ALSO see her at 6 years old, first time singing in a recording studio. Yes 6 years old.. Here is the link with subtitles: ua-cam.com/video/RjQZKBpVaes/v-deo.html Reply
At 18 years old, she still moves many of us to tears. She just has a way of cutting right through to your heart. Rapid… you really ought to consider coming to her upcoming concert in Glendale, CA on September 20th. Watching her perform live is amazing.
In her sweet spot in front of a live audience and killing it. Just a 8 year old doing what she loves to do! “She is music” The elegance continues to shine through so mature beyond her age! What a young lady! From what I’ve heard the judges saw her talking with the guitarist and telling him exactly how she wanted it played-Angelina in Boss mode at 8-that is when they knew she was for real! 🇳🇴🇺🇸💯 Just a 8 year old doing what she loves to do! “She is music” from NGT! 🎼🎼The elegance continues to shine through so mature beyond her age! She won the finals with 46% of the vote of the 10 finalist let that sink in! 🇳🇴🇺🇸
Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius (now 18 y old) is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 71 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause her singing is so beautiful. Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul. Greatings from Germany.
Güten tag! Und danke für die netten worte! 💙😊 Sorry if that was terrible or if I thanked you for worms or something. It has been a LOOONG time since using my German last. 😅
Welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan. I am 78 and have to over 200 concerts of singers and groups from Elvis to the Greatful Dead to Pink Floyd and The Allman Brothers Band. I love them all. Angelina touches my soul. I believe she has been given a gift from God Almighty. ENJOY!
I think jumping back and forth is not a problem because as much as the older Angelina will blow you away, younger Angelina (10 - 13 yo) will still blow you away. It is all that good. Nice reaction.
True! Honestly, there are different stages in her life where she utilizes specific tools within her voice. All these stages are just as impressive because as she continued to grow, she also made sure she was nurturing her voice at the same time
I am fine with any approach you take continuing your Angelina journey. It took me months of listening to Angelina every day AND for her to release her first original song on Republic Records, "Million Miles", to understand how much her music was affecting my emotions. I now truly believe, everyone can FEEL her music at first listen, but sadly many people shy away from what they are feeling. Angelina, like every artist, is not everyone's cup of tea, but her music and her persistent message of kindness and love, have improved the quality of my life more than I can express.
Quincy Jones said the only other child that had such talent at such a young age was Michael Jackson ! At his request she performed his Frank Sinatra arrangement of "Fly Me to the Moon" at his 85th Birthday Celebration @ age 12 !!!
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song If there was ever a reason to believe in something greater than us, or in reincarnation, Angelina Jordan is it ❤💙
I believe jumping around is no problem as no matter what song you react too, you will never be disappointed. Don't worry about getting emotional, we all have and many of us can't hold back the tears. She is one of a kind and a gift to us all. Thanks for your reactions and support to Angelina.
there is so much content of her out there. you could literally watch the whole journey starting from her audition in norways got talent 2014 up until her recent Beyoncé cover. She got accustomed to performing for big crowds right off the bat, I don’t think there’s a single performance of hers where she looks nervous. On the contrary, she has always looked the most at peace when she’s on stage. Everyone says she’s a child prodigy and I 100% agree because how many 8 years olds do you know what can sing like THAT. She has grown and developed her voice in so many ways throughout the years, but we can’t forget the fact that she was very impressive from day 1. More people haven’t heard of her because her family are very protective and really tried to keep her promotions /marketing to a minimum because they wanted her to have as close to a normal childhood as possible. She didn’t move towards the US until her appearance on AGT the champions in 2020, but she has had music executives knocking on her door forever. Her AGT appearance really helped her gain a wider audience, despite not winning the show. Again, her parents made sure she wasn’t signing any crappy contracts along the way
I suggest “What a Wonderful World” (8yo). Angelina was invited to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize event and shows how she handled a live outdoor event with a live band and backup singers and a very large crowd. She makes you care about lyrics and music written and released in 1967.
👏I m here for your Angelina Jordan reactions- the more you talk the better! It s kind of a mental health project for Angels to share our experiences. Her voice is art that always lift your spirit and the world need music that makes us feel and connect. Please please continue reacting- still only 18.
A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a UA-cam video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on UA-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On UA-cam, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage. On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE. Angelina's next concert is on Sept 20th, 2024 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA.
Angelina's angels are enjoying your honest emotionally overwhelmed reactions to her singing. It reminds us of what we were like when we also first encountered her, some accidentally on UA-cam during the covid shutdown. There is no one like her. She is a child prodigy, a musical genius. And she just keeps getting better and better, beyond our imagination. Keep enjoying, and we will enjoy along with you.
Nice reaction! You are right about her protection being her family. Her uncle Mike is her Business Manager, her mother Sara and/or grandma Mery is always with her whenever she does an event/job, and her little sister Juliette keeps things light-hearted and fun when they are together. She calls her family her Shield, which is actually a song she wrote about them. Angelina really wants to get her music career going, but her uncle and mom still want her to take her time and do things more slowly and be more balanced when it comes to work and rest. I think they are doing a great job with her....
The music industry started sniffing around right after her audition with “Gloomy Sunday”, but her mother and extended family protected her by limiting access to her until she grew up preserving her childhood. By the way, we already know the answer to the question of where she will be in 10 years!
Hi from Norway 🇧🇻😊 i have watched Norway got Talent every year, and Angelina is the only i remember🥰 i remember the goosbumps in my heart❤️❤️ i would probably go watch her Bohemian rapsodi on Americas got Talent, the Champions next☺️👍and her Elton Johns goodbye yellow brick road there. Both just supreme❤️❤️❤️ it was so good that the members of Queen gave her the rights to her version❤️❤️❤️
This young girl and now young woman is bringing back real 🎶 music 🎶 Unmanipulated vocals and real instrumentals. Your doing a great job Rapid, glad to see your numbers climbing. Come on Angles let's get this man to his first 1000.
