This is the first time I noticed your signature at the bottom of the mold. It’s a really neat effect on the raw ingot. I like the etching too. It gives the ingot new, more professional look
Hard to believe that you can get that much aluminum from an armload of crutches. All the way around: perfect job. Etching is the icing on the cake. Thanks for posting. 👍
Very nice. 👍 I have a couple crutches I have picked up while out driving and a lot of other scrap also. Hopefully in the next month I will be able to start melting down what I have. Keep the videos coming. I look forward every week for them 👍
Thank you big stack an Ingot for the good shows you produce and I like that every Ingot and every coin and everything he casts has its own signature fingerprint like a snowflake good work
@ 1:30 , FYI for people watching: See sparks while grinding? ... not Aluminum.... Iron/steel 👍 Nice ingot!! I'll be making loads of those when I get that mold too 👍😋👊
You really do some great work! The etching process is pretty cool but I gotta say....your lawn looks great! It's real difficult to get grass like that here in NE Indiana lol.
Great video! Quick question, I have been searching for the drill bits you have with the sanding pads on them, where do you get them and what are they called? Thanks!!
That must be difficult trying to balance all your hot items on top of those little fire bricks. Have you ever tried using Hardie backer board as a fire proof surface? I have vermiculite boards I use, I think there meant for kiln shelves, Hella more expensive then Hardie backer, I've been meaning to grab a sheet
ADAM that was AWESOME viddy and its ALWAYS a good day for MELTING lol love the big puff of smoke at the end of the pole and the damn pole going in circles not once but twice that just killed me for sum reason. So I have to ask this. You waited for people to come out of the hospital and you stole their crutches didn't you lmfao I'm just kidding lol well I sure can tell ya you have a 1UP on Biggy and that is the Etching looks way better then stamping it well I'm done till next Thursday viddy 🇨🇦😎👍🇨🇦😎👍🇨🇦😎👍
7:32 this is the most important part if you want hard ingot with tough core .. look at BigStackD last video he put that ingot on the ice block again and core couldnt get hard and whole ingot broke... So keep goin and your ingots will never broke 🥰
Well I think you know what I'm gonna say, great show, and by all means don't let Mom see this, she might put two and two together. Lol be safe brother and enjoy your weekend
Slide100 there are definitely different grades. For example in the iPhone 6 remember the bending it was 6000 series aluminum. Then apple learned and upgraded to the 7000 series aluminum.
@@TheHearseAroundJimThorpe a few more, cast aluminum like auto wheels (most desired) cast engine parts, extruded aluminum, aluminum cans (easiest to find) Another UA-camr found out alloys the bad way, aluminum magnesium, magnesium is a big no no in home furnace casters
Hey I'm planning on meeting some aluminum as round stock and square stock for projects on my Mill and lathe. Are those ingots porous inside? Is there a way to make them like billet aluminum?
Daaamn Adam, did you again stole the crutches of your poor mother :) They are looking great! I also did some aluminum bullion today :) There will be a give away on all my three bathroom bullion metal bars: 1 copper, 1 brass and 1 aluminum bar will be given away soon :)
You wasted too much time showing cutting up, melting too many pieces etc. No one cares. Short 2 quick cuts and move on. You get trapped a lot in your vids showing too much non important crap. Cool projects but 12 min vid can be 5 min and just as informative
That was an ambitious flip. Awesome work.
Seeing Bigstacks popularity rise from burning down his house, Adrock breaks his legs in order to gain access to aluminum crutches

Safe to say, you have perfected the art of aluminum. Well done bro. Love the fire in the hole reference.
Excellent video man! Keep up the good work
That was a great one! Keep it going, you deserve the best.
Great video!! Always fun to watch!!
Hope you dont need crutches anytime soon. Awesome video as always
Great video as always. Can’t get enough of these
Awesome video!
Hard to believe that you can get that much aluminum from an armload of crutches. All the way around: perfect job. Etching is the icing on the cake. Thanks for posting. 👍
I mean they are durable and aluminum so it’s definitely thicc
Very nice. 👍 I have a couple crutches I have picked up while out driving and a lot of other scrap also. Hopefully in the next month I will be able to start melting down what I have. Keep the videos coming. I look forward every week for them 👍
That was cool to watch the aluminum pole circling the drain!
It would be super cool to see how much each crutch weighs in pure aluminum!
Thank you big stack an Ingot for the good shows you produce and I like that every Ingot and every coin and everything he casts has its own signature fingerprint like a snowflake good work
Another great ingot !!! Thanks for sharing.
Nice bar. Been sneaking moms crutches again. Lol I was thinking the same thing as Ralph on the sparks. Love the etching. Keep up the good work 🍻🍻🍻👍👍👍🐺
Thanks 🙏 yeah that pole was steel. I just threw it back in the recycling pile 👍🏻
hey does a 2kg crucible fit soda cans? starting out this wonderful hobby myself with a devil forge : )
Gosh what superb skills man! As always ya blew my mind! Thanks for sharing!
Adrock is placing the ingot on his shelf when he trips and sprains his ankle. "If only I had some... Aw, dammit...."
good work, thanks for the education! learned a good bit i had NEVER heard of.
Nice idea... salt and water i will try this one
Hey great videos keep it up man!!!
I use a log splitter to crush the aluminum flat and it helps break pieces apart to length without cutting.
@ 1:30 , FYI for people watching: See sparks while grinding? ... not Aluminum.... Iron/steel 👍
Nice ingot!! I'll be making loads of those when I get that mold too 👍😋👊
@@clambroth1923 Over there maybe, my scrapyard does take ingots, but they are not getting mine :D I like my pile of shinnies!

Oh man I work in a hospital and see tons of those things in the trash every week, I wish I wasn't so far away I'd ship them to you!
Haha I’ll pay the shipping.. send em my my 👍🏻
Ik like at least sell them because I know those ain’t free unless it covered by something
Great video bro
Outstanding perfection. Great video 👍🍻🍻
Wow didnt think it was that much weight in crushes! Lol
I can’t stress how badly I wanted to do this when I was on crutches.
People that have not experienced arm pit rash have no real idea why you say this.
@@donniebrown2896 I never needed to use them for way to long I mean they are uncomfortable but never to the point of this bad
Up here it's busted up snow shovels, especially since it's -58f the last 2 nights.
Ouch that’s cold.. I remember those days for sure
Is the solution the same to etch other metals? Like will it work on other metals?
Yes it will 👍🏻
@@ArtByAdrock thanks!
Great video! Quick question, I have been searching for the drill bits you have with the sanding pads on them, where do you get them and what are they called? Thanks!!
I get them off Amazon. Look up “Coceca 2 Inches 100pcs Sanding Discs Pad Kit” 👍🏻

Are the white blocks the plaster of Paris?
Does it matter which node of the battery is on the swab?
What the Hell Arock !! When u ask to borrow my crutches I thought u hurt yourself 😋
Oops 🤣🤣🤣
That crucible has seen better days, lol

Hello, i have a question, melt aluminium is toxic?
molten aluminum releases toxic fumes??
j'adore votre travail
Do crutches also go into the scrap metal?
if they no longer have up to date certification.
Nice job! Question though, are there different grades of aluminum like there are for steel? Or is it all just the same stuff, no matter the source?

They are not porous. I would assume they would machine just fine
What size is this forge??
It’s the 10Kg devil forge

That's a healthy ingot! :D

Everything I melt pretty much comes from friends 👍🏻

I havent seen anyone do that
