- I filmed this video about a year ago after wrapping a show.
This is what I took with me on set.
Every artist's kit will be different and will change from job-to-job depending on what the director or client wants.
Please don't feel like you HAVE TO own every piece of makeup- -mixing foundations shades or lipstick shades will take you a looooong way.
I know building your kit can be overwhelming. I purchase most of my tools/products/equipment from:
MAC, Naimie's, Nigels, Frends Beauty, Walmart, Amazon

Hi Julie. Could you make a video for those of us who are just starting freelance work, a video about HOW to get clients, where to find clients? Im my self a makeup artist and i cant say that i just started... i have been doing it since 2007 but i dont have much of clients.... I do work as a freelancer on some of the tv chanels but thats it.... last year i only had 2 clients, one of them was given to my by a college of mine.... i really struggle with this... how to find clients.... what to do to make them find me? I mean social media isntmuch of a help.... Buisiness cards an flyers didnt work yet and i have been trying that for last 2 years intenselly...
I happend to live in the Netherlands where women dont care that much about getting their makeup done or makeup in general.

You have brown eyes. Should you be were wine eyeshadow. Opposite of brown is Blue. Blue eyes wear rust rose gold.
Mai visto un kit così disordinato. Da vera makeup artist, i prodotti si comprano refill per un motivo. La disposizione di questo kit non solo è scomoda ma anche poco funzionale.