After watching this hundreds and hundreds of times I am in bits again, how she makes you feel doesn't go, if anything it gets more , she is like a daughter of granddaughter to most of us ,as she grows up you don't love her less , she does have the unmatched ability to sing from the deepest part of the essence of her being , a well used comment if you want to listen to music or an artist listen to anyone but if you want to feel it then experience AJ she is a heart to heart exchange, beyond her gigantic talent she transcends even that for just being Angelina.💜👣😇
Hi greetings from Norway.I first discovered Angelina Jordan Astar when she first participated in Norway's got talent 2014, I still remember that I was shocked in a positive way, and I have ever since that time been a fan. At that time, a fan of a child. She touched my soul again and again. I am so glad to see you react the same way i did when I watched her on norwegian television so many years ago. 😀 I haven't been active in the comment section on youtube for some years now, but i had to write comment here. I am so glad to see how many people have become fans of her since she moved to USA, and after her performance on AGT the champions. I hope you will watch her videos from now and in chronological order. Yeah the judge Bjarte meant what you interpreted. We had at that time never seen such a talented child singer in Norway before. Angelina has the ability to touch our soul again and again. 😇
More Angelina songs I recommend: Bohemian Rhapsody (from agt), Fly me to the moon (from the view), Feeling Good (youngest version), It's a man's world, and now I'm the Fool. They are all fantastic
I would suggest you mostly take the long, arduous journey into Angelina chronologically. The development and growth you will see will simply astonish you time and time again. Just when you think she can't possible get any better, she does. The growth of a genius is a special thing to witness. . 😎
😊😊👌👌😊😊ANGELINA JORDAN LIVE IN LOS ANGELES Angelina will debut NEW music at her September 20th concert, at the Alex Theatre, in Glendale, California. "Ticketmaster"😊😊
Hello thanks to you I feel like I am just discovering Angelina. I think you should just bounce around then you will notice just how versatile Angelina is. Respect from New Zealand 👍
Man, don’t feel embarrassed if water comes to your eyes. It’s the cost. Or rewards to listen to Angelina . Bigger tougher guys have fallen to tear drops confusion before you.
There's no wrong way to follow her. She sounds so good at younger ages that if you go back and forth you don't feel like "she's just a kid" when you go back. My only problem with chronological is that it takes so long before you'll get to her newer stuff (unless you did multiple vids per day) and you're a better man than me if you can stick to the chronological order when you see all the comments and thumbnails at the end of videos. lol Any way you choose, it's an amazing journey;)
My nf friend! Look brother you can’t go wrong with any AJ reaction no matter what age. And I’m sure you’re going to hear that from all the angels and their right. This is my honest to God opinion of this young lady, now you know that nf is still my favorite artist because of his writing and honesty in his lyrics and if you do the nf journey start to finish it’s about 67 songs total and for me to say that I absolutely connect and love 61 of them is the absolute truth and I’ve never been able to say that about any artists because normally there are 4-5 songs I just don’t vibe with. In Angelina’s case……… no matter the age or song sir, she is the ONLY artist that I can honestly say that out of the 170 songs and covers I’ve listened to there is NOT 1, NOT 1 that I consider bad!! And that’s the honest truth! Bohemian rhapsody, whenever you get to it is mesmerizing, hypnotic just amazing sir! Personally my favorite stretch of AJ is her 10-13 era! Especially around 12 with California Dreaming, Stay, and A Million Years Ago!!
My friend, for sure you are a rapid one. At least as it comes to understand what Angelina is all about. 😊👍 I see it all - what I, myself, "went through" 10 years ago as this all first took place here in Norway. Seeing you, makes it all come back to me, and I totaly relate to your reactions. Thank you for these wonderfull and heartfelt videos so far. I`m so looking forward to see you continue this "fairy tale" tour of yours. I expect it will all be like a blessing to your days and your life. As it has been to me. 👣As for your next ones, - I do agree to go for the "back and forth" approach, as it is by now so so much to pick from, and it will all be on the scale from "Great to Air gasping" in its beauty and perfection. Then, I also suggest that first of all you should take her next two 8 year old performances with you👣 After the "Norske Talenter" show, he first went to the outdoor summer TV show "Allsang på Grensen", (sing allong at the (norwegian/swedish boarder) and she performed the great classic from Dinah Washington, "What A Difference A Day Makes" ua-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/v-deo.html and then, some weeks later, she went to the US to perform "Fly Me To The Moon" on the TV-show "The View" ua-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/v-deo.html 🤗
Four reactions from you to Angelina Jordan in four days... 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 ... says a lot! Like many others, you apparently need to explore her range as quickly as possible. Welcome to the club! 🙂👍
Yes, you should definitely react to when they announce her as the winner of NGT. It’s great! Also, you should react to her singing “Summertime” again two years later at age 10 at a benefit concert with Norways prestigious KORK orchestra. Absolutely beautiful! I love your Angelina reactions!
Your reactions are wonderful to behold. That's how we all felt, and still feel. About moving forward, can I recommend before you do, you make a point of listening to What a Difference a Day Makes, and also Fly Me To The Moon on The View, both at age 8, the summer after winning to competition. Just to orient yourself before looking ahead. Also, may I recommend: Songs not to miss: Every Time We Say Goodbye, and Feeling Good on the Livestream Gir Tilbake, both at age 10. I'd Rather Go Blind, and A Million Years Ago, both at age 12. Million Miles (her own composition) at age 15. Many, many more in between, too many to mention. Just dive in and swim around!
I think you should jump around between old & new performances. If you try to do the chronological route, it will take you a year or two just to get to where she is today & you will still be a year or two behind, by then. Her version of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT-Champions is so amazing & unique that the remaining members of Queen said "Wow, what a rendition." Later they gave her the copyright to her shortened unique version. What artists do that for another artist. I can't think of any. It's no wonder Norway's Monarchy & the Prime Minister declared her a "National Treasure" when she was 8 yo. Just sayin'!!!
I dislike folks comparing her to others. Just take her vocals and performances as they are. I have yet to receive more Greenstamps in any comparison debate. Darn... I could use a new coffee-table, too.
I would recommend her performance of "What a Difference a Day Makes" on the TV show _Allsang på Grensen_ for your next reaction, before you start "jumping around". (It took place just a few weeks after she won NGT, and in my mind always seems like it goes with those other performances, like a kind of "capstone project" after a course of study.)
