I love Lightstrike Pro midsoles. Use the Takumi Sen for 5k's and have been using the Pro 2, initially for races but now training. Just ordered the Pro 3, it's on it's way! Just wish they could make it lighter. I know everyone loves the Vaporfly and that it's fast, but I just don't enjoy the ride like I do with Lightstrike Pro - thanks for the vid 👍
What a fantastic review ! Immediately ordered the adios pro 3 on sale . But yeah no annoying lights music , flashy screens blindsiding me 😅 perfect . Enjoyed watching 🎉
I got 300 miles on my Adios Pro 3, and just started running in my second pair. AP3 has great durability. The upper is in great shape, but the midsole might have gotten flat. Just for fun, I also ordered a pair of V3, and I'm looking forward to trying them out.
I really enjoy the AP3 as well. My experience in them is very similar to yours. I hope you enjoy the VaporFly 3 as well. Happy Holidays. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
I bought two pairs of Vaporfly 3 in March in two weeks for Boston M and six days later, London M. Heel slippage on my right foot and soreness in the heel bottom after walking on a treadmill emulating the elevation profile of the Boston course, compared to none in the Vaporfly 2, made ne return both pairs. Instead, I ordered Adios Pro 3 and Alphafly 3. Alas, they will arrive on April 9, only six days b4 Boston. So, I'm back to Vaporfly 3 for Boston as well as for London.
Hey good luck and have fun in Boston!!! I’ll be living vicariously through you! London is a big trip especially so close to Boston. That’s awesome. Enjoy!!!
Two nice pairs of racing shoes, Tim! Since the running shoe market has been focusing on the shoes both well cushioned and carbon-plated, we have quite a lot of choices out there. But without expert reviews like yours, I could hardly ever choose the right ones. I would like to run in the Adidas adizero Pro 3, too. (Actually, I haven't tried Adidas running shoes yet.😅) Thank you for another great reviews, Tim! Have a great weekend.
Thanks so much. That’s very kind of you to say. I’m looking at picking up the adidas Boston 12. From what I’ve read they have made some positive improvements. Have a great weekend!!!
I have the same issue with Adidas Boston 12. At same spot I had blisters and even blood. I will try the way you have advised. Other wise find Boston 12 very good for training.
I've always been with nike but just brought the pro 3 I heard so many good things about them and at 100 quid nearly cheaper can you go wrong. Nice review.
I love the adidas pro 3 but find the toe pop off to be slightly lacking. I don’t get on with the Nike though, caused hot spots on my arch with the vf, and the alphas took a chunk of skin off my heel.
Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it. I’ve always enjoyed Hoka. I’d like to try the new Rocket X. I’m glad you are enjoying your Carbon X3’s. Have a great weekend!
Still trying to figure out a marathon shoe for the fall. I had some issues in my last marathon with the Adios Pro 3 upper in the front where you mentioned. I think once I get back into marathon prep I'm going to try and keep the bottom couple eyelets loose like you mention and see if that works. Love the midsole, love the outsole and love the durability, just need to figure out that upper. Any signs of an Adios Pro 4 coming out?
Hey Matt. Do you have a marathon in mind to run in the fall? It’s fun to tryout new shoes. Good luck and have fun shoe shopping. I haven’t heard anything about the adios Pro 4 yet. I’m hoping for a better fitting upper. Have a great day!
I just received the same color way Adios Pro 3 as you did. I noticed that a part of the insole is popping up and is unglued. It's the part where the arch of my right foot would rest. I'm wondering if I should should just gorilla glue that part down or call Adidas about it. I'd return them but I got them for a great price of $138.
How much break-in do they need if you’re not used to carbon plated shoes? I have a half in 3 weeks and just got the vapor3 and I’m thinking of doing an 18k long run with both easy pace and race pace as a break in. What do you recommend?
That's awesome! Good luck and congrats on running your first full marathon! You'll have to let me know how it goes! Oh boy that's a tough one for me to give you a solid answer. If you mid to forefoot strike and you normally train in neutral running shoes without issue, then yes. I have had good luck with the adios Pro 3. I haven't had any issues running in them and they are now one of my favorite marathon shoes to run along with the AlphaFly V1.
@@RunTall thank you! I currently run in Kayano 30 and Pegasus 39. I even ran a 32k race in my Pegasus 39 so I guess the Adios Pro 3 might work on me too. Thank you 😊
i go half size down with adidas because i find them a bit too long. but i don't have adios pro, i do have takumi sen 8. do you have your takumi sen 8 the same size as your adios pro 3. i actually have 2 pairs of ts8 and 1 is true to size but that's for more relax running and uncomfortable in speedwork
Hey thanks for sharing the info. Good stuff. No, I don't have the takumi sen 8. That's a shoe I do want to try. I've seen the takumi sen 9 on sale once in awhile. I was going to pick it up on a sale day but I was a little to late and the sale was over. Have a great day.
My feet just don’t like Vaporflys. VF2s and VF3s always cause tendon pain in my foot after a run. I switched to the adidas and couldn’t have been happier with them. But there is so much I love about the Vaporflys and wish they worked better for me.

