Nice method. I’ve been working with Filti for a while now and was looking for new design ideas. Highly recommend Filti!

Thank you for sharing this with us, and many thanks to your wife and her company for the work they are doing. We all need to take care of each other, now more than ever. Stay safe, everyone. 💚

What a touching moment when mom is asked about her children. Hope all is going well and everyone is asjusting accordingly. Thanks for the how to and sourcing information with discount code for better filtration media.
Edit: one question, is the filter media washable? Or is replacement advisable?

My wife and some of her friends are making pleated masks with a filter pocket while I am cutting filters to fit. They have made literally thousands, and donated most of them to the hospitals in our county. They have also donated masks to a few hospitals in other areas of our state as well as to hospitals in other states that requested them.

Good job Will and wife. I have been making simple birdhouse kits and giving them to parents with kids stuck at home. I posted them on a local community Facebook page. A local teacher incorporated them into a 4th grade class nature lesson. Everyone seems enjoy them. Especially the kids. For most it was their first try at building something. Enjoy the mask making. You're doing good thing.

Sound quality on your Alton Scientific commercial is really poor. Maybe reshoot with a lav mic? Some fill light would help too. Thanks for the link to the HEPA filter fabric - my wife has been making masks for weeks and using fabric interfacing. This would be a big improvement!

It was less than ideal circumstances and we were trying to stay 6 feet apart which is what I was trying to impart on the viewer.. Ideally I would've used a boom mic overhead which I didn't have. I wasn't allowed in the building past the front entrance which was a very echoey box. I tried getting a zoom h4n pro near the subjects, and was less than thrilled when I got back to edit. The footage still supports the story however, so I decided to use it.

Wm. Walker Co. thanks for the reply! Now that you explain all the challenges, I’m impressed you were able to do as well as you did! As you said, the sound is “echoey” but legible. I also work in an administrative role in healthcare. While I may not be in direct contact with patients, it means a lot to know your efforts are moving the needle in the right direction!

I got my Filti fabric in last week and we immediately kicked out a few masks with it. Great fabric, perfect for mask construction or as removable filters in masks (we use the Olson mask pattern for that version) and love it! I can even use it as a washable dust mask in some cases.
