As a Brit in the US for many years now, I have only experienced one Christmas back home in 26 years and miss the stunning displays, lights and quaintness of the festive season.. This was lovely Miranda, the first part where you are wandering through the forest in your green dress and red beret and basket is like a scene from a fairytale! Loved everything in here, especially seeing round Castle Howard, and your cushions and Emily Sutton goodies. Also, I had no idea there were sequels written to Wind in the Willows, how did I not know this?! I immediately reserved The Willows at Christmas from my library and I’m so excited to start it! My daughter is a hairdresser and she so appreciates it when people bring photos! It is SO much easier to see what the client is thinking of when they just try to verbally describe it and not everyone uses the same lingo the stylists would so cross-communication is very common. A photo ends all of that! Naturally, they know the client isn't thinking they look like the celebrity pictured (-: Knowing a fair amount about styling from what my daughter has taught me, I too think your mum might suit that cut. It seems Juliette B has a similar hair texture. What's hard is when folk come in with a photo of someone who has very very different hair texture because a cut has to take texture into account! (Wrote the comment as soon as you mentioned the haircut. I see the results prove you were spot on!

Miranda, I've recently found your vlog and love listening. So happy to hear you speak of Christmas, and getting me in the spirit. Our schools in USA in most recent years cannot decorate for Christmas and it is so sad; the word " Holiday" has been subbed for Christmas. The school's decor is snowman, skiing, winter and without use of colors red or green, no Santa Claus, no Christmas tree.

I went to the fair in the cathedral on the Saturday- it begins my Christmas. Pre covid they had school choirs performing throughout the day and so I think some of the atmosphere is missing but it’s still lovely. I saw the stationary and thought you would like it. Just found your channel and going through older videos. Your mum looks - stunning, fabulous, much more than just ‘presentablek but as a Brit and a women of about your mum’s age, (probably a tad older) we were always taught to be ‘presentable’ only. To aspire to anything else just wasn’t done. Please do tell her again from me how good she looks. And her new hair cut - well, it’s inspiring. She looks younger and elegant.
