If anyone wants some context, he and Roger were due to face each other in a few rounds. Each of Roger and Rafa had been asked this (what do you love about the other guy) during EVERY SINGLE post-match press conference up to that point, that's why Rafa sighed at first. I expect he was thinking, "are you really asking me to answer that question AGAIN?! AGAIN???!"
The respect between these two great rivals is incredible to see after so many years. Haters say that Rafa doesn't give Roger enough credit and whatever, but it's obvious that they both appreciate each other and show that fierce competitors can still be courteous and polite. They aren't best friends, and don't need to be, but the way they treat each other is in keeping with tennis as a sport of gentlemen.
I read an article the other day on how Rafa cried happy tears when Roger finally won his French Open title after years of working towards it. The respect and support for each other in this rivalry is amazing and you can see many of the younger players emulating them in that regard; such class acts to follow! The tennis world will cry an ocean when it's time for these GOATS to retire as players🥺😭😭
