My name is Van, I am a makeup artist in NYC. I use this set up for the past 10 seasons of NYFW, Celebrity clients, Fashion campaigns & lookbook shoots. Hopefully this video will help some of you guys have a better understanding on setting up your kit, I know its a journey but it will take time to get your set up to a point that it will work for you!
This is not a video for you to copy exactly how my set up is, because I promise that it will not work for you. Look at your clientele and see what you need, and start condensing!

Excellent Video !!! I think this is the first True Professional Makeup Artist kit and Professional setup presentation . It really gives the beginner an intro to a professional setup and for Fashion week and or commercial shoots, and even day checking for TV or film . Thank you for this ! Please make more videos, I 'm sure you will develop a huge following !!!
You should watch the other video he made! I never feel the urge to have more clients so I can apply every tips he gave us in his videos! I never feel lighter ever since.

Waow thts awesome if only I had this video when I learned about make up.The stress of thinking how to afford 12 blushes All mac products etc Reason why I didnt get too far I couldnt afford all the things I thought I needed.From the fancy make up bag to high end make up.You hv high end but only what you will need and its not overwhelming

I noticed there were separators in your MAC carry all bags. Please tell me where I can find those. I had no luck at the container store. This is the BEST setup I've seen! I don't like having too much stuff out on the table.

Question, how do you and what do you use to sanitize makeup in between clients? Also, you mentioned you have a liquid eyeliner pen...how do you use that on clients and how do you sanitize it?
Jao to clean hands and station, Cinema secret brush cleaner for brushes, alcohol for pencils. I use mostly cream products on a palette so nothing really need to be sanitize. the Liquid pen I don't use much because they are not the cleanest but the Mac liquid pen, the tip comes off so you can spray it with alcohol but I prefer cream that you can scrape out more than liquid pen.

muji and the container stores are your top place to shop for those!
