This video should be played to the young generations in high school and college. Although Im able to enjoy it miles away due to technology, todays kids need to disconnect and discover nature and how we are a part if it. Walking in the woods, down a train track, camping, looking at space through a telescope. Those are the memories I have as a kid and cherish, which sadly most young ones now days have not experienced. All of these, and many more, give us a place in the universe and a purpose for life.
Warms the soul. I feel like I’m having a cup of coffee at the cabin with my wife while the kids are in bed about to run out to snuggle with us. Many thanks Will.
I love the driving sound of the dialogue against the serene images and glimpses into your world. We want to say we have the choice to grow, but we grow whether we like it or not, based on innumerable forking paths, each one reaching towards the light with whatever power the previous paths left behind it.
I see my sub is not wasted :) Love this video man. Calming and made me think about my own motivations and my own life. Powerful really, thanks for this.
That was very poetic and really makes one think. Well orated and great videography to go with it. The words could stand alone in a poetry book, but together, in a video, are much more powerful.
Beautiful, Will... Thanks a bunch for sharing! Nature, the universe as a whole, means everything to me. I'm a pantheist... I don't know if you know what it is. Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Frost notes in that poem that the paths he finds in the wood are pretty much the same. Doesn’t matter which one you take. Only later, he’ll sigh and attribute the success/failures of his life to the choice he made; Frost was recognizing the self-deception we use to comfort ourselves later in life. (Enjoyed the video, just pointing out that many, not you, quote that most famous of all lines in the poem, which is the opposite of what the poem is about!)
In my early art school years, a friend, knowing I grew up running through the woods in the Blue Ridge Mountains, gifted me a collection of Frost poems. They spoke me. I would have loved to recite the whole poem. It is a shame that many don't take time to read the full text of what is often quoted. Thanks for watching!
Yup. Keep your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the springs of life. Do what you love and the fruits will be refreshing and pleasing to all who witness.
Good one William, reflection after/during what this world is experiencing, after the first images from the James Webb telescope does makes one think who we are and where we are going. Here is another perspective from Carl Sagan ua-cam.com/video/GO5FwsblpT8/v-deo.html
