Tahoe Rim Trail Day 3 | Genoa Peak to Tahoe Meadows

Join in following this 7 day and 173 mile long journey circumnavigating California's Lake Tahoe!
Hot climbs offered SPECTACULAR views of Lake Tahoe as we climbed into a high desert environment full of wildflowers and windswept shrubs. Spooner Summit offered toilets and water caches, plus good camaraderie with other hikers.
Marlette Lake campground was a welcome reprieve with its water pump (tested regularly but high in aluminum, not mercury*). Cleansweep got sick this afternoon, and we hunkered down not far from Mt. Rose Highway.
