There’s actually another movie where Oggy and his friends and cockroaches go to India. This episode was done because the show became very popular in India. They even acknowledged it by showing Indian kids watching it in TV and asking Oggy for an autograph. I don’t remember clearly if it was a movie or a normal episode but I remember that scene specifically, it feels like a fever dream.
The Hindi Dubbing in India really gave the characters so much more personality and made my childhood. I am probably gonna watch this show even in my old age.

It was dubbed in the Indian language which made it way more funny than the silent cartoon. Not only kids, but even adults were into it because of the high-quality comedy that both the show and the dub offered
The thing is, the Cockroaches are genuine bastards. Meanwhile, Oggy is just a guy who wants to live a peaceful life. He's not a fighter, but every day the cockroaches come around to screw him over. They each have believable motivations too: the Cockroaches want to annoy Oggy for fun and profit off of his stuff, while Oggy just doesn't want parasites in his house. It's also interesting how each of them react to the other "walks away" from conflict: Oggy feels guilty when the cockroaches leave for good or die, despite them being a thorn on his side he still has a moral compass; meanwhile, like you pointed out, the cockroaches go as far as building a fake Oggy to pester for fun. Also of note is that Oggy and the Cockroaches, just like Zig and Sharko, acts like everyone's body parts, fur, antennas, etc. are detachable (especially the noses) or clothes, that can be removed for comedic effect.
I should mention that there's one episode where Oggy adopt a snail and after noticing his snail was lonely, he got a female one and they reproduce so much that the house was filled with snails. Oggy loved all of them but the cockroaches got so annoyed by it that to get them rid of them, they convinced Jack to cook them and feed them to Oggy.

I know not many Americans know this show but this show is a freaking cult in India. It is dubbed but is somehow not bad as a dub, 99% of the dub is done by a single man, who does Bollywood actor impressions but still somehow makes them original. This show was a big hit in India. Even in India many people don't know that there were 2 versions the pilot program which had dubbing done by a company Guamount it had all S1 episodes later they moved to Xlim which redone the entire dubbing from S1 to end. Surprisingly the older pilot version is extremely hard to find in the Internet. And NGL the dubbing gave the show wayyy more personality. I still remember most of the episodes and how it went just like many other shows at that time. It was good times isn't it.
don't forget they literally made an episode or at least an entire arc of Oggy, Jack, Olivia, and the cockroaches going to India and Oggy realizing that he's famous there and all the kids helped them find the cockroaches

There was one episode where Oggy gets his whole face deformed and he goes to hospital to remake his face through operation.That episode was terrifying for me as a kid.
It’s a french cartoon, do not question jack and monicas relationship 😆 Show is worth a watch if you don’t have anything to do, I’d say the episodes involving anything with guns are the best
I am convinced that Oggy is some type of god-like being who`s just on earth trying to relax but gets annoyed by the cockroaches but since he has never had that much fun in his life chasing the enemies that he can never kill, he never uses his powers on them.
omg the hindi dub was the one I spent my entire childhood with. its so weird hearing the cockroaches' names as some english names since i always knew them as pablu jhaplu and i forgot the last one's, but the hindi dub was so much funny
This series means a lot to me. I find heartwarming how this series is getting more and more praise as time goes on, especially the first three seasons, where its strong elements like the slapstick and surreal humor truly shine. It used to be a pretty hated cartoon with a lot of detractors back in the day and one of my personal guilty pleasures as well. Fortunately my interest for this franchise didn't die out and I still consider it one of the peaks of French animation. By the way, both Dee Dee and Marky are my favorite characters, and I think they're almost as fleshed out as Oggy, Jack and Joey!
In hindsight, _Oggy and Cockroaches_ does have in common with the art style of _Pizza Towers._ The fact that Joey looks a lot like Noise and Oggy's running animation is similar to Mach 3 Run is something that I can't unsee it now.
I mean... Pizza Tower is basically inspired by every cartoon in the 90s and 2000s. Not just Oggy and the Cockroaches, but also Chowder, Space Goofs, Ren and Stimpy, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures and Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Oggy was absolutely the core memory of my childhood loved this show so much. Actually there were certain Easter eggs too in the shows like posters of the "hage hage" dude showing up on random streets and walls outside of Oggy's house.
I always thought Jack is Oggy's best friend and a roommate until I looked at the synopsis of the episode on TV and found out that Jack is his cousin. Makes matters worse is that he dated Oggy's sister, which leads to canonically having baby together.

The show creators knew how strong it's Indian audience was, that's why they sometimes placed Indian refrences here and there, i honestly loved the reference like Oggy's trip to Mumbai for cricket, but it's season 6 is overdone, not much enjoyable, they added Piya and all, but jhaplu paplu taplu are not annoying in this season and Piya neutralizes peak moments, fauji is non existent, the animation style unnecessarily makes it an elementary kids cartoon, dubbing is also not nice as it used to be.
I just realized, it might a coincidence but, the cockroaches are named after 3/4/ of the Ramones : Joey (Ramone), Dee Dee (Ramone), Marky (Ramone). For some reason they left Johnny out 😂
This show to me was the natural evolution of the Tom & Jerry formula. I loved it so much, especially the completely bonkers episodes like the one they freeze the whole world. It's just cartoon logic. There are plenty of Looney Tunes cartoons that take place in different time periods; it's the kind of stuff you don't really question because it's not meant to have any logic, lore or continuity. Oggy Next Generation and Oggy Oggy are clear attempts of the showrunners trying to make the show more kid friendly (it did launch in 2021 where we have the "modern audiences") which kinda sucks.
The Cousin part are Probably either one the Mother side and Father side but not related by blood technicality, Both Oggy's cousin but not directly related to eachother. It's better explanation than the full blooded ones.

