please check all advanced stats for defense, raptor etc. Tari an Sengun are only players with +defensive ratings. Jabari was terrible on both end. He is at the bottom of Nba on almost every stats, wich is ok because he is a rookie and too young, will improve by time. Do not trust your eye test, Jabari showed a lot of effort on defense, yes, but he is lacking of anticipation and bbiq.
Sengun had 70 steals and blocks, the youngest ever in Nba. was on Top 5 list on offensive rebounds, top 15 in total. he was desperate on drop, driven by poor perimeter defense, had to control 2 guys all the time. And big suprise for you but his stats are par with Embiid on rim protection. His slowmotion unorthodox moves are misleading for most, yet effective.
And his rookie and sophomore stats are almost identical with Jokic. Jokic was better on FT, % had 1 more 3 pts attemp per game, but Alpi had more blocks, steals, dunks. those are the small differences. Rest are almost similar

Great video. I do think the caveat of "I'm not saying he's as good as Jokic" being applied to a 21 year old is extremely telling. It kind of has to be said, but the fact that it's a thing shows this kid has tons of potential.
With an improved shot he's going to be nice. I also see his defense improving. He's too smart and competitive not to. This will be his third year playing American ball.
I'm hopeful Ime uses him smartly. I can see a 18-10-6 year from him.

Sengun gets center playing skills from Hakeem Olajuwon so I believe he’ll get better soon especially now that ime udoka will be the coach not Silas,Eric Gordon is gone

Cut that stupid argument that he got his skills from Hakeem. ! He trained with Hakeem for only 1 hour or so for PR reasons. He had all those footwork skills before joining the Rocket in Turkiye.

Jokic's unselfish styles are too hard to be read, studied or analyzed by his bewitched opponents and their frustrated coaches because they can't tell which he is going to shoot or pass. It would help him to get less burdens, stresses and problems because he trusted his own teammates who can take care of themselves when they are playing with confidence and motivation. Humilty makes him more powerful and popular. Compared to a player's selfishness which is easy to be read because they always will find his weaknesses easily. Many selfish players don't understand the difference between individual and team in any sport because they tend to forget that basketball itself is a team sport like a true war with a lot of substitutions but boxing is an individual sport like a true duel with no substitution.

Jabari was not a good defender bruh 😂 You see his body and biases about others with his build on defense to formulate an opinion. It’s very clear that TARI was the only good defender on the team last year.

Jabari was not a good defender. He wasn’t good at anything.

he showed plenty of good moments along with some bad ones like any rookie would! he finished top 5 in blocks for rookies at basically a block per game (0.9) and playing alongside iso ball is tough to get a rhythm offensively too. i think saying he wasnt good at anything just isnt true. he had the most double doubles as a rookie since yao ming as well which is impressive considering it hasnt been done since 2003
