I actually saw the same tour of Nevermore with Mercenary - but in Germany. I was blown away, too, to this day I still absolutely love 11 Dreams by them (Firesoul being one of my favourite metal songs). Great reaction and nice story, brought back some nice memories :)
If you don't know already, Kral the former bass player and 'harsh' vocalist in Mercenary has started a band called Firesoul, that we might get some similarly themed music from in the future. He's a huge Nevermore fan too.
I love it. This song, your selection, this band, band members and this channel.

I was in the Camden underworld when they first played songs this album live. Met them that day too. cool guys.
I heard this album when it came out and (believe it or not) was a bit "meh" about it. Left it for a few years, started watching Jeff Loomis videos, want back to this album and thought "what the fuck was I thinking, why did I leave this?". I found Nevermore took time to fully get into but was well worth it as it pays you back in spades.

This album is a masterpiece without a doubt. Sentient 6 is the very first song a guitarist recommended me (someone who had never listened to heavymetal before) to take a listen. Then the tune of this song stuck in my head since and I have become a metalhead today. I have lost count of ho many times I 've listened to this album and this particular song. Hopefully more people get to appreciate their amazing musicianship and technical superiority through your vid. Thank you!!
Jeff and nevermore have been one of my biggest influences since the late 2000s ..I started listening to nevermore when I was like 14 and I started playing guitar that year..I'm 29 now

Top 5 metal album, IMO.
I first saw them when that record came out, as well. It was Megadeth's Gigantour. They were incredible live. A hard R.I.P. to Warrel. I thoroughly love this record and Dead Heart in a Dead World. I'm not even normally a power metal vocal kind of fan. Warrel had a way about his voice that was irreplaceable. Great reaction, and respect to a fellow fan.

This album is fantastic, this one and "Dead Heart in a Dead World" are my two favorites from them. As for this song, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic lyrics... almost the best song on the album... almost because the title track is simply the best song of Nevermore carreer, it's just that good.
And lets not forget Warrel's other band, Sanctuary.

Suprised you didn't do the incredible live version of this song. It was one of the highlights of that DVD they put out in my opinion.
Sharing your appreciation of this remarkable band, I give props to you for showcasing an amazing song. Nevermore deserved much greater success but, we, in the metal underground, shall continue to celebrate the creativity and virtuosity of these musicians. RIP Warrel Dane.