No problem. I'm glad you liked it. I have go to try the takumi sen. That's not a shoe I've run in yet. Have a great day.
220gm on adios pro 3 is lighter than most running shoes out there
What a fantastic review ! Immediately ordered the adios pro 3 on sale . But yeah no annoying lights music , flashy screens blindsiding me 😅 perfect . Enjoyed watching 🎉
Hey thanks! I really appreciate all of your positive feedback. I hope all is going well with you. Have a great weekend!
Easily best shoe review I’ve ever seen hood job sir
Awesome! Have a great day.

I keep hearing the same complaints about the pro 3 upper. Hard to understand why you bought another pair. I’ll pay the price and get the Vaporfly 3.

Tim the toolman delivering again 🔥
LOL... love it. Tim Allen is funny and I loved that show. Have a great day.
Great comparison Tim! Both great shoes, but vaporfly slightly better with the softer midsole.
It's a great shoe. Hey thanks for taking the time to comment. Have a great day.
Adios pro 3 big cut out in the forefoot is a big flaw. Your foot twist outwards as you tip off making the shoe unstable.
I have the same issue with Adidas Boston 12. At same spot I had blisters and even blood. I will try the way you have advised. Other wise find Boston 12 very good for training.
I hope that works for you. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Have a great day! Stay safe.
A very interesting video to watch where the 18 minutes passed really fast !
Good job 👏
Glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate your feedback. Have a great weekend.
Adizero great for wide feet runner! The pro3 is half size larger then SL2 and Boston!
Nike just dont seem to make errors in their shoes whereas adidas are prone to releasing the odd clanger i. e. pro2
Just paid almost $300 for a pair of Adidas Adios Pro3 mint color in S. Korea!!! Still very overpriced here due to its popularity!
Awesome. How are you enjoying them?
I got around 450km on my Vaporfly 2, still feel more or less the same, suspect they will easily go up to 550km.
That’s awesome. I’d love to get that in these! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
I've always been with nike but just brought the pro 3 I heard so many good things about them and at 100 quid nearly cheaper can you go wrong. Nice review.

Oh know sorry to hear that. Have you found a shoe that is working for you now?
Good morning from 🇪🇸. Interesting comparison. For me, i have Hoka carbon x3. Here is my like. A nice Friday for everyone. 🌞🏃🌞
Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it. I’ve always enjoyed Hoka. I’d like to try the new Rocket X. I’m glad you are enjoying your Carbon X3’s. Have a great weekend!
@@RunTall Hi. The rocket X2 very fast running shoe for me. Let's goooo.Cheers

I chose the Adios Pro 3 as I heard it gets better after 100 miles plus I got them discounted!
I really like them. Great midsole ride. I hope you are enjoying them. Have a great day.

Hey David. That’s to bad. adidas might just replace them for you. You got a great deal on them. They are worth every Penny.
By the way, great review.

I've flat over pronated feet and running my first full Marathon in September. Will you recommend the Adios Pro 3 to me?
That's awesome! Good luck and congrats on running your first full marathon! You'll have to let me know how it goes!

With your posterior tibial tendinitis, which shoe would you pick? Probably the more stable one? Adidas?
Yes... adios Pro 3 is a better choice for me while dealing with it. Have a great day Fidel.
@@RunTall thanks.
The adidas pro 3 is the best all around shoe and very affordable ( I have 3 pairs of them)

adidas is a great shoe for sure! One of my favorites. Have a great day and thanks for sharing!
Easily one of the better videos.
Hey thanks. I really appreciate it.
