That painting is really BEAUTIFUL! I've been obsessed with doing PBN since COVID lockdown! It's incredibly relaxing and extremely therapeutic. Because I'm older and my eyes aren't as good as when I was in my 20's or 40's, I purchased a pair of clip on magnifiers to put on my eyeglasses and it really put things into perspective for me. Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience!
That's a great idea with the magnifiers! This painting definitely needs them, haha. I'm glad you're enjoying PBNs, they really are fun and theraputic. 😊
I was amazed at the size of the package when it arrived in the mail, and I wondered if it would even fit on my desk, let alone on camera! I know not all of their designs are quite as large, but I had to have the pink jellyfish, lol.
It's been about 30 years since I did a paint-by-numbers, but I remember it being just as you said - very enjoyable and relaxing. Btw, this one wins my 'Most Shocking Thing I've Ever Seen in an Art Video' award for that brush with the uneven/missing bristles. 😲
I've done quite a few PbNs in my life, and I am happy to see them make a resurgance in an improved way and on a much larger scale. I could have sworn the brush was perfectly normal and whole when I first used it, and then suddenly the bristles just weren't there! So weird, lol 😂
Its a real achievement to complete and it turned out beautiful. I did 3 whilst in lock down, same size, picked mine up from red dot, some were van Gough, started with the irises, then sunflowers and lastly da Vinci Mona Lisa. After finishing I realised I started with the most difficult, but once finished they turned out a treat. I managed to get a floating frame from spotlight that I can rotate these masterpieces. I actually managed to pick up another painting to do, they all cost $15, bargain, if you ask me. Look forward to your next video
They sound amazing, I'd love to paint some of the masters! I might have to look for some floating frames. Shops reopened again yesterday, now that we have come out of lockdown at last. It is such a relief!
Yay, Love your videos, you bring a smile to my face thank you from the UK. Loved paint by nos as a kid and would love to do an adult one like this, I went on their website but all the paintings are too bright. I think they should do more neutral colored ones as well as these would suit a lot of people's colour scheme's
Thank you so much! I am sure they would appreciate your feedback, and I am sure they will add more designs over time. Some neutral designs and palettes might be something they can include in the future. ♥️
Wow! I’ve never quite seen a design like this one either but it’s beautiful. You did a great job, it actually turned out worthy of being hung up on the wall or something😱 there’s so many little fishies. I’ve heard of others doing paint by numbers and it looks like so much fun, but acrylic paint and I don’t always get along🤣
Oh I'm the same, acrylics are usually a pain, but they're actually fine for paint by numbers because there's no real mixing and the fast drying isn't an issue. It's when trying to blend them like oils that they are a nightmare, haha.
@@AlexisCassandraArt Golden Open Acrylics are also worth looking at, as they are slow drying and are much nicer to work with. I have tubes that need to be filmed, lol!
I was struggling too! I got some new reading glasses which helps, but it is still tiring on the eyes over longer periods of time. Especially when doing an entire painting in a short period so I can finish the whole video on time! 😂
Who knew a jellyfish could be so pretty. It turned out great!
Wow! That is beautiful!
oh its soooo fiddly and intricate! .. the pinks look gorgeous against the blues .. thats a lot of work there Becky, great job x
Thank you! It was super fiddly in some parts....my eyes were really tired after filming 👀