We all know how you feel! I know some folks want you to go chronologically, but I like jumping around. It's a little selfish of me because I want to see your reaction to older Angelina sooner rather than later. Bohemian Rhapsody (age 13) is a great next choice. It's where I "met" Angelina and it made me want to jump full force into that rabbit hole. I would love to see you jump up to age 16 "Suspicious Minds", and age 17 "Now I'm the Fool" and "Good in Goodbyes" and age 18 "Bad Valentine" and then back to age 8 What a Difference a Day Makes" and age 10 "Feeling Good" (on the stream gir tilbake). lol! But, really, anywhere works for me. Sept 20 is going to be great (concert and new music)! Loving this journey!
I agree with some angels that Bohemian Rhapsody is a good place to go next. However, where some of the attention from the judges was focused on the family around her and the protection they provide, you may want to jump next to her original song Shield. The version is on Norwegian TV when Angelina was 12. She likely wrote it when she was 11. It is a song about the protection her family provides, the shield. My favorite early song from her.
The problem I have with the Bohemian Rhapsody performance is that you get the usual sense that the AGT bunch think that "OOoo . .you have made it NOW that you are on AGT. Like recent Maya Neelakantan ... again the AGT crew acted like her appearing on the show was the greatest thing since sliced bread .. in reality Maya is known to the metal community and doesn't need AGT. Heck she is going to play a song on stage with Testament. Angelina is working with multi Grammy award song writer Toby Gad .. AGT not needed - Angelina and Maya will make it because of their simply amazing talent and work ethic.
There's probably some truth in what you say, but I think Bohemian Rhapsody served a different purpose for Angelina. It was a huge introduction to United States audience for her. Many of the angels discovered her because of that TV performance. It allowed her to create a fairly large UA-cam following more quickly than it would have otherwise. It connected her with Heidi Klum who has helped her along the way and connected her with other important people. Her Bohemian Rhapsody video on UA-cam has a nest many tens of millions of views If not more. I haven't looked recently. I'd say that was an important point in her career. There are lots of very talented vocalists out there who never make it because they've never had an opportunity like this so it works both ways.
Please try to enable subtitles for anyone listening outside of the English-speaking world. Your journey is wild and I'm an (Angelina) fan. Great job, please go ahead. 👍
She makes you feel and she makes you feel very deeply. You don't come away feeling the same after any session with this lovely little person...and it doesn't change over time. This is not the last time she will touch you. She is awesome, indeed.
Most child singers are taught to smile big, memorize notes and belt them out. Not AJ. Her voice is so subtle and soft that she draws you in as you sit on edge listening to her. In this song you know she’s in touch with the guitar player (she looks over to him near the end of the song).
Great reaction man and I mean that sincerely! Thank you for taking my suggestion to do this two-fer. I agree with others who say that from here on you can jump around, Bohemian Rhapsody, I Put a Spell on You, whatever, because every performance is a mind blower. However, before you embark on that journey, Angelina's next performance at age 8, the summer after winning this is an outdoor concert in her home Norway that stands as one her most iconic and popular, the jazz classic "What a Difference a Day Makes" ua-cam.com/video/ZSfgCIGd7k4/v-deo.html I think if you polled the Angels they would agree.
Hey, Bro. Crying on a higher level HERE as well😊 Beautiful reaction again! Thanks for having reacted to all 4 performances on the show 🙂 And yes, there IS a video of the announcement sequence as well, but I guess you've already found it by now. Anyway, my 5 cents, as reflected in the poll, is that you should bounce back and forth in her catalogue, and Bohemian Rhapsody next sounds like an awesome idea to me. She was 13 in that one, and once again, prepare to be ABSOLUTELY blown away. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
This one is special isn't he? I feel the authentic appreciation on a deep level. My suggestion was to linger a little longer at age 8 with What a Difference a Day Makes and maybe The View before moving to random selections.
You should React next to her cover of I Who Have Nothing which she performed in a studio at age 6 or 7 before she went on Norway’s Got Talent. Then you should check out her AGT performances at age 13.
This was an great reaction my friend, first time i seen it done this way ( subscribed btw ) ; ) No mater what u choose age from young to older or jump ahead, is no problem ; ) Just expect the unexpected.......... Bohemian Rhapsody will surprise u in a way u never expect my friend ; ) have a good one take care an stay safe . Greetings from Norway ; )
Thank you for the kind words and for tuning in!! I’m glad you were able to get some enjoyment from it! Wouldn’t be possible without our prodigy here!! 💙😊
You are right about the music industry. She is very well protected with family. IMO - I think the reason she didn’t win AGT is that she wouldn’t sign a contract with Simon Cowell. Her uncle Mike, is doing a super job as her manager.
Bounce. The family thing is very big with her family .. not the "normal" family though .. her family are more like some kind of modern Viking family .. Grandmother, Mother and Uncle watch from the sidelines .. War Axes and Swords handy nearby. Heck .. her manager is her Uncle Mike Astar. Note the last name .. her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar (her mom's surname) .. A-Star
Here is AJ's SUMMERTIME performance at KORK, with a full orchestra and at a canopy'd crowd. This version - to me - seems like Gerschwin's original intent: a slow, dreamy summer tune sitting next to the river and its rhythm. I think the performances are about 3 years apart and while there can be quality distinctions, for me it's more interesting to see how AJ treats both with reverence in each environment. There's the glossy, darkened TV studio, and then the softly sunny summer's day crowd, lounging with their mint juleps (they wish-!). ua-cam.com/video/stwF4ti1tbc/v-deo.html
Great reaction and if you are able, she is having a concert on 20th of September at The Alex Theater in Glendale California at 7 pm. It will be life changing for you, Trust me on that, God Bless!
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 PLEASE do all three AGT performances. Yes, you are right about her family protecting her. They turned down many offers, including Disney, so that she could have a normal childhood. When Angelina was 12, she wrote a song about her families protection called Shield. There are two versions on UA-cam of this song. If you review this song please include the short interview that is just prior to her TV performance. It's short but offers insight into her mind and thinking about how her family has protected her and about her outlook on life at 12 years of age. I found this young lady accidentally around a year ago and she is the most amazing singer i have heard in my 65 years. I'm talking like Ella Fitzgerald meets Janis Joplin. All the skill of the first and all the heart of the second. I am flying to LA on the 20th to see her live. Previously I only saw bands if they came to Dallas/ Fort Worth area, but for her i am flying to LA and back the same day. She is just an amazing vocalist and an even more amazing human being. Wait till you have watched a few interviews then watch her demeanor before and after she sings. As good as she is, and as young, she remains very humble. It's what I call a beautiful enigma. She is fearless but humble at the same time. What an astounding human being she is.❤❤❤❤👣