This was my favorite show when I was a kid (around 2006). I look at it even when I was older. My most favorite episode was that fast train episode. And that a big plane, which show sometime, looks ridiculus.

I loved this show growing up. I remembered ALOT of episodes, such as A Night in the Opera (my first introduction to the Toreador March long before a certain horror game), the one where Oggy gets facial reconstruction surgery (the magazine cutout gag still floors me to this day), and the one where Dee Dee and Jack eat a biscuit/cracker that gives them hilariously obnoxious dialogue (perhaps intentional on part with the writers).
According to wiki the creator of oggy died two months before the first episode even aired so for the entire 8 seasons of oggy (not gonna include new oggy doodoo) he wasn't able to see it which is sad to think about
1 One episode i remember very vividly which made me sad is the one in which oggy seals cocroaches in can and that can gets mixed up with alot of cans and Oggy is desperatly opening every can to find them . 2 One other I remember is the one in which cocroaches hijack Jack's mind and make him look crazy to Oggy and Jack ends up being crazy by the end of episode 3 There was one episode in which joey and Oggy ends up being friends, rather i should say parent and child i think this happens because Joey loses his memories and gets them back by the end of episode .

I do like how in later seasons (around 3 to 4) the writers changed the story slightly from Oggy getting bullied 24/7 by roaches to both Oggy and the roaches bullying eachother equally. Or they even form a truce to get back at Bob who was being an even bigger nuisance to the 4 of them.
@@sdx3918 There's an episode where Oggy and the Roaches teamed up with each other to get everyone out of his house who made it look like a 5-star resort by Jack. Like Tom and Jerry, they aren't a cartoon rivalry without them teaming up to confront against another character who is much of a big deal.
The later seasons spoiled the fun the first 3 seasons were absolute chaos
Bob also became more of a friend of Oggy and Jack in Season 4. In the earlier seasons he was always being disturbed and had to beat up the Cat bros

This show was a big hit in India.
Even in India many people don't know that there were 2 versions the pilot program which had dubbing done by a company Guamount it had all S1 episodes later they moved to Xlim which redone the entire dubbing from S1 to end. Surprisingly the older pilot version is extremely hard to find in the Internet.
And NGL the dubbing gave the show wayyy more personality. I still remember most of the episodes and how it went just like many other shows at that time.

in india all the characters are dubbed by a mimicry artist that imitates famous bollywood superstars. so all the characters have famous voices. the cockroaches also have a very *hood dialect and accent* which is very informal and almost never seen in cartoon shows for children.
There was one episode where Oggy gets his whole face deformed and he goes to hospital to remake his face through operation.That episode was terrifying for me as a kid.

This series means a lot to me. I find heartwarming how this series is getting more and more praise as time goes on, especially the first three seasons, where its strong elements like the slapstick and surreal humor truly shine.
It used to be a pretty hated cartoon with a lot of detractors back in the day and one of my personal guilty pleasures as well. Fortunately my interest for this franchise didn't die out and I still consider it one of the peaks of French animation.
By the way, both Dee Dee and Marky are my favorite characters, and I think they're almost as fleshed out as Oggy, Jack and Joey!
In hindsight, _Oggy and Cockroaches_ does have in common with the art style of _Pizza Towers._ The fact that Joey looks a lot like Noise and Oggy's running animation is similar to Mach 3 Run is something that I can't unsee it now.

The show creators knew how strong it's Indian audience was, that's why they sometimes placed Indian refrences here and there, i honestly loved the reference like Oggy's trip to Mumbai for cricket,
but it's season 6 is overdone, not much enjoyable, they added Piya and all, but jhaplu paplu taplu are not annoying in this season and Piya neutralizes peak moments, fauji is non existent, the animation style unnecessarily makes it an elementary kids cartoon, dubbing is also not nice as it used to be.

My aunt remember watching this show as a kid and you could say this show spanned multiple generations of fans.
It's about 20+ years old
This show to me was the natural evolution of the Tom & Jerry formula. I loved it so much, especially the completely bonkers episodes like the one they freeze the whole world. It's just cartoon logic. There are plenty of Looney Tunes cartoons that take place in different time periods; it's the kind of stuff you don't really question because it's not meant to have any logic, lore or continuity. Oggy Next Generation and Oggy Oggy are clear attempts of the showrunners trying to make the show more kid friendly (it did launch in 2021 where we have the "modern audiences") which kinda sucks.
One of the best cartoons ended, it was heart breaking when i heard that
The Cousin part are Probably either one the Mother side and Father side but not related by blood technicality, Both Oggy's cousin but not directly related to eachother. It's better explanation than the full blooded ones.

I remembered ALOT of episodes, such as A Night in the Opera (my first introduction to the Toreador March long before a certain horror game), the one where Oggy gets facial reconstruction surgery (the magazine cutout gag still floors me to this day), and the one where Dee Dee and Jack eat a biscuit/cracker that gives them hilariously obnoxious dialogue (perhaps intentional on part with the writers).
