      I would suggesting measuring from the top of the head to an ear and add 2 inches to measure you radius.

      Satin is the weaving of the material using a fabric. I don’t know what the satin I use is made of exactly since where I buy it its only labeled as ‘satin’. I’d suggest any satin that is affordable, think and has a good sheen on one of its sides.

      😊 thank you. You can adjust it to your liking. I just saw that the length would work for all head sizes as it is long enough to be adjusted.

      I’ve actually started using flat thin elastic bands because they lay flat against the head.
      The corded string was what was available to me at the time

      It’s normal silk. They don’t have it named where I buy it. I’d say buy one that feels close to silk texture and is soft to the touch.

      Hi. It’s an elastic string. Unfortunately when I buy it there’s no branding on it so I can’t give you the exact term used for it. They do come in various ways with size and colour. If you find a fabric store I’m positive you’ll find a variety of these elastic strings.

      It’s normal satin that has the wrong side dull and the right side shiny.

      In South Africa the fabric store I go to called Moosa’s fabric sells them. You can try online but they tend to be expensive there.

      It can but if the hair is plaited down. It’ll fit anybody as long as the volume of hair is small.

    Hey. What type of elastic are you using. Does it say Hat Elastic? Is it round / flat / braided etc?

      I’ve switched actually to a flat elastic as this is better to avoid headaches. I shop by eye so unfortunately I don’t know the technical terms to the different elastics.

      I’m glad it was helpful. I buy it at my local fabric store called Moosa’s fabrics. I’ve been looking for them online but the websites I find them on are all international so I’m not trusting that.

      Lol no. I use threading that matches the colour of the material so it can blend into it and look invisible

      Azania tresses ok I was just wondering how it works on reversible bonnets for example if I make a pink and purple one and if I use purple thread won’t the purple thread show on the pink side when it’s flipped?

      @@jamiahwhite4383 do your top thread in the coordinating color and your bobbin in the other. That way it will match and won’t be seen.

      I’d suggest you change the speed of the video.
      I fold the fabric only 3 times before cutting to get 2 pieces.

      you can use 1 yard to make bonnets of 18" diameter up to about 26"

    Is satin and silk the same king of fabric ?

      No I don’t think so. You can get natural silk or a blend but satin is a blend of material. The purposes of hair and skin they both provide the same benefits.