@RapidReactionz To be honest I can't tell where I put the interview and the performance of Shield you asked for but they are all under a remark by you and are replies to you so you should be able to find them. If you cannot then please let me know and I will try again. Thank you for exploring Angelina's music. I think I may have put them under a different review of yours of Angelina. But they all note they are about the song Shield.
Seeing your reaction to Bang Bang, I think you’ll like her version of Chris Isaac’s “Wicked Game”, where she accompanies herself on piano. Whatever her age, she is just a pure joy to listen to; and her skill levels are unbelievable. Above all, for me, is the way I will never tire of her gorgeous voice! I love seeing the effect her voice has on you; if you can manage to see her live …. !
Thank you for recommending this! I will definitely add it to the list! Any and all recommendations help since she has such a massive catalog to catch up on! 😊💙
Sir, because of her singing/performing so many musical stiles and genres, she was later able to create her own sound. You surely jump a bit around in her portfolio to understand, where she is coming from. Be safe, Elmar from Germany
What you should start out with is there is a fan made documentary it's titled. " Born to Sing Angelina Jordan the early years " it is Excellent !! There is also another documentary made by her mother Sara It was made about the first of this year .. Spoiler Alert it contains a lot of her newer stuff and it to is Excellent it's titled 10 years in the making Angelina Jordan...

