A note on Itzhak Rabin's "The Eyes of the Rebbe" because it should be a book.
Enroute to visit a family in Skokie, Illinois some years ago, I would pass a residence with a poster of Menachem Mendel Shneerson on its front door. Even as a gentile, I was aware of his renown and fame because his outreach had reached even me. Anyway, I tell you, the eyes of the Rebbi followed me as I passed that residence in Skokie with exactly the same qualities mentioned by the late Itzhak Rabin (also of blessed memory) in this documentary. That was just from a poster!
Rabin's impressions from the Rebbe are the deepest, most accurate and human of anyone I ever heard. Simply beautiful.

Amazing. If only Rabin acted on his Jewish identity, instead of pushing it away.
He was a complicated man, struggling constantly with the half of his soul which was from our Holy Avot and the other half of his soul from the Erev Rav. The pintele Yid as shown here won against Idi Amin at Entebbe. The Erev Rav side won against the Altalena and when he begrudgingly shook Arafat's hand on the White House lawn.

Sadly he turned his back on the words of the Rebbe.He turned totally and arrogantly off the path of a Jewish values and leadership when he brought evil and impurity into the holy land when he brought Arafat to begin the ongoing massacre and demoralization of the Jewush people.That is how he will be remembered.That is his legacy.He should have listened to the Rebbe and not Peres.
