Because of the SNK leak, I had a couple of guesses as who could it be. One being Athena being a possible playable fighter for SNK's rep if they're going for a female character that stood out pre-neogeo days and the flagship fighter of the most recent SNK Heroines. I never knew about the SNK cast before I found a leak that led to Terry's inclusion, then when I saw him in Smash for the first time I found it good, then I got to play KoF XIV(I forget my team aside from the *salt mine priestess* herself), then a bit of CVS 2 and now I have SamSho 2019.... Me and my best friend have this tradition that whenever we play smash and either of us pick this song. The only two characters we pick is our mains. My Terry, and his Mario. The amount of times he has ladder combo'd me to this song, or I have down-flick, down-flick, buster wolf'd him are countless. Such a good song to experience epic matches to.

I got this in my recommended. So I've only heard the original twice in my childhood, on my Dad's computer, on Mame32. I clicked on this out of curiosity (since the title seemed vaguely familiar), and as soon as I started to recognize it, my jaw dropped Hats off to the composer of the original version as well as Yuzo Koshiro (the arranger of this version)
Me and my sisters knew Terry was coming but I never watched the full showcase , I was actually looking for the regular Psycho Soldier song today and came across this version and it just got me so hyped , Psycho Soldier has one of the best hooks in all of music imo and I always sing it this is truly one of the best arrangements in this series . I thought Hard Man from Mega Man 3 had the best remix for Smash Ultimate and then I heard this 😍and Athena is my favorite female in SNK so this makes me happy .
If you think this has one of the best hooks in all of music, you really should check out Japanese music from the 80s-90s, and especially music used for anime/tokusatsu/games. This is just one of many songs, there are tons out there with a similar style and catchy hooks.
It sounds old in the best of ways! It sounds distinct from music we hear today, but has updated instrumentation that was cast perfectly to still cast the feel of when the song was made, while adding new modern flair that would fit with the song.
I have several favourites excluding this one, ESAKA in particular, but I can't get enough of this song to play anything. I'm addicted! Nothing feels more epic than swapping blows/putting the hurt on someone than during that chorus!

I can't believe it... I never knew about the SNK cast before I found a leak that led to Terry's inclusion, then when I saw him in Smash for the first time I found it good, then I got to play KoF XIV(I forget my team aside from the *salt mine priestess* herself), then a bit of CVS 2 and now I have SamSho 2019.... I absolutely love the lore and world that SNK creates

I clicked on this out of curiosity (since the title seemed vaguely familiar), and as soon as I started to recognize it, my jaw dropped

Me and my sisters knew Terry was coming but I never watched the full showcase , I was actually looking for the regular Psycho Soldier song today and came across this version and it just got me so hyped , Psycho Soldier has one of the best hooks in all of music imo and I always sing it this is truly one of the best arrangements in this series . I thought Hard Man from Mega Man 3 had the best remix for Smash Ultimate and then I heard this 😍and Athena is my favorite female in SNK so this makes me happy .
If you think this has one of the best hooks in all of music, you really should check out Japanese music from the 80s-90s, and especially music used for anime/tokusatsu/games. This is just one of many songs, there are tons out there with a similar style and catchy hooks.

Reminds me of those Sailor Moon transformations, and I love it.
It sounds old in the best of ways! It sounds distinct from music we hear today, but has updated instrumentation that was cast perfectly to still cast the feel of when the song was made, while adding new modern flair that would fit with the song.

I have several favourites excluding this one, ESAKA in particular, but I can't get enough of this song to play anything. I'm addicted! Nothing feels more epic than swapping blows/putting the hurt on someone than during that chorus!