I agree that Bohemian Rhapsody is a good choice for your next video. But when you do, please also react to Yellow Brick Road and Someone to love. These are the two other songs she sang on AGT. They are both equally amazing but sadly, often get passed by.
Very nice reaction, RR. Angelina is not only a great, self-driven musical artist, she's also a great human being. Please watch or react to the 2 attached links I'm putting below. Awesome thank you wild bill

One of the judges said that he knew AJ was a genius when he watched her bossing the bass guitar player around during rehearsals of Bang Bang.
Put all of her songs on the wall. Throw a dart with your eyes closed. You can't miss. And the best is yet to come! ❤
She’s done so many, it might take two walls! Lol! 😂
You really do get this girl..“She’s not an ordinary girl by any means”…you don’t yet know just how accurate that statement is but you will in time 🙏
In her sweet spot in front of a live audience and killing it. 🇳🇴🇺🇸💯

Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius (now 18 y old) is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 71 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. @@billeaton9562 thank you!! 😊✌️
I like jumping back and forth between young and old
Quincy Jones said the only other child that had such talent at such a young age was Michael Jackson ! At his request she performed his Frank Sinatra arrangement of "Fly Me to the Moon" at his 85th Birthday Celebration @ age 12 !!!
Angelina is awesome ❤
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song If there was ever a reason to believe in something greater than us, or in reincarnation, Angelina Jordan is it ❤💙
No one like The Barefoot Princess of Jazz. ❤👣
The barefoot Princess is absolutely an angel sent from heaven…
@@Marie-wv6sp Thank you for this! 💙 You don’t have to worry about me talking, I can’t keep it bottled up if I tried 🤣
Thank you for this excellent summary of young Angelina Jordan's major accomplishments so far!
AWESOME REACTION.....please react to the ending show....been following Angelina almost 9 years.....still gives me tears and goosebumps....

