One of the most magical Christmas books ever is Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" illustrated by Beth Peck, it is a beautiful memoir of his childhood christmas's at his relatives house in 1930s Alabama. Truly wonderful.
The USPS is so slow here in America. I ordered a few of your Christmas recommendations from older videos a couple weeks ago and I still do not have the books. Next year, I will have to start a lot earlier in my purchasing. I have a whole steno notebook of all your recommendations! So delighted to see ‘Lanterns Across the Snow’ recommended too. If you haven’t read Mollie Harris’s ‘A Kind of Magic’, there’s a wonderful evocation of a childhood Christmas in the Cotswolds.

I received A Country House Christmas as a gift last year and have been saving it for this Christmas, good to hear you recommend it!
I also love the wind in the willows and got a copy of the willows at Christmas last year which I can definitely recommend. I also looked up Chris Dunn's calendar you mentioned last year and discovered he is an illustrator from Keighley just up the road from where I live. His wind in the willows calendar is on sale this year so I will be requesting it for Christmas! The illustrations are fantastic xx
