    It's great seeing the old equipment being used and not just stored away in the back of a barn only to be looked at

    I was surprised just how effective a job that made. I really enjoy seeing old kit working the way it was intended, as usual another superb video.

    My grandfather bought a new Ferguson in the early 50's with a front end loader. It's still in service on the farm. I remember learning to drive it at an early age. No power steering, hard to control for a youngster. 🙂

    Great video Cowfarmer Dan! I really enjoy antique farm equipment and seeing it used. I live in Kentucky in the U.S. I have never seen a machine like this one. Thanks for taking the time to share a view of the past.

    Always amazes me the equipment these people produced with limited tools / facilities to produce them compared to the tools / technology available nowadays. Great vid as always Dan 👍🏻

    Nice to see the little lady earning its keep. I know how effective the sun can be in killing the weeds. One year I ran a terra disc through the stubbles to chit it. Left it a while so the weeds did grow. A few days later we had a really hot morning and I was working with a 4 m Kongskilde triple k. Ran that through part of the ground and there was a vast difference between what had been done a second time and what hadn't.

    Nice job, it looks like you caught it just in time and perfect conditions. Some rain after the weeds have quailed away and the crop will soon smother out any more weeds. Looking good.

    Just need a cushion on the seat the way he drops you down😂
    It also brakes the surface to let any rain soak in.

    We have a Nicholson 5 row beet hoe mounted to the front of our DB 885. Originally a rear mounted implement and added another row when we changed our Stanhay beet drill for a Matco 6 row version. A video of it in action is on my channel

      Well that's done it Dan! You're brothers a traitor!!!😉
      Great to see them working. Actually the first time I've ever seen them work.
      Just one human sensor rather than a load of electrics to go wrong, though I suspect of you had loads of acres to do I know which you'd choose! 😁

    hi Dan what in your opinion makes for the better grey fergi a standard diesel one are the Perkins conversion enjoyed vid 👍

    • @CowfarmerDan
      @CowfarmerDan  4 роки тому

      Perkins is more powerful but the standard is quieter running.
      They're both good engines.

    Hello Dan it has been a little while since I have talk to you about my MF 1200 I saw on the video that you engage the PTO on your machine. Did you have to push the clutch to engage the PTO ?

    • @CowfarmerDan
      @CowfarmerDan  3 роки тому +1

      No, it's independent.

    • @noahsaunders84
      @noahsaunders84 3 роки тому

      CowfarmerDan cool I thought the clutch may have been stuck so now I understand it all works from the PTO lever. You just pull it in slowly thank you very much Dan. I really enjoy your videos