The like, the comment. Welcoming a true new angel!
My friend, for sure you are a rapid one. At least as it comes to understand what Angelina is all about. 😊👍
I see it all - what I, myself, "went through" 10 years ago as this all first took place here in Norway.
Then, I also suggest that first of all you should take her next two 8 year old performances with you👣
After the "Norske Talenter" show, he first went to the outdoor summer TV show "Allsang på Grensen", (sing allong at the (norwegian/swedish boarder) and she performed the great classic from Dinah Washington, "What A Difference A Day Makes" ua-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/v-deo.html
and then, some weeks later, she went to the US to perform "Fly Me To The Moon" on the TV-show "The View" ua-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/v-deo.html 🤗

Also, may I recommend:
Songs not to miss:
Every Time We Say Goodbye, and Feeling Good on the Livestream Gir Tilbake, both at age 10.
I'd Rather Go Blind, and A Million Years Ago, both at age 12.
Million Miles (her own composition) at age 15.
Many, many more in between, too many to mention. Just dive in and swim around!
Yes, I think bouncing around is best. It'll take forever for you to hear her recent work.
It’s really not necessary to compare Jordan to other singers, when her vocals are so unique!
I dislike folks comparing her to others. Just take her vocals and performances as they are. I have yet to receive more Greenstamps in any comparison debate. Darn... I could use a new coffee-table, too.

Great Reaction! She's amazing eh. Canadian Angel :)
This was made famous by Nancy Sinatra, Frank's daughter. I believe it was also performed by Cher.
Senti falta das legendas do UA-cam!!!
@@leechap3 Yes, he is special 🙂
You should React next to her cover of I Who Have Nothing which she performed in a studio at age 6 or 7 before she went on Norway’s Got Talent. Then you should check out her AGT performances at age 13.
Or, you can react to her cover of Fly Me To The Moon when she was on the USA show The View at age 8 right after she won Norway’s Got Talent.
A-Star
What a Difference a Day Makes, done a few months after this, should be your next reaction!
I was one of those who was voting for her 😊
Here is AJ's SUMMERTIME performance at KORK, with a full orchestra and at a canopy'd crowd.

What an astounding human being she is.❤❤❤❤👣
Thank you for letting me know! If you happen to have a link to the video w/ the interview prior to the performance, would you mind dropping it here?
Helps make sure I’m checking out the right vid without spoiling anything. THANK YOU!! 💙😊
@RapidReactionz Interview prior to Shield. It starts in Norwegian but quickly changes to English.

@RapidReactionz I accidentally put the interview and song links below the reply of yours about subtitles should be working below.
Just following you on your journey…
Sir, because of her singing/performing so many musical stiles and genres, she was later able to create her own sound. You surely jump a bit around in her portfolio to understand, where she is coming from.
Be safe, Elmar from Germany
What you should start out with is there is a fan made documentary it's titled. " Born to Sing Angelina Jordan the early years " it is Excellent !! There is also another documentary made by her mother Sara It was made about the first of this year .. Spoiler Alert it contains a lot of her newer stuff and it to is Excellent it's titled 10 years in the making Angelina Jordan...
There is another one that doesn't get enough attention, by Arab Man, "The Next Great One" ua-cam.com/video/kbq9wwURy0w/v-deo.html
Another reason I admire Angelina is because of her support to under privileged children. Just thought I would let you know. Cheers mate 👍
🎼🤗👍🏼
Good call to go back and forth , It would take a long time to get to her later performances otherwise. Right there with you with your sentiments, !!
Wait until you hear her cover adele😂❤😊
I can’t wait!! 😍😍😍

Love is a game for fools
Probably 5/6 more Adele songs but these four….., well let’s just say are some of her best vocals ❤❤❤
I agree that Bohemian Rhapsody is a good choice for your next video. But when you do, please also react to Yellow Brick Road and Someone to love. These are the two other songs she sang on AGT. They are both equally amazing but sadly, often get passed by.
For me Yellow Brick Road and Someone to Love rank number one and two on AGT with Bohemian third.
please put automatic subtitles in the videos, thank you
YOU DO KNOW.....
ANGELINA ARRANGES EVER SINGLE SONG HERSELF.......
Very nice reaction, RR. Angelina is not only a great, self-driven musical artist, she's also a great human being. Please watch or react to the 2 attached links I'm putting below. The 1st one is an interview at 9 years old after publishing her book on why she doesn't wear shoes and the other is the song "Unchained Melody" she sang during the interview. You might wanna have a box of tissues close by.

You stopped the video too soon. If you had gotten past the ad, you would have seen her win. It was very emotional.
how about enabling subtitles
