2 and D2 Resurrected uses the same type of save file, just simply convert it or use hero editor.
There wasn't a level cap it just took forever to level up after 25. Some people legit got to 35 or 36. Hours and hours of grinding tombs
I've changed my mind on the gems, they look really good. Chipped to perfect. All good.

There was no shako photo unfortunately. The Pemerald cap is identical to it though, unless they changed that from the original.

These look really good in high def, not so good when they are smaller on your screen and at lower quality in a stream or yt video.
Yeah I agree, I noticed a difference from watching streams and then getting an an alpha and actually playing.

They were planned to be for crafting but were scrapped before the game released. They're still in the game files, so VV probably remastered them "just in case."
I feel a lot of people immediately hated on the gems because streamers said it. They look fine lol
I'm fine with 99% of the art honestly. Most of it I can live with, there's only a couple that I would prefer to see improved, like Holy Freeze Aura.
The items, both on and off, the characters look amazing. I wish the characters faces looked as good.
i dont get why people hate amazon, she looks grizzled, rough war ready and perfect for the universe of diablo. I don't want another rpg with perfect looking 10's who clear battlefields like master chief, only thing i can complain about is less underboob on sorc
@@FlyinToilet Majority of people and primarily zoomers want beauty. Just those fake people on instagram/snapchat/etc, and or swimming pool/hot tub streams. I also think the Amazon fits quite well. People hate on the druid also, I think he's one of the better ones. Especially if you compare him to non D2R.. Huge upgrade.
@@FlyinToilet There was plenty of Blizzard produced artwork included with Diablo 2 and the LOD expansion to the game and the promotion of such. They showed the Amazon to be female and relatively young. D2R is supposed to be a remaster of the original game. No time has passed. It is the same game, taking place at the same time as the original. I am not asking for a barbie doll but there is no reason the Amazon should have aged 20 years like the rest of us. The developers want feedback and they are getting lots of feedback on this aspect of the remaster from people who are unhappy with this unwanted and senseless change.

@@Dasqal The Amazon typically does not wear a full face helm. she usually wears a circlet or crown helm. The Amazon is normally my main. She may wear a great helm fo r the rest of her days if Blizzard will not "fix" her mug.

So much inconsistency with the item looks imo. Some are great, a lot are just downright awful. I really wish they had just made the game more like Starcraft remastered with updated sprites and modern widescreen support.
