Thanks for the comparison TM. I am collecting the FT and XTB versions so have had no chance putting my hands on the DX9. I am certainly happy with my choices. I think FTs has really achieved some magic with their Stunticons so far. From their Motormaster to their Magnum, themass shifting that they manage to achieve is something else. Really appreciate all the time you have put in for us to have this review. It is always very appreciated. Be excellent to each other!!
I own the FT version since release and I still love this figure. Transformed him back and forth numerous times without any issues and he's still as sturdy as ever. I'm waiting for my FT Magnum to come in but if the individual bots are any indication of how the combiner will be quality wise then oooh boy...
I know this is a 4 year old comment, but I agree. I'm still on the fence which company of stunticons I want. Maybe I should wait.... hopefully Magic Square tackles it.
Definitely welcome for the bot TM! I still think Dx9 deserved at least a tie for sculpt for good g1 accuracy. But otherwise great comparison as always.
I like how fan toys put their own spin on these figures, but not at the cost of accuracy. Dx 9 used those spare parts as gimmicks for their lack of paint and to make a sale. That's just laziness on their part. However, I appreciate your being unbiased, and it helps me to make a better decision on a purchase. Thanks Tm
Thanks man, a lot of people say I am biased towards fans toys, which is probably true but at the end of the day I'm just providing my opinion and you guys can decide which one you like.
@@TMReviews I know you're not being biased in fact, your comparison videos would suggest that. Your presentation is all there. And we, like u have to make a decision, that's just what it is. Give credit where it's do.
@@levogerstevenson4561Way late but, those spare parts saves them a lot of money as it's easier to provide them rather than to redo the entire thing as these have already been assembled and ready to ship out. It's like buying a book and getting an errata sheet that just shows what pages have errors and what they should say instead of having to reprint an entire new book. The errors are corrected for future releases but not to the ones that's already been released. Same thing happened with the SS-86 Optimus Prime as they sent them out with the trailer / feet portion backwards but, they'll be fixed for future releases.
Dang! FT's absolutely Killed it! I mean I like the Dx9, but the Fanstoys is just superior figure in this case. Yeah, I agree there's just no comparisons. As always great video!🌟♥️
Back when fanstoys were decent and weren't trying to be takara and offered you quality at a good price and made there stuff available, this video is perfect because it shows why fanstoys were number 1 i mean 10 buck more than dx9 and vastly better figure it's a shame they are doing what they are doing now
@@EpykkDyzastur yeah i do in fact, i got all the stunticons so far and magnum while decent has issues that really piss me off, and if you're gonna start charging a higher price i dont expect these issues like feet not being able to support the weight and knee rachets that are poorly spaced making him annoying to pose and lean, but thats just me

Thanks Lowell, I really appreciate your feedback and for watching.
Great comparison. I never felt the quality was there with the Dx9. I went with xtb for alt and combined modes and Fanstoys for bot mode.

The thing I don’t like about these two companies is that their scale is bigger than the normal MP’s. I know, to each his/her own.
Yes both are bigger than MP car bots in robot mode, but it's accurate to the sunbow chart, definitely a preference thing tho

@@TMReviews from that scale chart you posted, looks like Deadend should be a head and a half taller than Tracks bumper

Thanks again, appreciate your help
In terms of price, I will go for DX9.
Its only $5 difference at retail release, but aftermarket has gone way up
@@TMReviews as for me, I've to buy online and na is alot of difference between FT and DX9.
In my country, I got Montana at $66.... FT Spoiler selling at $150

Insane the difference between them gotta say the dx9 are like toys more still both good but dang
The dx9 box reminds me of gta vice city 😆
I think that is what they were going for

It's a shame what who is doing now?
FansToys trying to be Takara? Have you held Magnum in-hand?
I'm actually not clear what this comment meant.

leon henry Must be your copy. I have two and no issues. Try tightening it up with a screwdriver.
