Looking good Will. I like this kind of practice too. For myself - I have a goal of #1: making every landing good enough so that I don't scrape or damage anything. ( And it is all too easy for me to scrape the prop tips with an Me 109 or Spitfire. ) And #2: I feel good if I can increase the number of sweet landings I am really happy with. - Practice makes perfect . . . ? Naaaaah! At least it makes us better.
Hi Will, super video! Nice and relaxing to watch. I was about to say your field is pretty wide open in comparison to ours surrounded by trees/Forest and one powerline but at least no windmill yet xD. BUT as you say approaches are the most important. After doing also a session of only touch and goes and landings on my Futura 64 in the spring I got a lot of confidence. Maybe too much also hahaha Looking forward to watch more of your videos and the Avanti 90! I got yesterday my box with the standard Avanti but I´ll practice before with my 70 Viper, then 80 FW Avanti and then the 90 Avanti or Viper. Inbetween I could maiden my new Avanti 70 V3 too. I got that to exchanged my V1 FMS Avanti that I wrecked and glued together also at the beginning of the year :)
Sounds like you are on the right path.. Lots of practice builds confidence for sure. I think the Avanti 90 is easier to fly/land than any other EDF I have...
I don't have the Avanti 80.. So I can't compare. I think the Avanti 80 would win the competition though... I have the new Avanti 90 and its amazing.. The best EDF I've ever flown. (review to come out soon...)
Great job
Great practice session Will...this is what makes pilots great...
Thanks Adam... Appreciate it.. I'm sitting in the Bella Bella, BC Airport with a cooler full of fish.. :-)
@SteffenRC Heck yeah!

109 and Spitfire...both challenging to land well. LOVE Spitfires!
100% agree... btw, a friend has that Eflite 109, and he toed out the wheels a fair bit. Those ground loops are almost gone. I couldn't believe it..

@@SteffenRC ok, amazing! 👍🏼
Have you flown the 80mm Avanti? Should also be very good (?)
@@SteffenRC yesterday I bought a 80mm Mirage from a Neighbour. It’s without landing gear and seems to be crazy fast and twitchy 😬😬
U like futura better then avanti 80
