I am from MI and I bought a new RV in 2021 which unfortunately had 2 roof leaks in the first 8 months. Each time the dealer had trouble locating them. So a Flex Armor roof became a necessity once I learned of them. I went to the Lifetime RV Roof location in Kansas City in July 2022. The service was excellent. The owners Brian and Garrett, as well as their tech Bryce, personally did the work. They texted pictures of the process. Now I have a worry-free roof that is quieter, better insulated, no caulking, and a lifetime guarantee. Highly recommended!
This is the first investment on my RV, a 2019 Jayco Redhawk SE 22C after we hit a branch and caused a water leak (Wasn't a month after purchase small rip) . Fortunately the RV dealership fixed it for free. Right after that I found FlexArmor and a local installer. Had that done and never regretted it. As you stated, it has a lifetime warranty as long you own it plus its transferable if you sell your RV.
Sounds like whatever you paid for it was money well spent! You will have to update us when the year anniversary comes around and let us know how it weathered a whole year! Roofs are a constant worry, that's for sure!
We purchased a 2023 Thor Challenger (class A) recently. I'm seriously considering this for next year to stay ahead of the issues with these roofs. How has the upgrade performed for y'all so far?
Hey guys… long time listener, first time commenter. How much weight did this application add to the overall weight of the coach? BTW… WE loved the Iceland vids… Epic!
Aw thanks James! Glad to have the 1st comment! Im not sure how much weight as we haven't done a before and after weigh. But it is a valid consideration. I'm sure the shop could tell you average added lbs per foot.
Living in illinois it would be nice if there was someone up in the Midwest doing that. I’ve got a 2021 gulfstream le 3020 class c and even tho the roof is in great shape I’d beyond a doubt do that right now. I just took it to Elkhart Indiana and had a Truma tankless hot water heater put in it.
It's a bummer they don't have installers everywhere (yet). Maybe on your next trip you can take it to an installer in another area. It is such a nice upgrade!
I understand that cost will vary with size and difficulty, but it would have been helpful if you guys had said how much it cost you so others could at least see if it is in the same ballpark as their budget.
It cost them nothing, they were mostly reading from a script and they got it for free plus more most likely. They should have shared what that one would have cost.
We did not get it for free. We did get a portion of it at a discount. We didn't share the cost because we didn't want you to have that coat fixated in your mind and be mad if it cost more because you have a longer roof, had bad decking, etc. You can get a free quote online for your specific roof and they have price per foot estimates if your decking is in good order. That's a much better way to get a feel for what it may cost. - Liz
@@EatSeeRV Unfortunately our experience with any service that shunts any questions regarding cost to a 'get a quote' page means that the service is very expensive, and they know it. That's why they don't advertise the price. In addition filling out the 'get a quote' often (not always) triggers spam contacts.
@@EatSeeRV We can't find any price per foot on their website. Where is it at? I tried both on desktop and phone, and while I get a lot of pop-ups asking to fill out the form for a 'free quote'; I can't find any reference to price per foot.
I don't know where you came up with $27,000 but that's no where NEAR what we paid. We didn't share price as mentioned because it will vary based on your RV roof length and needs. If the decking is bad the cost will go up. You can get a free quote online and they give a rough price per foot estimate too. The cost was a fraction of what Paul is falsly quoting btw.
@@paulnubreu6887 Holy cow!! Where'd you get that number ($27,000)? That'd be a 140+ ft rig!!! To the best of my knowledge, there's never been a FlexArmor roof even close to that!! LOL.

Wohoo that's awesome, sorry about your leaks it's so frustrating but so glad you got a happy resolution.

That roof tech is amazing!!
Roof looks awesome. I seen a solar panel on there. Looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks Don
Yes our panels are back on and working great! Looking forward to sharing it with you 😊
The problem is there are so few locations you can go to. Closest one in california is 8 hours away in az
Danny is a great person. He installed flex amor roofing on our fifthwheel last july. It's an awesome difference.
What did it cost
It makes the world of difference no?!
The cost varies based on your roof size and if you need to replace decking. Ours was just over $5,000. But that price can change dramatically for you.
@@EatSeeRV that sound very cheap
For the finished product and never having to worry about the roof ever again yes!
Looks like a great product, it may be on my to do list for the future.
Definitely a thumbs up for this video 👍
It's been GREAT! Thanks for always tuning in 😊
Cool upgrade Love the vibe of your video.
Thanks Ed!
Just found your channel and it's awesome! I have subscribed

3.75lbs per linear foot

I hope they gave you a free roof or at least a discount for the advertising you gave them.
A portion of the roof was discounted as mentioned in the video. 😊

We didn't get any spam from them. Just a quote. They also offer a price per foot on their website if you want to price it out yourself.

This looks similar to spray in bedliner in a pickup. Is that the texture?
Not as rough. But it does have a texture to it.
Enjoy your videos. What was the cost of your new roof ?
We paid just over $5,000 but it will be different for everyone depending on if you need decking replaced and how much is sprayed on your roof
@@EatSeeRV See, that was not so difficult, had you mentioned it in the video it would have been a much better video. Thank you for sharing.
Cost?
It will depend on your roof. You'll need to get a quote as mentioned in the video

They were being sneaky in not covering the cost. I guess they don't want it known the price is $27,000.

HOW MUCH $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ DID YOU PAY FOR THE ROOF SHOWN IN THE VIDEO? Is it ok to tell us now that its been over 2 years?
❤️👍👍👍
It looks so good doesn't it?!

Paying $27,000 for that roof is ridiculous.
Who said it was $27,000? Ours certainly wasn't. And if you need a new roof it's not cheap
@@EatSeeRV Wow.. it was more than that, pretty clear why you did not share the price for your rig.
Where, exactly, did you get that number? These roofs cost nowhere near that.
