It is important to protect your life and your neighbors. Life is sacred. Rebbe gives the best advice on this matter. 100% agree with Rebbe.

I'm not a parent, but I think I know how I would behave as one. If my neighbor's dog jumped the fence and bit me, I'd restrain the dog and take it back to my neighbor and let him know what happened. If it happened again, I'd probably do the same thing. I'm not sure how many times I would feel obliged to do this. BUT, if my neighbor's dog jumped the fence and bit my child even once, my neighbor would be looking to buy a new dog,

The Rebbe gave over what it says in the Torah and applied the wisdom of G-D'S Torah to daily circumstances. There is a reason it's called The Living Torah.
