I was fortunate enough to see them two times at a club in Atlanta on Memorial Drive called uncle Tom’s Tavern they played the same club circuit that my brothers banded in the late 70s I was only 14 at the time but my brother knew the bar owner and they let me in I just cannot drink. Then we’re good days especially going to watch my late brother and his band ( ALIEN) would play . And rock ‘n’ roll clubs in the 70s and the 80s were awesome. This whole album is great unfortunately this is the time during the new wave Era started up and I wonder if that maybe had to do with them not going further than they did with Radio airplay ? Idk? But I really think if this album that came out a few years earlier for a few years later it may have gotten bigger but either way watching them live was awesome and the sound guy named Ken Cranked the PA and had them Loud AF and sounding great . I still have this album in my collection till this day. ❤️😊
I have been looking for this fucking song for over 30 years! I thought maybe it was Sammy Hager. Are used to jam to this in high school and when I got to the82nd. This is one of about five songs that I’m searching for from my younger days. Just today I decided to watch the Henry Winkler movie Night Shift for the hell of it...... and they’re walking down the street is playing in the background and I will be able to look it up. Thx dude!
As I recall, the band never really broke. But Jerry Riggs went on to play in the Pat Travers band in the early 80's. And they would regularly perform this song live. I recall getting a promo copy of this record from my local record store. 😎☮️
jerry buddy;friend of mine : i cant't express to you how proud i am of what you've done with your music. do you remember the mid-1970's group called the SOUL SEEKERS ? it was you, John, Steve, Sammy and me . you were a great 15 yr.old guitarist then and still are.. Big Shame the radio stations , that I can recall, never played their music.
Erona Calloway I never understood that either. Great music for the radio.
The 2 songs on the original HEAVY METAL (movie) soundtrack - "Heartbeat" & "Radar Radar" - barely ever got radio airplay either.
Oh do I remember this!!!
I saw him do this with Pat Travers many times!
He's great guitarist and really nice guy ... ♥️🎸🎶🎤💣💥
Radar Rider is Iconic with the Heavy Metal Soundtrack!

I didnt know this.
Saw them at Rumors downtown ATL loooooooong ago !!
Used to go see them at a place called Rumours in Atlanta. Amazing talent. Would love to see them back again.
Did you see them at C.W. Shaws on Buford Hwy when they were Raggedy Anne?

I was at CW Shaws that night for the final Raggedy Anne show with Don Trane singing lead. Must have been '79 or '80.
Totally awesome Vocalist and Lead Guitarist. ..nice work
Jerry is now a guitarist in 38 Special.

Yes he ! I hung out with Pat and the band many times back in the day! Fun times! Jerry is Amazing 🎸🎶🎤💣💥❤️
Killer tone and powerful ass snare!!!
Saw Jerry Riggs when he was playing with Travers at a bar in Abilene, Texas. My name is also Riggs, no idea if any relation.
the acid test is ordering both of you a sandwich: white, wheat or inbread?
Glad to share DNA with Jerry would have loved for him to be more of an influence than just on albums
Rock n Roll
Heavy rock melodic at his best !
And unique et great sound
This band should have been huge. Great song by a great band.
Love the overall effect, especially the flat tuning on the drums - nice contrast to the biting guitars
RIGGS RULEZ!
Awesome track!
These drums were so far ahead of the curve it was sick, low tuned, very Motley Crue before they were Crue
Bruce what happened to the rest of the album?

LOL, That was YEARS AGO. Recall those days
All true. Used to roam the Strip looking for good music and heard these guys. Guard Dog album cover was the best.
