Well the thing with square is that the music isnt owned by the company but by the respective composers so in order to use the music tracks you would have to discuss it with the actual composers and most of them are pretty stingy i.e the Dragon Quest music composer
Even though I really wanted a Metal Slug character as a Fighter in Ultimate, I can settle nicely with Metal Slug music in this game. Hopefully SNK takes this opportunity to further advertise that they're working on a new main series Metal Slug game!
I don't know why but I always picked Fio in Metal Slug. SNK said yes to mass amounts of music, perhaps they're ok with another character or two. Who the heck knows what Smash can pull of at this point, it's already gone farther than I thought it would.
